Three hours and two favors. That is what it cost Logan to get Lapis to agree to open the Vault.
.
Those three hours were torment for Logan. Hours that he would never get back. But in the end, it was worth it as he got the Relic of Destruction.
.
The Relic appeared shaped like an ornate sword. The hilt and pommel were golden with a silver band wrapping around the handle. The blade itself was a shimmering blue.
.
Logan sighed as he took the Relic of destruction and put it away in his [Inventory], feeling the same with every relic. With every Relic, Logan felt something compelling him to use the Relic then and there.
.
With the Relic of Knowledge, Logan felt compelled to call out Jinn to ask her a question. With the Relic of Creation, Logan felt the call to call out Ambrosius and have him create his wildest desires. The Relic of Destruction, on the other hand, Logan felt the need to destroy everything in his sight.
.
A less mentally strong person would have fallen to the Relics' complement. For Logan, they were mild migraine at the most.
.
With the collection of the third Relic, Logan headed out of the Vault where an inebriated Lapis sat drinking more wine, she was a stickler for wine and a lightweight at that, then she weighed. Logan just sighed at her state and used his ash to pick her and the empty wine bottles up before leaving the Vault. As he exited the Vault, Theodore; the headmaster of Shade; greeted Logan.
.
Theo: "Logan, how did it go?" Theodore, a clean-shaven middle age man, asked. His purple eyes showed that it was all business.
Logan: "It went just as you expected." Logan sighed as he dropped Lapis down and sent the wine bottles away into his [Inventory].
Theo: "Well, at least we don't have to worry about another theft." Theo sighed as he turned away. "I trust you know the way out?"
Logan: "... *sigh*... I said I was sorry..." Logan muttered as he left Lapis where she was and walked out.
.
Logan didn't care how Theodore treated him, after all, it was his kid's fault that they tried to emulate Logan's early years. Though, Logan did instruct him for a few days on how to fight. But how was Logan supposed to know that his kid would run off and try to fight Grimm without an aura? Logan did save his kid, but to this day, Theodore always kept Logan at an arm's width.
.
With the Relic secured, Logan called Ozpin. After a lengthy talk, Logan hung up and made his way away from Shade and Vacuo heading off towards Vale. After a few hours of flight and making sure no one was around, Logan took out a teleportation talisman that would take him to Magus' hideout. This was something that Magus had given Logan a while ago when Logan needed to get to the island since it couldn't be found physically or magically.
.
Once Logan tore the talisman in half, a vortex opened up in front of him. Logan then walked through without hesitation and found himself in the room he first found himself in when he met Magus. With a grunt, Logan shrugged off the dizziness of the teleportation and walked out of the room, intent on finding Magus and seeing if he had the Relic of Choice. It took a minute, but Logan made it to Magus' library where he found him reading from a thick tome with an old forgotten language on the front of it.
.
Magus: "Yes, I have the crown." Magus spoke without looking up from his tome. "I asked 01 to retrieve it silently whenever possible. And no, I didn't tell her to use your wedding as a distraction."
.
Logan didn't even get a chance to speak before Magus answered his unasked questions. Logan just sighed and walked over to where Magus was standing and asked the next question on his lips.
.
Logan: "And where is it?" Logan asked, sighing just a bit at the end.
Magus: "With 02, he is seeing if it is possible to recreate the abilities of the crown." Magus answered as a second tome flew down to him and switched places with the one in his hand. "He's in 04's workshop as we speak."
Logan: "Thanks, this makes things far easier than I need." Logan told Magus as he turned on his heel and went to walk out.
Magus: "There is no need to go yourself." Magus called out as Logan was leaving. "They will come if you call for them."
Logan: "I know, but I need them to verify a few things I'm getting once I have all four Relics."
Magus: "Anything of interest?" Magus asked.
Logan: "A copy of my gun, a wand made from the world tree, and a tome of Druid magic." Logan answered, uncaring about the rewards.
Magus: "I would like a copy of that tome, if you don't mind."
Logan: "That's fine by me." Logan said as he rounded the corner and out of the library.
.
Logan sighed, ever since Logan screwed with their plans, Magus has been in the depths of his library doing all he could to salvage their plans and to incorporate Logan into them. Logan had offered to help in any way that he could. But they rejected his offer, saying that he needed to stay in the view of the Brother Gods so they know he hasn't disappeared. They had plans for Logan and Logan would help where he could, but it was for the best if Logan lived his life.
.
Logan shook those thoughts from his head as he found himself outside 04's workshop. He knocked before he entered and found himself inside a vast room filled with numerous machines and worktables. Off to one corner were 01 and 04 as they were studying the Relic of Choice with special monocules as they poked and prodded at it with various tools. 02 then looked up and saw Logan and smiled.
.
02: "Logan!" 02 spoke up, a bit loud for him to be heard. "I figured you come sooner or later."
04: "Logan, good to see you!" 04 turned around and shouted.
Logan: "It's good to see you guys too." Logan called out as he walked over. "How's the examination going?"
