Unlucky or Not

Interacting with Julia and Michelle gave Miles some new information about the other's system and his own.

First, awakeners could not share their character window with him. It must be because what he had was different from the system that the awakeners were using. He was a bit troubled by this because this might give off the fact that he does not have a system.

"I hope I can get the good stuff later…"

He went to bed at midnight.

The next morning came and Miles knocked on the ladies' door.

Michelle opened it with a smile.

"Good morning, Miles. Come in."

"Oh yeah, good morning."

Miles observed her and saw the dark lines under her eyes. It was puffy and a bit red like she cried for a long time.

'I guess they are still recovering from shock. Well, killing zombies for the first time is a distressing experience especially for these delicate ladies. I just hope that they get better.'

Miles walked in and Julia came out from the bathroom with clean clothes.

"Oh, good morning, Julia."

Miles looked at Julia and noticed that she was in a better state than Michelle.

'Seems like she is a bit tougher than her friend. That's good.'

"Let's eat first before we discuss what we will do today."

They took out the fruits that they found yesterday and ate. Miles decided to eat the foods that quickly rot and spoil.

The three of them finished their breakfast.

Miles took a deep breath and spoke. "You guys ready?"

The two nodded and held their weapons.

"Alright. Let's go."

They went down to the ground floor with ease.

From there, they could see the zombies gathering outside the building.

"There they are. I will move first. Make sure not get too far away from me."

Miles walked forward and whistled at the zombies. They turned and began jogging towards the trio.

'Come on, my points!' He was focused on the numbers in front of him.
