RWBY The Elden Rise

Elden Ring is undoubtedly one of the best games to be released in recent years. One day, several Elden Ring players woke up in worlds that were not theirs, but that was not all. Before arriving in these new worlds a strange voice told them that they all had one of the numerous bosses of Elden Ring sealed within them. Jasper is one of these people and finds himself in a world that is strangely familiar to him. Why did he end up here? which boss is locked inside him? So many questions and so few answers.

Chapter 1: A new beginning !

Everything was black, Jasper had been wandering around for several minutes now in what seemed like an infinite void. How did he get here? Why is he here? Why him ?

Several questions to which he did not have the answers. He only remembers what he did before he was here. He had just created a new character on Elden Ring because after seeing the trailer for the "Shadow of the Erdtree" DLC he was really hyped and wanted to redo the story of this game that he appreciated so much.

He was challenged to play the entire game without leveling up.

This was going to keep him busy until the DLC came out.

After a few hours of play he felt tired and decided to take a nap for a few minutes before resuming his game but when he opened his eyes he found himself lying in the middle of this void.

At first he was nervous, having no idea where he was but then he began to explore the void but as he expected everything was empty, only darkness was visible as far as the eye could see.

Only one question was in his head as he continued to walk aimlessly in the void. How was he going to get out of here?

Suddenly he was pulled out of his thoughts when a voice broke the silence of the void. The voice was strange, as if several people were speaking at the same time.

"Welcome player! Congratulations on being chosen as host!"

Hearing this Jasper remained silent for a moment before responding to the voice.

"Ummm hi.."

No answer.

"...can you tell me what I'm doing here?"

"As we just told you, you have been chosen to become a host."

"uhh yeah it's cool and all but...I never said that it interested me so...if you could send me back to where I came from that would be great!"

no response came from the strange voice. Seeing that she wasn't going to let him go, Jasper sighed and said.

"What exactly is this host thing?"

Suddenly the voice spoke again.

"Like several other players, you have been chosen to become the host of one of the many bosses of Elden Ring."

Hearing this his mind suddenly froze.

'Did she just say Elden Ring?'

The fact that she was talking about the games he had just played a few hours ago made him ask even more questions but for the moment only one question intrigued him more than the others.

"Which boss exactly?"

When he said these words a flash of light illuminated the entire void. Jasper put his arms in front of his face so as not to be dazzled by the sudden source of light.

When his gaze finally got used to the light he raised his head towards the source of light and that's where he saw several energy spheres of different colors floating in the air in a circle.

At the sight of such a thing he could not help asking the voice.

"Hmmm what are these things?"

"These things you see are the souls of bosses, at least those who have still not been linked to a host."

" What do you mean ?"

"I mean other people before you have already been linked to a boss and have already been sent to their new world and now it's your turn."

Hearing this Jasper couldn't help but ask again.

"Is there really no way to reach an agreement and send me back to my world?"

But once again he got no response from the voice, only being able to sigh and accept his fate.

"Alright, let's settle this matter."

As he uttered these words, the spheres which until then had only floated began to rotate in a circle at full speed.

Seeing this, Jasper couldn't stop his instinct from making him take a few steps back.

The spheres spun in a circle for a moment before one of them separated itself from the others and rushed straight towards Jasper.

The sphere was primarily made up of white energy but a mixture of red, black and gold energy was at its center.

Jasper didn't have time to react when the sphere hit him head-on in the chest, propelling him backwards which made him fall heavily on his back.

At this point he could feel his mind getting foggier and foggier as if he was going to lose consciousness at any moment.

The only thing that kept him conscious was the voice that spoke.

"You have finally been linked to a boss, now it is time for you to go to your new world, increase the bond that unites you with your boss, become strong in order to be ready for the arrival of the Erdtree!"

When the voice finished saying these words, Jasper's mind went completely blank. He does not know how long he remained unconscious but when he opened his eyes he was no longer in the void where he had been before but in a forest.

He stood up and felt his chest where the sphere had entered, checking if anything unusual had happened but to his great surprise nothing seemed to be different.

He sighed in relief before finally looking around to get a better idea of where he was. Everything seemed like a normal forest, he was alone among the trees, a breeze blowing through the leaves and only the ambient sounds of nature could be heard.

*Sigh* "What do I do now.....I have no idea where I am and what type of world I'm in....I could very well be in a fantasy world or a post apocalyptic world for all I know..."

He scratched his head while thinking about this but saw no other solution for him than to start exploring the forest to perhaps discover useful information about the world where he was because for the moment the only thing he was sure that this world is not his as the voice clarified earlier.

