Chapter Nineteen

When I returned to my office the very next day, it had been cleaned and restocked with my supplies. The doors and windows had been enchanted with powerful unbreakable charms and spells to stop lock picking. I appreciated the work done, and sat down to prepare to write my report on the incident that had happened the day before. I used the only salvageable pen to do so, figuring it would be only right to use the sole survivor for he report. When I finished the report, I opened the door, not forgetting to lock it on my way out, and headed to deliver it to the knight captains.

When I arrived there I found the two captains sparring in the training grounds together. Both we're dripping with sweat and we're incredibly handsome, ehm, no that it matters. They had both enlisted at age eleven and had become the youngest captains in out country in a few centuries. They both were both were fifteen now, so they were both nine years older than me. I had meet them when they used to guard the library, before they were promoted, and they both watched out for me like a younger sister. I waited until one of them lost before heading over with the report under my right arm, and in my left I carried two towels so they could dry the sweat that gleamed off there bare muscular chests.

"Good match." They both jumped and turned around to see me, and I offered both of them towels. They both took them and laughed when they saw the papers under my arm. It was hot today and I felt a little woozy, my brain was slightly fuzzy.

"Already finished the report? And two copies too. Reliable as always!" They grinned as I lightly laughed and casted a cooling spell on the three of us. It helped clear my mind somewhat, but very little. Perhaps my stress has accumulated too much?

"How are you two doing anyways? I didn't get to ask yesterday, but since you are training there must not have been much to do?" They looked at each other and sighed.

"Superior officers and the King took over the investigation, we're pretty much out of it now." I sighed, my goal of information had failed. My legs felt weak and my brain only got fuzzier.

"Are you alright Rose?" Sparrow who had been quiet since I arrived suddenly spoke up, and I laughed weakly.

"No, I think I will head to the infirmary after this, something must be hitting me." I reply and started to move towards the castle, and fell. My vision rapidly faded, but I knew I hadn't hit the ground, one of them must have caught me... I no longer was able to stay conscious and fell deep, deep into a sleep.
