Tutoring

Ron going to the Greengrass's had become a touchy subject in the family, due to most of his family having been bullied or mocked by Purebloods.

This led to Ron having a very awkward talk with his mother before he went for the first time. She carefully explained to him, that he should be wary of Aster and Daphne until he was sure they were good people. Though by the tone of her voice and wording she didn't think they were.

What Ron found funny, was the fact that he was the one that wanted to use Aster, for his wealth and connections. That was due to all of the influence the Purebloods had over the Wizarding World, their support was something he needed to rise to greater heights. Once he did reach said heights, he'd have no need for them and could easily discard them.

"Don't worry mom it'll be fine. No one will ever make me do something that I don't want to do."

"How did reading all the time also make you such a good talker?"

"Hehehe, I should get going."

Saying goodbye Ron entered the chimney with a handful of Floo Powder and stated his destination.

"Greengrass Manor!"

As he was being engulfed in the green flames he smiled at his still nervous mother.

-

The lavishness of the Greengrass's home was still the same even when no event was being held. Stepping out of their white marbled chimney Ron bowed to the man and girl in front on him.

"Lord Greengrass, it's an honor to see you again, I'm thankful for this opportunity. Lady Greengrass, as always it's my good fortune to lay eyes on you."

Aster didn't say anything only nodding but his eyes were focused on Ron, trying to find what made him tick.

"Welcome Ronald, I'd of liked for you to meet my sister but she wasn't feeling well today."

"Another day perhaps, if your father doesn't mind of course."

Trying to get the man to speak, Ron threw him a quick question. Which garnered a smirk from Aster who answered his question.

"That will depend on your performance as my daughter's tutor, Mr. Weasley. I wouldn't want her to waste her time with someone, Useless."

"*You got my attention kid, now how will you answer?*"

Daphne knew what her father was doing, he was testing Ron. She'd seen him do the exact same thing to different people, to see how they'd respond. She wanted to warn Ron of the trap her father had set up but it wasn't her place to question him, so she closed her eyes and kept her mouth closed.

Ron didn't respond right away,

as he thought about the implications of his reply. Aster didn't seem bothered by him not responding as it even looked like he enjoyed watching him trying to discern his mind trick.

"*Crafty old man, you want me to retort back to you or promise success. If I go with the first you'll mark me up as emotional, easy malleable, and unworthy, if I choose the the second I'll be labeled over eagerness, and untrustworthy. Since I'm without a wand at the moment and I haven't mastered Occlumency, I'll lay low for now...*"

"I'll take note of that, Sir."

Aster's face remained unchanged hearing the boy's response, yet Ron was sure that he wasn't expecting that kind of answer. Excusing himself Aster left leaving Ron and Daphne in the grand foyer, and only after her father left did she speak.

"Um, let me show to our laboratory, it's a bit antiquated but it has alot of neat things."

Ron nodded and followed the girl but shot a quick glance at the retreating Aster, with a smug smirk on his face.

"*I'm not so easily manipulated old man, you believe your self to be miles ahead of everyone else, but to me you're just a frog in a well. So just sit back and look up as I fly above you."

Daphne's tutoring went smoothly because she did exactly what Ron told her when he told her, and Potions being a very meticulous subject demanded that of people. The most challenging part was her inability to memorize the correct ingredients for more difficult Potions, which intrigued Ron because he was able to do so quite easily. To the point that he thought if all his research and practice was the cause or if or if he had more innate talent than he thought.

"*This is an interesting discovery, I'll be sure to test it out.*"

After the first day's lessons came to an end Daphne escorted Ron back to their foyer. She asked a house elf about her father's whereabouts and was told that he'd left to the Ministry hours ago. Hearing that he didn't even tell her, she couldn't help but hang her head low and meekly turn to Ron.

"I'm sorry Ron..."

"About what Daphne?"

Eventhought he knew that she meant the test her father had given him in the morning, he wanted her to say it. Like that he might get some sympathy points from her and when the time came he could ask a favor from her.

"About this morning what my father said to you, I hope that you can forgive him. He's not a bad guy, he's just..."

Placing his hand on her shoulder he gave her a warm smile and shook his head.

"It's fine Daphne, don't worry it's fine, besides we're friends right? You wouldn't treat me differently based on something my parents said, would you?"

"No, of course not!"

He chuckled at her flustered response before he waved goodbye at her and entered the elegant chimney.

He'd told his mom that his tutoring would take three extra hours, so he had some free time to go visit his lawyer.

"Atrium!"

-

Getting passed the guard at the lifts was a bit of a headache since he didn't have a registered wand but after fake crying the old man begrungely let him through.

"Thanks old man!"

"Next time don't get lost kid!"

He easily got outside and after putting on his disguise he called a black cab to take him to James's office.

-

Without no traffic he got there in thirty minutes and after paying the cab Ron headed inside. The fat receptionist didn't even notice him as he walked right past her and entered James's office.

Learning from their previous meetings he undid his hiding charm and cleared his throat to grab James's attention.

Clearly becoming more used to his sudden appearances the young man didn't get frightened this time.

"I came to pick up my 'Other' belongings."

James nodded and threw him a key to a storage unit that was located a hour away. Which cut into Ron's free time but he couldn't leave them with James forever and some quick cash wouldn't hurt him.

"And the rest of my money?"

"I should be able to get you 10k in two weeks, but I wouldn't recommend you taking out money every week or every other week for that matter. It might draw unwanted attention."

"Don't worry I'm not, in fact I'm probably going to need you to handle 100k more. Can you do it?"

"Hmm, how do you feel about becoming a realty investor?"

"Perfect, after the money's clean invest it in these company's, buy as much shares as you can."

Ron placed a note on James's desk before leaving, the young man now alone grabbed the piece of paper and read it.

"What's Microsoft?"