He began to walk with an unpleasant feeling as if he was being watched. He walked for several minutes, wandering through the forest without any real purpose, always having this unpleasant feeling of being observed.

To take his mind off things, he began to think about which boss could have linked up with him.

It could be Placisusax...the simple idea of being able to manipulate the red lightning of ancient dragons excites him to the highest point, or maybe Malenia...having her sword as well as her mastery would be really practical even if he doesn't know how he would handle the scarlet rot problem.

Thinking about this he realized that he could also run into a crappy boss like the Soldier of Godrick in the tutorial.

Just thinking about it weighed on his morale but he decided not to pay too much attention to it since he still had no idea what boss he had inside him.

Suddenly he stopped when he heard the sound of movement near him in the bushes. He looked all around him but saw nothing, it was at that moment that he heard moving right behind him and before he could think he jumped straight in front of him dodging something that was heading straight towards his head and hit a tree instead which broke in two.

He rolled before turning towards where the thing that was targeting him was coming from. At that moment his gaze widened when he saw who was in front of him.

A creature that was strangely familiar to him because he had already seen it in a series that he watched a lot a long time ago.

What stood before him was none other than a grimm from the RWBY series and more precisely an Ursa if he remembered correctly.

'Don't tell me he sent me here!' he said to himself but was cut off from his thoughts when the creature charged him at full speed, leaving him very little time to react.

He jumped to the side, narrowly dodging the claw slash that was aimed straight at his chest. The grimm turned towards him, clearly annoyed at missing his prey once again.

'Holy shit...what can I do...I don't have a weapon to defend myself and I don't think I could escape this monster if I ran...'

The ursa launched several attacks towards Jasper who narrowly dodged them each time but he felt his stamina diminished with each dodge.

Seeing a claw strike coming straight towards his head, Jasper ducked to dodge the blow and found himself behind the grimm but he had no time to see the second strike of the Ursa's paw which hit him right in the back, 'sending him crashing heavily against a tree.

Jasper felt a sharp pain run through his body and barely had time to open his eyes before the grimm rushed at him again.

He rolled to the side dodging the ursa's bite but was hit again by a second claw strike which sent him again against a tree.

His whole body ached and several thoughts plagued his mind.

'Am I going to die here this soon? I didn't want to be here in the first place! It's the fault of that shitty voice that I'm in such a mess....I didn't even have time to find out what boss I had...'

While all these thoughts were going through his mind, the Ursa charged, determined to put an end to it. Suddenly Jasper felt something appear in his hand, he didn't know what it was and didn't have the strength to lower his head to look because the sound of it was causing him too much pain.

The only thing he could see was the imposing silhouette of the ursa which charged straight at him. The grimm brandished its paw in the air ready to finish off Jasper.

*Clang*

The grimm let out a grunt of surprise when he saw that his attack had not hit its target. For his part Jasper had a look of shock on his face when he saw his arm that he had raised reflexively to block the grimm's attack, But what surprised him the most was what he was holding in his hand.

It was a dagger that was very familiar to him, made of what appeared to be stone and a blade made of an amber colored material.

"Is this… the Cinquedea!!!"

He was pulled out of his thoughts when the grimm roared in anger.

Surprisingly the pain that ran through his body had disappeared and he was able to get up. It was time to end this fight that has already lasted too long..

The ursa rushed towards jasper who dodged it with a much greater speed than before and cut the right side of the grimm's stomach with the dagger.

Growing in pain the ursa tried to follow up with another attack but jasper disappeared again without the monster being able to react and began to riddle the grimm with attacks from all directions.

Strangely, Jasper had the impression that he had always known how to do this even if it was the first time he fought.

Several cut marks were visible on the body of the grimm which in a burst of despair struck the ground with its two front paws creating a shock wave in order to repel jasper but the latter jumped into the air shortening the radius of action of the shock wave and found himself right above the grimm's head.

He grabbed the dagger with both hands and with a quick and precise blow plunged into the grimm and decapitated it with a single blow. The ursa's head whirled in the air before falling a few meters further away.

The body fell heavily to the ground before disintegrating. Strange golden particles came out of the grimm's body before entering the body of jasper who did not notice them as he was busy catching his breath.

"I....did it...I fucking did it!!!"

suddenly the pain that had disappeared resurfaced from nowhere and completely paralyzed Jasper who fell head first against the ground unable to move.

He could feel his conscience fading with the pain and before he lost it completely he saw a human figure coming out of the bushes and heading towards him.

"Hey, are you okay? Stay with me!"
