TALE OF LUNA'S BIRTH- 1

In the ancient room where Theodora was caged by her father, Bertha checked the other woman's forehead as worry itched her face.

"What is happening, Bertha? What did you do to my daughter?" Cordelia's words made Bertha flinch.

Zerith curled his fists tightly but remained silent.

"I... I haven't done anything, Lady Cordelia." She answered in a small voice.

"Then how did you not realise that Theodora is burning in fever?" Cordelia thundered, glaring at the maid.

Not giving her a chance to explain, Cordelia continued, "Where did you go so early in the morning." Casting a condescending glare in Zerith's way, she said. "What kind of a friend are you, Bertha?

Theodora is carrying a baby in her womb and is having such a high fever and what were you doing? Enjoying your time with your fiancee?"
