Chapter Six

The next day Rose did not go to the library. It was the king's training day, and I was to join him there. When I got up and had breakfast I met up with the king who lead me to the depths of the castle, where the training rooms for the royalty were located.

The tunnels down there were made of old stone, but had runes all over it from powerful enchantments. It was cold here, and I shivered in my thin summer outfit. I wore white flats and white pants with a red tank top with a white flower on it. I hadn't realized it would be cold and so I had dressed for movement. The king laughed at me and increased his pace until I was chasing after him. Afterwards I was panting heavily but I was warm. I will never ever show that I am cold in front of him again!

I stood focusing the Mana around me while he warmed up. He said he was warming up so he could train after I gave up- I mean finished. I felt like he was going to bully me until I stopped trying to do magic.

"Alright, cast something other then water. No this isn't to bully you I just need to know if you are a double or not." Liar, the grin on your face says you want to bully me! This was your plan all along wasn't it! I'm going to tell mom! No in going to tell your wife! Hehehehe!

"O' whirling inferno come!" I chanted and the fire erupted from all around me. Ok... HELP I CAN'T STOP IT! I'M GONNA BURN MYSELF ALIVE!

"Holy... Rose stop the fire now if you can." My mind started to go hazy, and I couldn't tell if it was from the heat, or the shock of being a double. I fell to my knees. S-shut up I know that's not much of a height distance stop being mean! I place my hands in front of me to steady myself but then I fell sideways. I lay on my side and couldn't move, my mind was far to hazy.

"Rose I'm going to put the fire out just stay there!" I heard him yell, and then water poured from above dousing the fire, or well it should have been able to douse the fire. The fire continued to roar despite the water, almost feeding on it like it did my Mana. I heard him curse loudly before wind suddenly started to hit the fire, and knocked me through it. I didn't get burned surprisingly and I lay on the floor outside of the ring exhaustedly. The last thing I remember was seeing shoes running towards me and wondering how they were moving.

I stirred in my deep sleep and felt cold hands on my blistering hot head and heard people whispering.

"I can't believe she can use magic! Let alone be a double, or use a high tier magic even if she lost control of it!" I heard a voice say, and it took me a moment to recognize it. The Queen was here... But why? My muddled brain couldn't comprehend it.

"My daughter is amazing but, if her fever doesn't break..." My mom's voice was ragged with worry, and I couldn't figure out why in my current state. What's going on what happened? I used fire but why does it matter? It can't have been a high tier I invoked right~?

"I'm sorry, I didn't expect her to try a spell like that, even I cannot control something like that. The fact that her Mana held out that long when she is just three! Plus in my defense I didn't even think it was possible to trigger that spell at her age!" The king's voice whined out like a spoiled child and I felt the air drop a couple of degrees and the Queen spoke.

"Apologizing will not heal her, now go do something for the country before you manage to kill her this time!" I heard the king rush out several secondss later and the door close with a CLICK! My mother sighed heavily and the hands on my blistering face disappeared.

"He doesn't think does he?" My mother whispered lowly and the Queen clicked her tongue in agreement. I drifted asleep again after that.

The next time I awoke I was lying in my own bed, and light was shining through the window. I felt fine and could sit up easily, I could tell my Mana had risen up even higher then it was before and I felt like I could control it better too. I slowly climbed out of the large bed. It was only a queen sized bed, but it was giant to a three-year-old almost four-year-old. It had already been in here when me and my mom had been given joint rooms and we just never asked for it to be changed. In all honesty my room looked like a child's dream. I had a doll house in a corner and plenty of dresses and clothes in a walk in closet. I had soooo many toys but my favorite was the beautiful desk that sat under a large window. I had a book case too stocked with reference books and story books. I didn't read the story books but I did appreciate the gesture.

I got dressed quickly before knocking o the door that joined me and my mom's room together. There wasn't a reply so I assumed she had gone to work already. I walked slowly towards the medical wing on the route she always takes when halfway I ran into the first prince.

"You should be resting what are you doing?!" He instantly snapped at me and I sighed heavily. His face was worried and he seemed to actually care, but I suspected he was worried he would get in trouble for seeing me and not stopping me.

"I'm fine, your highness." I reply easily but in all honesty I wanted to snap at him, but ettiquete dictated me not to.

"I don't believe you, you've been unconscious for three days! Everyone's been worried, so your going to rest!" And then he dragged me into his play room by my wrist, and forced me to lay on the couch. He then grabbed the blanket on the back of the couch and draped it on top of me.

"Sleep here, so you don't wander off again." He proceeded to drag a chair over and was reading. I fell asleep again soon after that despite my resistance to doing so. I guess I was still tired.
