Chapter 2: Sunari is awakened

Above the world of sunari in the upper atmosphere stood two people, They stood in the atmosphere like standing on an even pane of glass. They seem to be a Middle aged man with a strong presence and vitality and a young woman.

The young woman stood slightly behind the older man and they were both staring at the planet below them inspecting it carefully.

They both wore White inner robes and black outer robes over them with no other accessories. The robes were made of a very fine fabric and did not appear to be made of cheap materials, The outer black robes sparkled periodically as if they were adorned with diamonds and it was even more pronounced in the robe of the older man who stood like a mirror to another part of a solar system.

After a few minutes of inspecting the planet the older gentlemen nodded in approval and turned to the woman behind him and asked, "Disciple bai what do you think of this seedling"

Disciple bai cupped her fists and slightly bowed before answering "The environment is large and balanced, the knowledge of martial arts is lacking but that's understandable given the amount of energy present, The inhabitants intelligence is not low and with some development would made a good subordinate civilization for the young mistress."

The older man is master xu and is the third elder of a powerful sect in the immortal cultivation world, He traveled with his disciple through the universe searching for habitable or valuable worlds. The purpose was to gift it to the young mistress of the sect master who recently turned 4 years old and presented a top tier cultivation talent.

If the master of the third peak subjugated a world that was very beautiful or rich with spirit materials and gifted it to the young miss he could form a connection to the future sect master of the sect. Of course the other peak masters thought of the same thing even before she was born and since the sect masters wife was pregnant exquisite gifts and artifacts were given on every occasion.

Precious things don't have much impact within a sect of their size and to stand out from the others this elder decided to cultivate a personal world for the young miss. Worlds are not rare in the universe but worlds full of precious materials or with sentient life and a habitable space are extremally few and far between.

This will bring immense benefits to the young mistress when she grown up and bring a constant stream of resources and also will be something tangible she will use for a long period of time reminding her that this was a gift from the third elder. The opinion of the local inhabitants did not matter as the weak are meant to be conquered and as the locals don't have a voice in the cultivation world they can do anything without damaging their reputation as a righteous sect.

Master xu nodded in approval but still had his own thoughts regarding this world, He then reached into his sleeve and pulled out a large rough and clear crystal covered with engravings. The disciple behind him seemed surprised that her master just pulled this artifact out but did not question her master as it may be seen as disrespectful.

Her master saw through his disciple and decided to explain, "while this is a good planet to develop if we do it the normal way it would still be very ordinary after a long time and the young miss is growing very fast. If I use this artifact that will awaken the core of this planet and stimulate its potential by drawing chaotic energy from the universe it will begin to produce spirit energy on its own after a period of time. This will make this world far more valuable in the long term."

The disciple of course already knew the identity of this powerful artifact as it was used to awaken barren planets that had the potential to produce resources and using it on a planet with sentient life is considered extremely evil as it would cause mass genocide and chaos. And while it is unavoidable to shed innocent blood sometimes in the world of cultivation shedding a lot of blood for ones own benefit is the behavior of demonic sects.

The master sensed the doubts in his disciples heart but decided to ignore her for now, he has done many things in his long life and that's just how things become after fighting or a long time and she would naturally learn this over time.

The master let go of the artifact and with a push of his palm the crystal accelerated towards the planet. The crystal broke through the atmosphere and created an arc of blue fire which continuously increased in speed towards the ground.

The crystal landed in a desert causing a massive explosion and leaving a large crater of glass, no one was around to see this but some research detected the seismic impact and thought a meteorite had landed. Some scientist set out to take samples of the materials for analysis and others who are very interested in outer space set off to collect or sell traveled towards the crash site.

No one knew that at this moment an artifact was burrowing towards the planets core that will destroy their civilization and change their planet forever.

Disciple bai looked towards her master and asked "Master although the world will produce spirit energy and become much more precious it will be very chaotic for a period of time and later we will have to comb it for unknown dangers before presenting it to the young miss, furthermore if other elders or sects discover the world before we fully take it over they may try to snatch it from us. We of course have the confidence to fight them off but the delays it would cause and other unwanted problems and complications."

Master xu was very bold but he was also sufficiently prepared, he did not answer his disciples question but again reached into his sleeve and pulled out a thick stack of talismans. He formed a few hand signs and threw out the talismans witch quickly surrounded the world forming a formation. After a few moment the world changed in appearance to that of one that was destroyed with an exposed core. Planets with this appearance cannot be recovered and even if spirit energy is present there will be no benefits to be found.

Master xu turned to his disciple and said "Lets go search for other worlds for now, if we find another one it could be a backup for this one in case problems arise and others will be suspicious if we stop searching but returns empty handed so early."

The master and disciple pair quickly left the world and continued to travel the universe at an extremally fast speed. They left behind a world that appeared to be destroyed and that may be its fate in a few years or it had the potential to become something great.
