White Leaf Town

25th of April, 11 am

Alex woke up while yawning, got up and stretched for a while this is his normal morning routine. He then checks the time 12:05 am"hm about 2 hours till launch and I still have to eat something and get some food for tomorrow as I will probably be alone" So after dressing he took a bus to the city center, bought ingredients for a simple meal and ate fastfoot. Even though his parents always tried to keep him on a healthy diet, eating fast food every once in a while is fine for them.

After coming back home he checks the time again 13:45 am "oh so late already I have to hurry a bit" 5 minutes later and he is sending a message to Fraquick nk wishing him good luck as well as telling him that they can talk again once launch day is over.

Then he grabs his Gaming Helmet and lays down on his bed putting it on and patiently waiting for 2pm. He thinks to himself while pressing the start button"Here I come God's Domain let's see what you have to offer"

Right after he pressed start it felt like he was flying through a tunnel composed of all kinds of colors as walls, a second later he arrived at a solemn golden temple and saw a mini female angel with four wings flying towards him.

"Greetings Adventurer, welcome to God's Domain. I am the Navigation Angel, Gabriel. I will be introducing to you the four main categories and twelve main classes. Please choose the class that you would like to play as."

With a wave of her small hand, an illustration introducing the twelve main classes appeared in front of Alex.

These twelve classes were categorized into four main types.

Warriors: Shield Warrior, Guardian Warrior, Berserker

Weapon Specialists: Swordsman, Assassin, Ranger

Healers: Cleric, Druid, Oracle

Mages: Elementalist, Summoner,Cursemancer

From the illustration Alex found out that warriors specialized in defending against monsters; weapons specialists focused on physical damage output; healers focused on healing; mages focused on magical damage output. Which meant that each class would offer a different experience.

"So what do I want to play, healers are out. I admit they are very important but not my style. No warrior as well Frank said he wants to play one, so that leaves mages and weapon specialists. While weapon specialists sound cool we have swords in the real world so a mage it is. I want to cast real magic not let my magical summons fight for me so no Summoner and between Elementalist and Cursemancer I'd rather be an Elementalist" So after silently thinking for about 3 minutes he chose Elementalist.

"Class selection complete. Please designate a name for your character."

He had already thought about it and chose the one he has used since he started gaming

"Nightmare"

"Naming successful. Do you wish to adjust your appearance? Adjustment rate is limited to 15%."

After thinking about it he chose 5% as he doesn't really care about people being able to find out his identity but why not change a bit when you can.

"Please select a birthplace in the Twin Tower Kingdom."

This is another thing that makes God's Domain different as its opening is globally synchronized. To accommodate for the hundreds of millions of players, the lands of God's Domain were incredibly vast, measuring up to two or three times of Earth, and the kingdoms within were even more plentiful. However, a player's living area and city, in reality, determines the country they would start in, so players can only choose the cities within the country. In the case of Germany and some of its neighbors they can choose villages near the cities of the Twin Tower Kingdom.

A map that displayed tens of cities belonging to the Twin Tower Kingdom appeared in front of Alex.

Alex chose Snow Field City as it's the 3rd ranked city of the Kingdom, so there will be plenty of resources but at most there would be a 1st rate Guild developing there and if he ever wants to join a guild there should be some promising one's.

"City confirmed. Player will arrive in White Leaf Town nearby Snow Field City in three seconds. We wish you happy gaming."

Immediately Alex's sight blurred as he was teleported to the Town.

White Leaf Town, looked exactly as you would imagine a medieval town, the buildings seem to be placed chaotically or at least Alex couldn't make sense of the arrangement. Right now Alex was standing in front of a church wearing nothing but gray Novice Robes that looked like they had been worn for quite some time, strapped on his back was a simple wooden Wand. He could hear people moving all around him as well as excited chatter. None of it mattered to Alex as the first thing he did was close his eyes and breath deeply, everything felt like he was in the real world. It was astonishing and he needed some time to adjust. Opening his eyes while breathing out his only thought was "wow".

Now looking around he could see many people on a big plaza going around talking to npcs probably trying to find quests but some of them looked like they were as thrown off by the realness of God's Domain as he was and were just wandering around. Lastly a bunch of players were heading towards the gates of the town to enter the wilderness.

