Prologue - the night prowler (part 1)

He swore under his breath. How dare they treat him like this. As if he were some sort of horrid monster. It's not like he killed that man on purpose. He couldn't control himself. He needed to feed. He slammed his fist into the stone wall of the alley, shattering it as if it were thin glass. Hungry. His stomach rumbled as a woman passed by the alley way.

'She smells delicious...' he bit his lip, punching the wall again. He had to fight it. He had to. But then... he was so hungry.. and she smelled so good... his arms went limp at his sides as he stumbled out of the alley. He turned towards the woman as she walked away, oblivious to his presence. His lips curled into a sick grin as he dashed forward. In the blink of an eye he was on her. Her screams filled the night as his fangs pierced her neck.

He awoke the next morning in the same alley way from the night before. His lips were still red with dried blood. He slowly rose to his feet and stumbled out of the alley into the nearly empty road. He cursed himself for his weakness. He turned his gaze towards the large manor at the center of the town. His face twisted into a scowl as he laid eyes upon his former home.

"You'll all pay for this..." he muttered to himself as he started towards the manor.
