Class Dismissed

The bell rung indicating the end of a period. "Okay class that's all for today, read chapter 3 and answer the activity on page 69, to be submitted on Thursday", the professor said in haste. Everyone was also rushing out of the room, while the slowpoke me was the last to exit. I turned to the corner where the stairs are at but hesitated when I saw that the lights were out. I walked down to the first floor to head out to the comfort room. Before I could get in, I noticed the "exit" sign above flickering intensely, "why is no one around? creepy...". While inside the stall, my body jolted when I heard the one next to me flush because I didn't hear anyone go in. I got out cautiously and checked the one next to me, it was locked, it had a maintenance sign on the door. When I felt goosebumps on my skin, I practically ran outside. On my way out I accidentally bumped on someone. "Oh hey, why are you running?" she asked, to which I replied "nothing". She looked at me and then to the comfort room, "this cr is under maintenance, no one is allowed to go in here" she stated as she pointed at the sign on the door. "Well anyway we're having lunch, do you wanna join us?" she asked, "no thank you, I have plans" I answered immediately while walking away. "The sign wasn't there earlier" I murmured while heading towards the nearest exit.