Alex had something different in mind and with a slight wave of his hand and touch of his finger, his Attribute Panel appeared before him:

Inside his bag, there were ten pieces of Bread and ten pouches of Water. Eating the Bread would recover 10 HP per second while drinking Water would recover 10 MP per second, and both effects lasted ten seconds.

Every Elementalist started with the same Attributes, the only difference being the allocation of the Free Attribute Points.

Each player could obtain 4 Free Attribute Points with each increase in Level. With each rise in Level, the different ways players used these points would result in their own unique style.Strength increases Physical Attack Power and the weight behind each attack. Agility increases Attack Speed and Movement Speed. Endurance increases maximum HP and stamina. Intelligence increases Magical Attack Power and maximum MP and Vitality increases the recovery rate of MP and HP. Every Class has a different main the mages one obviously being intelligence.

After thinking about it for a while Alex chose to add 2 points to both agility as well as intelligence because he would be playing solo, being fast was always good and who doesn't want to deal more damage.

Now ready to go wanted to try and kill some monsters but first he needed some kind of quest to go along with it as it would be a waste not to have one.

As he was walking through the streets he saw a tailor shop and instantly knew this was the perfect opportunity because from what he overheard from other players' conversations outside of the town all kinds of wolves spawn which sometimes drop their hide.

As he entered the shop saw some players already come out with happy expressions which pretty much confirmed that there was a quest available inside. Once inside he saw a middle aged man behind a workbench with some kind of hide in hand as soon as the man saw him he asked "oh another adventurer do you need anything"

Alex smiled and answers "no sir I was wondering if you are in need of wolf hides"

Sitting down the man says "oh yes i'm always in need of new hides it would be great if u can get me some I will reward you based on the quality"

System: Quest "gather wolf hides" accepted.

Quest Details: Gather wolf hides and bring them back to tailor Markus

Now that he had a quest he left the shop and ran towards the town gates once outside of the town he saw hoards of players trying to kill level 0 pigs, a little further back and towards the forest some players were hunting level 1 baby wolves he quickly went towards them.

[Baby Wolf] (Common monster)

Level 1

HP 50

These were his targets for now so he looked for one about 5 meters away, held his wand in front of him and called out " Ice Arrow " and about 1 second later a short Ice arrow formed in front of his wand and flew towards the wolf hitting it

-21

The wolf howled in pain and looked for his attacker and after spotting Alex started to sprint towards him but he hurriedly cast more.

-21

the wolf was 3 meters away he shoot and missed

2 meters away

And after casting one last Ice Arrow the wolf fell to the ground dead just one meter away from Alex.

System: Level 1 Baby Wolf killed. Level differences 1. Exp obtained increased by 100%. Obtained 12 EXP.

Alex EXP bar increased to a little more than 1% that meant he needed 1000 EXP for level one he also gained 2 Proficiency for Ice Arrow at the moment he didn't really know though what the chances were or if it increased after a certain amount of casts but he was sure somebody will post it to the forum.

Alex went on to kill 8 more Baby Wolves gaining 120 EXP and 11 Proficiency. He also gained 3 Baby Wolf hides

Now that he was comfortable killing them he thought about moving near the forest where he could see level 2 and 3 young wolves and even some genuine level 4 wolves. Right now he was still at 76 MP as it took him roughly 7 minutes and he is regenerating 3 MP per minute.

Hunting the Level 2 and 3 wolves was a bit more difficult as it took some time to find an isolated wolf and them having 75 and 100 health respectively he also was not ready to hunt multiple because when he tried one wolf got near him and bit him dealing 23 damage, he had to run for his life only having 75 HP. But these wolves gave him very good EXP giving 27 and 48. In half an hour he killed 10 level 2 ones and 7 on level 3.

As a result his EXP bar was now at around 3/4 and his Proficiency at 78 he also gained 4 hides from the level 2 wolves and 3 from the level 3 ones but he had to consume one water. He almost found this method of hunting too easy because as long as he was aware of his surroundings he couldn't be killed or even hit but this is probably the early game advantage of ranged classes.

Now he wanted to try and explore the forest feeling ready to even kill a level 4 wolf from a distance.

Will he regret his confidence? Only one way to find out
