Green-Eyed Fairy

         Rina couldn't believe her eyes, or her ears.

She blinked a couple of times to confirm that she wasn't hallucinating, because the person staring right back at her, was the same face of the person who had shot her twice in her past life.

She blinked again, watching as the girl who was still crouched in the same position, slowly rose to her feet, green eyes sharp and calculated as they sized her up.

Rina would have scoffed in irritation if she wasn't going through the biggest shock of her entire life right now.

"System!" She screamed out as she turned away from the green eyed girl standing a few feet away from her, returning back to where she tied her horse at.

"You do not have to scream my name out loud, dear villainess. All you need to do when you need me is to call out to me in your mind and I'll be there. Hence you'd end up appearing psychotic because you're the only one who can hear me." The voice responded almost immediately, and if Rina wasn't almost fainting from shock, she might have laughed.

"Who the hell is that girl?" She demanded aloud as she hurriedly loosened her horse.

"That's your companion." The voice responded and Rina couldn't stop the scoff that escaped her throat even if she tried.

"That's Sara, the person who betrayed me… that's the person who turned my brother against me, the person who ruined my life and reputation before stabbing me behind my back." Rina spoke fast, while tugging on her horse, who for some reason, refused to move an inch forward.

"But somehow she appears different…? She has the same face as Sara, that's a face I'll never be able to forget. What the hell is going on?" Rina demanded before angrily throwing down the rope of the horse sinceit still refused to budge.

"I don't have data of your past life, so I can't answer most of your questions." The voice responded.

"Who is that girl that's supposed to be my new companion?" Rina insisted without missing a beat.

"From the data I have here… she's a fairy, or she used to be." The voice explained and Rina laughed in bewilderment.

"What?" She demanded.

"She used to be a fairy."

"How the hell is that possible? How can someone who literally murdered me end up becoming a fairy?" Rina questioned, while still in shock.

"From the data I have, I believe she was given a second chance just like you. But she clearly fucked it up like you did, it's why she obviously needs to go on a mission as well.

"So she's like a fallen fairy? Are fairies even real to begin with? I thought they weren't?"

"A lot of things are more real than you'd ever imagine." The voice responded and Rina scoffed as she slumped against a tree, suddenly feeling extremely weak.

"You can go ahead and kill me then… cause there's no way I'd be working with her, with someone who murdered me." Rina pointed out after a few minutes.

"I can't do that, and you can't back out of the mission after you accept it." The voice responded and Rina shrugged, eyes darting around.

"Fine, have it your way then. I'll kill myself then, it's better I face an enternal life of punishment or something than for me to work with her."  Rina's voice didn't waver as she spoke.

She moved away from the tree and instantly began to search for anything sharp enough to take her own life.

"You can't take your own life for now, not after you agreed to this mission… you'd just be wasting your time. Besides, whenever you try that, you're gonna be prolonging the duration of your mission as punishment for attempting that."

Rina couldn't believe her ears. She stopped walking and reluctantly returned back to the tree she had been leaning against.

"Every clause included in this sick deal is ridiculously strict. The gods involved in drawing out this entire thing are ridiculous as well." She finally sighed out in complete frustration at the entire situation.

"Careful." The voice called out but Rina only scoffed.

"How the hell am I supposed to work with her?" She ended up asking the voice after a little while.

"Just do it." The voice responded and this time, Rina rolled her eyes, because she was certain it wasn't gonna be as easy as it sounded.

~~~
     As Rina walked through the forest, her face was fixed in a frown as she approached the spot she had met the girl who looked so much like Sara.
She briefly wondered about what her new name might be as she got to the spot she previously saw her at. She pulled the large leaf aside and just like before, she was in the same spot, but she was no longer crouched, and was instead leaning against a heap of rock.
Their eyes locked almost immediately and so many emotions ran through Rina's mind at once, and her eyes automatically settled on the top of the large wings protruding from above her shoulders.
She felt herself scoffing at the absurdity of this entire situation just as the green eyed girl eyed her like she was nothing but dirt.
"What's so funny?" She snapped, mouth thinned and Rina found herself rolling her eyes.
"The fact that you became a fairy, that's extremely hilarious. You were literally a green snake under the grass, how the heck did that happen? Did you fuck your way to becoming a fairy? Huh? Gave the gods some head before that happened? Was that how you did it?"
Rina watched as the girl's face flushed a little before she rose to her feet, annoyance pouring off her in waves.
"Mind your fucking business." She spat at a laughing Rina who rolled her eyes once again as she stepped closer to the fuming girl whose face crept her out.
"Or what? You gonna shoot me again this time? Huh?" As Rina spoke, she reached out and grasped the girl's throat before she could respond, completely cutting off her ability to breathe.
"Go ahead then, fucking shoot me."