02: "It's a pretty simple clairvoyance spell that just overpowered with mana." 02 explained as they started putting away tools as Logan came close. "Unweaving the spell was the easy part. What we were trying to do was enhance the effects. However, that was easier said than done."
04: "We won't bore you with all the details." 04 smiled as he understood Logan's character. "Basically, we can't without overloading the Relic due to how it was created."
Logan: "That's good." Logan sighed as he needed it. "Anyway, I require the relic."
04: "It's yours." 04 said as he tossed the Relic of Choice to Logan like a piece of scrap wood. "We've already made a functioning copy that works just as well. We were just seeing if we missed anything."
Logan: "Thanks." Logan said as he caught the Relic and felt the same compelling force. "There's a compelling charm on these, so you know," Logan told them as he stored it in his [Inventory] and pulled out his rewards from his mission/quest.
02: "We know, it's just a very small one." 02 spoke up about it. "To anyone under a certain threshold of mental strength, they'll feel compelled to use the Relics, as you call them."
Logan: "It may be weak for you guys, but it's a strong one for anyone else." Logan said as he looked over his new items.
.
{Mission Complete! Relic Retrieval: Retrieve all four Relics Rewards: [Ace of Spades], [Yggdrasil Wand], [Tome of Druid Magic]}
.
04: "Oh? You got some new things." 04 said as Logan put the rewards out on the workbench. "Let's see... A copy of your gun, a wand made from the world tree Yggdrasil, and a tome of Druid Magic."
.
Like 04 said, Logan got what he said. Logan got a copy of his [Ace of Spades] which he thought about giving to Glynda. A fifteen-inch wand made from the branches of Yggdrasil. And a dark gree tome of Druid magic with a depiction of Yggdrasil on its cover. Logan looked over the three rewards with a critical eye. Planning on what to do with each one.
.
Logan: "04, could you copy the tome without destroying it?" Logan asked.
04: "Easily." 04 said as he swiped the tome and walked off to one of the other workbenches.
02: "I'll see if I can't work over the gun." 02 said as he picked up the [Ace of Spades] and walked off.
Logan: "I doubt that Magus would need a better wand since he's already reached the peak of magic and wands are more of training wheels for wizards." Logan thought out loud ad he stored away the wand in his [Inventory] before walking over to 02 to help him in any way possible.
.
After an hour, 04 gave the original tome of Druid Magic back to Logan as he and 02 worked on upgrading the second [Ace of Spades]. The two managed to increase the firepower of it while 04 changed its color scheme of it to match Glynda's. The completed project looked and was as deadly as it was beautiful. The [Witch's Dream] as they called it was one of their best work. They took the [Ace of Spades] and gave it a purple and black color scheme while adding various effects to the mana bullets it fired. From fire and frost damage to shooting pure mana, it was any aspiring witch's wet dream.
.
Once the group of three finished their project, Logan bid them goodbye and left Magus' hideout via the teleportation room after grabbing another talisman. After teleporting back to where he teleported from the first time, Logan made his way to Vale where his wife and child awaited him. The flight was long for Logan since he had to fly himself, but Logan enjoyed the feeling of how free he was in the air.
.
Logan thought about seeing if there were any flight spells that Glynda could learn. He would have loved to have her fly by his side. Maybe one day even having Dorothy flying with them.
.
Logan: 'What was that one series with the gay headmaster? Harry something?' Logan thought as he did a barrel roll. 'I should see if there are any flying brooms for sale.'
.
After looking through his [System: Store], Logan didn't find any flying brooms but did find a flying carpet for a decent price. Though the downside of it it only had a few uses left. So Logan shelved the idea for now and continued to fly home.
.
Once Logan neared Vale, Ozpin called his scroll. After talking for a few minutes, Logan sighed and hung up. Changing his destination from his home to Ozpin's office. An hour later, Logan was flying into Ozpin's office with an annoyed expression on his face. Ozpin, Salem was just sitting in her corner sipping tea, just wanted to make sure that Logan had completed his task.
.
Logan, not wanting to hear any of what Ozpin wanted to say, pulled the three Relics that he was sent to get. Ozpin, for the better, saw that Logan wanted to be around his wife and child and let him be. Salem, on the other hand, pointed out that Glynda was out with Dorothy on a mother-daughter date to Logan.
.
Logan sighed and left them, deciding to just head home and start cooking for when the two got home.
.
Ozpin: "Dear?" Ozpin asked Salem after Logan left. "Why did you lie to him?" He asked genuinely confused. "You know that Team RWBY was asked to babysit for tonight."
Salem: "Fufufu," Salem giggled. "What? I can't have my own fun?" She asked.
Ozpin: "No, Honey." Ozpin just shook his head. "It's just I never knew you liked to play pranks."
Salem: "Just on Logan, dear." Salem said as she took a sip of her tea. "He forgets that he can sense where Glynda is at times. And that leads to some fun things. That's all."
.
Later that day, very loud and very mature noises echoed from Logan's and Glynda's dorm. Those that passed by ran off and away from their door. Men holding their privates and women blushing up a storm. Either muttering 'lucky bastard' or 'lucky bitch'.
