Level up to gain more abilities. As Elian rises to fame and success, he must confront the darkness within himself and the true nature of the Awakening System trying to consume his humanity. Will he find a way to balance his ambition with his humanity, or will the darkness of the system consume him completely? *it’s my very first system novel since I’m not a fan of systems. you should know before you start reading that the system is very realistic and the MC would struggle with it a lot. oh and, it contains a little sci-fi. just a tiny bit, it doesn’t affect the main story. There will be romance too, like, the MC would get a life besides football.

The Ghost In The Ring

In the wake of tragedy, Jack Hayes struggles to cope with the devastating loss of his younger brother, Ethan "The Viper" Hayes, who dies in a brutal MMA fight against the reigning state champion, Rico "The Beast" Martinez. While the match is ruled an accident, Jack is haunted by the belief that foul play led to Ethan's untimely death. Consumed by grief and anger, he grapples with feelings of helplessness and guilt. In his search for closure, Jack decides to enter the world of MMA—not for revenge, but to find peace and honor Ethan's memory. Under the mentorship of Lena, a seasoned fighter with her own troubled past, Jack begins a grueling training regimen that tests his physical and mental limits. As he fights through local circuits, he discovers the camaraderie and resilience of fellow fighters, all of whom share their own struggles and stories of loss. As Jack rises through the ranks, he adopts the persona of "The Ghost," channeling his brother's spirit and seeking to transform his pain into strength. But as he gains recognition, the specter of Rico looms larger, culminating in a high-stakes tournament that could earn Jack the chance to face the man he holds responsible for Ethan’s death. In the climactic battle, Jack confronts not just Rico, but the internal demons that have plagued him since the tragedy. As he fights for redemption, he learns that true strength lies in embracing the past and that finding peace is a journey, not a destination. "The Ghost of the Ring" is a powerful tale of grief, resilience, and the transformative power of sport, exploring the delicate balance between revenge and healing in the unforgiving world of mixed martial arts.

Shamesless author here!! Here's my biased review ;-) Running Rings is a masterfully crafted sports novel that takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster, tracing the incredible journey of Rohan Singh from a small Indian village to the Olympic stage. The novel brilliantly captures the essence of perseverance and the sheer grit it takes to rise above life's harshest challenges. What sets Running Rings apart is its deep character development and authentic portrayal of Rohan’s struggles, both on and off the track. The author intricately weaves Rohan's internal battles with self-doubt, grief, and societal pressure into the broader narrative of his relentless pursuit of excellence. The intense rivalry with Arjun adds another layer of tension and excitement, keeping readers hooked from start to finish. The novel’s pacing is spot-on, with each chapter bringing new twists, victories, and setbacks that mirror the unpredictable nature of life itself. The emotional depth, combined with the thrilling sports sequences, makes Running Rings a compelling read not just for sports enthusiasts but for anyone who loves a good underdog story. Running Rings is more than just a sports novel; it’s a universal story of hope, resilience, and the enduring human spirit. It’s a must-read that will leave readers inspired and deeply moved.

Came here after visiting the author's other novel 'Building adult industry in fantasy world'. The chapter update frequency of 5chap/day looks pretty good. lets hope the author keeps up. Based on what I've read so far it seems like a classic story of boy from the boonies making it big to the olympic stage. The question how is what I'm looking forward to. Not having a system seems to make it feel make realistic.
