INTO A DEEP TROUBLE

Gerald groaned loudly, feeling like all the air in his body was sucked out of it. The weight on his chest was heavy and made it hard for him to breathe.

He coughed, his eyes watering but holding onto Theodora protectively. She gasped before her eyes flew open to see the impact she felt didn't come from crashing down on the rough land but on the wall of muscles.

She immediately scurried away from Gerald before helping him to sit up.

"Oh God! Are you okay, Gerald? I am so sorry!" She hurried before his coughs died.

He showed her his palm, telling her that he was fine. After a minute, when his coughing ended, he blinked his eyes to clear his vision.

"Are you hurt, Theodora?" He asked in concern.

She shook her head before running her hand on his face. "No, you held me right!"
