Chapter 4: Preparations

" You want revenge for the kid, right? Well, I'll give you your First mission as the new reaper." Strat was astonished at what he saw. But wondered if he should respond out loud or say it mentally. So, he opted to say it out loud just in case. " Yes, I want revenge for the kid. Those people got killed for nothing." Said Strat with a firm voice. " Very well. I'll give you the mission.

[Mission name: Revenge of the Dead]

[Objective: Kill all of the local gangs]

[Tme before it starts: 2 days]

[Reward: Unlocking System Functions & blueprints of your desire]

[Penalty: Death]

[Do you accept Y/N]

Yes! Said Strat with an excited voice.

" Alright since you accepted the mission, I'll tell you why you have to wait 2 days. The local gangs are having a conflict going on inside their groups. But all decided to come back to your location. You may ask why here. They want to establish it as a base. They have to bring everything over here so that's why I set it to start in 2 days. You have enough time to get ready."

" That's enough for me. But could you tell me your name?" Said Strat.

" No. You still don't have the authority to know it yet. The only info I can give is advice."

Strat was disappointed not knowing what Athen's subordinate name was. But he didn't let that get him down. " Let's not worry about those petty thoughts. Right now, it's time for me to chrome up." Said Strat with a smile on his face. He immediately went to get the materials to make the chrome and make a robot to protect the kid. Strat went around and looked for scrap metal. Luck was in his favor.

He found multiple piles of scraps of metal inside one of the buildings. After finding the place he immediately went towards the house where he found the baby and went to get the robot that took care of the infant then returned to the building he was in.

As soon as he arrived, he immediately went to work. First, he started with the robot. There wasn't much to change on the robot since the body of it was made of the strongest metal. But he put a voice system so it can speak, and a self-defense chip into it so it knows how to protect the kid. Then he proceeded to build his cybernetics. Due to him building a new body for himself, he lost all of the cybernetics that he had before.

He used the power that Athen gave him, but Strat modified it a little. Strat modified it so that If he puts any type of material in it. Then he could design whatever he wanted. He didn't know how much metal he needed so he put one pile worth of scrap metal into the module. Then he started to build immediately. He wanted to build the same blades he had in the past but deadlier.

The amount of metal it needed was astonishing. It barely even got through twenty percent of it. Strat slapped his face to focus back on his blades. After a few minutes of tinkering with his blades, they were ready. When he finished his desired blades, he went and commanded the module to attach to his forearms. Just like any other program, it did what Strat told it.

The module immediately grabbed Strat and smashed him on the table that had the scrap metals on it.

"Fucking hell I knew It was going to be rough but not to this extent. That shit hurts. Said Strat with a pain-filled voice.

After the module brought him to the table it immediately went and built tools to cut Strats forearms. After a little assembly, the module immediately went to work. It slowly went to cut through the skin. With each cut that went into Strat, he lost lots of blood but for him, it was worth it. After a few minutes of cutting the forearms, the module immediately went and took off the rest of his forearms.

Then installed the replacement forearms that had the blades that Strat designed. Strat was met with lots of intense pain during the process of installing the blades. A sigh of relief came out of Strat when the blades were fully installed. Strat immediately stood up and slowly came off the table to test his blades.

" Alright let's check if I can move my replacement forearm that holds my blades." Start immediately opened and closed his hands to see if he could move them.

Afterward, he tested if he could deploy his blades. To activate the blades, he has to push a button in his hands to deploy them. He pressed them and immediately the blades came out. Strat was surprised at how his blade looked.

" The design on the blades is better than what I did for them. The colors on it went better than expected since it's painted black with crimson red splashed on the blades as if it were blood. Also, the flexibility on it was better than the ones I made in the past." Said Strat while observing the blades.

But then Strat remembered he had other cybernetics to make. So, he went back to the module and designed some more cybernetics. With more cybernetics, more pain came with them being installed. After the effort and pain, he went through he was finally finished. Strat went and checked on the kid. He noticed that the baby was trying to say words but couldn't.

So, he picked the kid up with his now metallic hands. As he picked the baby up from its cradle Strat noticed that the baby tried to grab his face and ears. The baby looked like he was having fun, so Strat let it slide. Strat remembered that he never got food ready for them. So, he went to the module to see if it could cook up something for them, and to his surprise it did.

There was a variety of foods it can cook so he went through it and found something. He found one of his favorite foods " sopes", which was a type of Mexican food. He always liked it since his father figure was Mexican, so he got this when they had the money to buy the ingredients. Strat found baby food for baby David.

Strat got the food immediately after picking it up. He went looking around the building for booster chairs and regular chairs. After 30 minutes of looking, he found some. He then went to get little David to put in the booster chairs to start eating. After putting David in the booster chair Strat immediately started feeding him.

Afterward, Strat brought David back to his crib to let him go to sleep. Then Strat went back to eat his food which was already cold but he didn't mind it. As soon as he finished eating he went away to go find a couch to sleep next to little David. Once he did he immediately went to sleep when thinking about what he should do for David and what he was going to do for training to get used to the cybernetics he installed. Tomorrow was going to be a big day for them.
