The tension in the room was palpable. One could cut a chink out of it. The queens let the bad blood flow, as they exchanged their hateful stares.

Alpha Charles poured himself a drink to distract himself from the mayhem about to break loose at the dinner table. The sound of the drink pouring was the only sound that was heard for a couple of moments.

It was an awfully uncomfortable position for the queens as they all had a lot of things to say, but no one would dare to say a word to the alpha, as he seemed to be in no mood to take any negative comments from anyone.

"What's going on here?" Queen Maya, being the most livid of them all, asked with her eyes fixed on Alpha Charles. "So, this is what you have been up to all this while? All the while I've been-"
