In the entirety of the events, the soul in charge of the body was that of AB13.

(Real name retained by Moderator action.)

However, the body in question was that of Frederick von Raymond whose soul was in a static state.

Q: So the MC is more of a body hijacker? That's sick.

Yes, it can be said that AB13 has taken over the body of Frederick.

But during chapter 4, when the individual called Subaru came in contact with the host for a brief moment the soul of Frederick took over.

Possible catalyst for the given event is likely to be 'The witch's miasma'

So, where was this Frederick guy, the soul one I mean all this time before Arc 1? I mean like he just popped out of thin air in this Fan-fic. No explanations no nothing. Seriously, was the author really thinking?

To answer the question, a day before the Host started to interact with Subaru Natsuki and Emilia the 'Half-elf', Frederick von Raymond was in his HomeWorld, in his Homeland: The continent of Alkazar.

He was a completely normal individual in charge of his own body back then and was on a Adventure with his Fiance Elizabeth Transylvania.

But that's a heck of a backstory!

Anyways, so why did ... no, how did they end up in Lugunica, in the ReZero world?

Q: The adventurers of Alkazar continent sometimes encounter entities from the other worlds and send them back by defeating them. In case of defeat, it was conjectured that the two worlds would collide.

The invader this time around was the 'Witch of Envy' as per this world's terminology.

Q: Frederick and his fiance were defeated even before being able to do anything.

And after the battle, he was just here in Lugunica.

With the Host in charge of his body. And he was sent to the backgrounds.

In that regard, the mana manipulation by the Host i.e.: 'The inferno arm' in chapter 4 was the doing of Frederick von Raymond and not the Host.

Q: I see...that's the reason you call this AB13 guy the 'Host'. I thought you were just trying to act fance. I think I get the reason why you call him Host and not by his real name.
