For the first time in my life, I was surrounded by trees. Trees of all things, I haven't seen so many in the entirety of my life. Although the forest was near where the city, I haven't had much reason to go there. Money didn't grow in trees, except for traveling people or adventurers, there wasn't much money to be found. Plus, most adventurers were broke.

In front of me was a wooden cabin, one that had a door, but no window. I wondered if every cabin was like this, if so then perhaps I'll be the first to make one with a window. Then again, it would take a lot of time and money to build something like this. Things that I don't have.

It is a little hard to concentrate when the rich snobs were once again giving me that disgusted look. Well, let me tell you that we give you the same look behind your backs. Because all us street rats know that you're nothing but words, filled with those fancy words you snobs are. All bark n' no bite.

My remarks that never left my mouth, were cut off when a sobbing kid ran out the door. I think he was the 56th one of today. The 34th parent of the day screamed at the log cabin, though screaming at a log cabin doesn't help much in my opinion. I doubted that whoever was behind those closed doors could hear them.

"You scammer! Making my child cry! Do you know who I am?" the father called out in anger. And though screaming did nothing for him, it did make the line behind me, which consisted mostly of parents holding their children's hands, start whispering. A whispering that contained mostly of this:

"Mommy, I'm scared."

"Don't be baby, that child was simply weak, he can never compare to my baby," the mother said, feeding the child's ego with large spoonfuls. The feeling of doubt was starting to charge at them, getting closer with every single second that ticked by. I could feel it, the parents second guessing themselves. The only reason they were here was probably because of the prize money, or so I thought to myself.

Well, if they were scammers, they have nothing to scam me out of. So I should be fine.

"Next!" an annoyed voice called out, not that it surprised me. I would be annoyed as well if I was handling this rich people, unless they gave me money of course.

But in any case, I was next.
