Chapter 22:- Supernatural Undead

"How about we take shelter in that 15-story building?" Aditya and the others were busy discussing where they should spend the night. Freya suddenly noticed something weird. She turned back. She was able to see a giant shadow hovering above their heads.

'What was that?' Freya tightly gripped the sword in her hand as she looked at the sky which was covered with black clouds.

Freya became cautious. In this chaotic world, danger can come at any time and from anywhere. If she was careless and let her guard down even for one minute, she could die. The current Freya is not strong enough to relax and let her guard down.

It was already later evening. Normally by now, the sky would be getting darker with each passing second. Adding the dark clouds and the heavy rain on top of that, it was very dark. Almost as if the night had come even though there are still an hour left before the sunset.

If it was normal humans then there is no way they can see anything in this darkness. It was difficult for them to see anything beyond 5 meters. However, Freya was able to see things much more clearly. Just like Selene, Freya can see in the darkness.

Freya waited while tightly holding her sword. She ignored the conversation that Ruoxi, Aditya, and Selene were having. Her eyes never left the sky.

After what felt like one minute or two had passed, Freya finally saw something. This time she was able to see it more clearly. As the being in the sky flew toward Freya and others, the Goddess was able to see its large, almost gigantic long wings.

"It's a vulture" Hearing Freya's shout, Aditya and others turned their heads. Aditya and Selene were instantly able to see the gigantic overgrown bird that was hovering over their heads.

"This is a level 29 mutant vulture." Selene and Freya were able to sense the current power level of the vulture.

Aditya found it difficult to even keep staring at the mutant vulture as the 10 meters giant bird moved at a frightening speed. Seeing the red-eyed vulture staring at Freya, Aditya knew who was going to be the prey here.

"Tank!!!"

Seeing Aditya, Selene and Freya panicking and looking at the sky, others panicked fearing the unknown danger that lurked above them. Ruoxi also frowned. She did not show any trace of fear in her eyes. She got ready to use her ice control. After killing more than hundreds of zombies Ruoxi had reached level 7.

Aditya's second undead's entire body was lit up with fire. The rain did not seem to affect the flame that was currently covering his entire body. Just as the mutant vulture kept on closing the distance and was only 30 meters away from Freya, Tank suddenly jumped right in front of her and sent out a powerful punch.

The whole day which was consumed in darkness lit up. Everyone stared at Tank in a mix of fear, astonishment, and amazement seeing a 2 meters giant fist that was entirely made up of flame heading in the direction of the mutant vulture.

Just before the flame fist could hit the mutant vulture that was over 10 meters big, even bigger than Tank himself. The mutant bird changed its flight path at the very last moment shocking everyone. The mutant bird now suddenly changed its target and looked at Ruoxi who was standing beside Aditya.

"Tank cannot compare against vulture. Flying-type mutant animals are known for their terrifying speed. While the mutant vulture's defense wasn't that strong but their agility was very high. Just like Tank who accel in strength, mutant vultures accel in agility. Their agility was so high that even a level 35 evolver wouldn't possibly be able to match the speed of the vulture."

This time, Aditya reacted as fast as he could and manipulated the shadow. Just when the vulture was only 10 meters away from Ruoxi, hundreds of black tentacles rose from the ground and headed toward the vulture.

Seeing the shadow tentacles, the vulture once again had no choice but to change its flight path. This time the vulture felt a little anger. It had failed in hunting its prey two times. It can sense that these humans were very weak. Knowing its prey's strength, the vulture did not leave. It was determined to hunt at least one of the humans so that it can have fresh food.

Vultures did not like eating rotten meat. Their first line of defense is to avoid eating rotten meat. Vultures prefer recently killed carcasses. They will happily chow down on two or three-day-old carrion, but once it really starts to rot, they avoid it.

Selene already believed in Aditya and was ready to do whatever he asked. After staying with him, for 2 days she now fully believed that this young mortal's plan will save them.

"Get to the point. We don't have time." Freya anxiously shouted back as she kept her eyes on the vulture. She felt if she was distracted even for a second, she could lose her life here.

"I need both of you to lend your powers to Tank." Hearing Aditya's words, both Selene and Freya froze. As Goddesses, both Selene and Freya had their pride even though they had lost their powers. Even back in the day, it was a commonly known fact that no God or goddess ever blessed any undead. This is why Selene and Freya never thought of blessing Aditya's undeads.

But if they keep hesitating with their pride in the way, they will end up dying. Meanwhile, the vulture once again flew back to the sky.

Selene and Freya both hesitated for a few seconds before their bodies started glowing in bright white light. The light radiating from their bodies was so strong that even from 1000 meters, it was possible for the zombies and other mutant animals to see it.

"What is this light?"

"I can't see anything."

Everyone had to close their eyes because of the intense bright white light. Even the vulture had stopped instinctively.

The sudden boost in Tank's stats, made the vulture finally stop. The vulture could keep the Aura of this strange black skeleton rising and getting stronger.

Meanwhile, everyone including Aditya, Selene, and Freya was beyond shocked looking at Tank. Even though Tank was still at level 21. Its powers had risen to a new level. The blessing from the goddess also caused some changes to take place in Tank's body.

This change is what shocked even the two goddesses and the master of the undead. For a moment no one moved, and no one said anything. It was complete silence. Everyone stared at Tank in a mix of disbelief and shock. The ordinary people felt as if they were witnessing a miracle.

The black skeleton of Tank's body was getting covered with muscles. Right now Tank's entire body was glowing in a deep purple color. His skeleton body was getting covered by black flesh and nerves.

[Ding! Being blessed by two goddesses has evolved undead Tank into supernatural undead.]

Roar!!!

Just as the evolution of Tank stopped as the deep purple light left its body, Tank looked at the vulture and roared while beating its chest. At this moment, everyone felt as if the emotionless undead of Aditya had returned back to life.

Tank's skeleton was covered by black flesh. Its eyes were glowing red. There wasn't any hair on Tank's body. The current Tank looked even more frightening than his previous version.

Under everyone's shocked gaze, Tank suddenly disappeared as the concrete ground on which Tank was standing cracked. The next second, everyone heard a painful cry. When they looked at the vulture, everyone was terrified to see Tank ripping off one of the vulture's wings before throwing a punch on its back which instantly made it crush on the concrete ground.

Bang!!!!

Tank then landed on the ground with a loud sound. The undead then walked up to the vulture. Without any hesitation, the furious monkey crushed the skull of the vulture.

Aditya closed his eyes feeling the rise in his powers and in his mana.

"Is it over?" Ruoxi hesitantly asked while looking at the vulture that did not move anymore.

Aditya took a deep breath trying to calm his wildly beating heart. "Yes, the mutant vulture is dead." Even Aditya was having some doubts. If he had not seen the messages from the system, then he would have thought that the vulture was still alive. To think the mutant animals that nearly killed them were now lying dead in front of them.

"It looks like you and your undead have leveled up again." Selene sighed. She and Freya naturally had felt the changes in undead Tank. It seems Tank has now evolved and become Supernatural undead. Even both goddesses had no idea what Supernatural undead was. From the name, it was clear that the Tank now wasn't some ordinary zombie.
