The Edenian Emperor

After a week of patrolling the shipping routes, the Royal Navy had finally repelled the pirates who had blockaded the island.

With the resounding victory they had achieved, the Navy sailors were in high spirits, proving their dominance over the pirates.

Back on the island, word quickly spread that the pirates obstructing the trade route had been eliminated, causing those who heard the news to celebrate with excitement.

The streets were lively, and everyone celebrated by going to the tavern to eat and drink.

In the royal office, Henry was praising his son for the significant contribution he had made.

Reina sat on the sofa beside them, holding her son tightly.

"Ahaha, you truly did an excellent job, Archie!" Henry praised.

"Honey, don't you think our baby is growing up too fast?" Reina inquired with concern.

"Without him, we wouldn't have dealt with the pirates so easily; he certainly belongs on the throne." Henry replied.

Henry added, "We need to send a message to your brother, since we won't be needing his help any time soon, haha." He glanced at Reina.

Reina responded, "He's probably busy taking care of those who were behind the scenes of the conflict."

Henry nodded, "Mhm."

Archie asked, "Mom, who is my uncle?"

Archie knew he was the Emperor of Eden, but he hadn't heard much about him otherwise.

Reina replied, "Your uncle, Saint Luscius Edonia, is a charismatic person who loves to laugh a lot, but if he's your opponent, he can be quite cold."

She added, "Before I married your father, I was Reina Edonia, the princess of the Edenian Empire. You'll meet him when you turn 15, as it's on your path to the academy."

Reina revealed, "Your fiancée will also meet you then, she's the same age as you."

"Huh??"

Confused, Archie panicked, "I-I have a fiancée?"

"Yes, she's a sweet girl, and you'll definitely like her based on the photos from the formation arrays we've seen." Reina replied with a smile.

Archie asked, "And when was this engagement planned?"

Archie couldn't believe he was engaged, considering he had virtually no experience from his previous life.

Archie thought, 'I'm not sure if this is a good or a bad thing.'

Reina answered, "It was decided before the both of you were born. Don't worry, you'll get to know her better when you both study at Gaia Academy."

Henry added, "Don't worry, boy. Based on her mother's appearance, she'll undoubtedly grow up beautifully."

"Ouch!"

Reina playfully tapped Henry on the back of his head.

"Hmph."

"Alright, I'll come to accept it when I get to know her." Archie replied, quietly leaving the room.

The System chimed in, "Haha, why are you feeling so down?"

"It's just that I forgot I was a prince who would marry based on political connections rather than love." Archie responded.

The System asked, "Is that a problem?"

"I don't think so, ha… hahaha!" Archie laughed joyfully.

System: "Lucky bastard, hmph."

Far from the island, across the Jade Sea, within a grand Imperial Palace, an emperor sat in his office, reviewing the state of affairs.

"So, you're informing me that the Serpent Kingdom, Derean Kingdom, and the Sunfire Empire are targeting the Avalonian ship route to block vital resources from reaching the island?" questioned a large man in red attire, his eyes sharp and the color of deep ocean blue, and his hair a mix of blonde and gray.

"Yes, your Majesty," replied his butler, Gideon Winifred.

"Those fools, what makes them think they can halt us now?" grumbled Emperor Luscius Edonia.

Emperor Luscius ordered, "Very well, relocate more knights to the borders and send the navy to support Avalon."

The butler reported, "Sir, it appears that Avalon has already eradicated the pirates in their region."

"Really? How did they manage that, especially when the pirate fleet, Sea Titan, supposedly had 300 ships?" inquired the Emperor.

The butler responded, "According to our reports, the pirates were overwhelmed by the sheer might of the Avalonian Navy."

"Hmm, intriguing. It seems they have some hidden tricks up their sleeves, that crafty brother-in-law of mine, haha."

Knock!, Knock!

The door knocked and slowly creaked open.

A young girl entered with golden blonde hair, sky-blue eyes, and a pink dress.

"Daddy, what are you doing?" she asked.

"Daddy is working, Julia. What is it?"

"Brother won't play with me!" Julia replied, visibly irritated.

"Don't worry, go play with mommy until I finish this meeting, pumpkin."

"Bah!" She stormed out of the room.

"She certainly has a strong personality, your Majesty," the butler commented.

"That she does," Luscius replied, sinking into his chair.

Inside a castle at the border, three men sat in a meeting room with their guards positioned behind them.

"So, you're telling me the pirates failed?" asked the man in the middle.

"Yes, it appears they retreated after being defeated and haven't contacted us since," the man on the left explained.

"Did your incompetent Serpent Kingdom achieve only this much?" The middle man shouted, clearly angered.

"Don't blame him, sir. It seems that the Avalonian Navy had some hidden cards up their sleeves, catching the pirates off guard," the man on the right added.

"Damn it!" The man in the middle slammed his hand on the table.

"Do we have any information about these hidden cards they used against the pirates? It could be valuable in the future," he inquired.

The man on the left replied, "No, sir, we haven't obtained any information on that. All we know is that it's a weapon that shoots lightning."

After a brief contemplation, the man in the middle ordered, "Since we have no other choice, we'll have to abandon the plan. There's no point in continuing this futile scheme without the pirates harassing that damn island." His eyes burned with fury.

"Just you wait, we'll conquer that island and strip it clean of resources."

Inside the Royal Palace of Avalon, Archie was devising his next course of action.

Having successfully managed the food supply and defended against the pirates, his next step, of course, had to be housing.
