Chapter 28

We shall depart now and head towards our own ways...

(Kaishin's POV)

Something feels off but I just can't figure what it is and I really think that this is the most important thing that I should notice. I had an ominous feeling as we separate ways with Lady Rij and the others and at the moment before we could ever really separate to our own ways, I feel scared for the moment but the current standing I am in, I could not stop them from going away...

"Hey Val, was it?... Don't you feel that something feels off about this?" I asked Val to see how he reacts

He just stood there as he drive the carriage and stare silently at his front...

"Hmm..." He sounds as he close his eyes and tries to think about it.

"I got no sort of idea to what possibly could make me feel off about this but, my soldier instincts tells me so that we might be walking to vast land full of landmines..." He says

Hearing this from him, makes me want to go back... My chest feels tight... The same feeling I got from back then... And I don't like this at all!... But, i can't do anything once more...

(My POV)

Fesil is driving the carriage once more and it feels new that I'm not traveling with Kaishin... I guess I was too accustomed with Kaishin's presence when we go out to travel... Well, It will only be for a few days...

(Time skip- their arrival)

"Hello, We've come from afar with rare goods! would the Baron may take interest to them?" Fesil says to the guard of the Baron's gate.

Unexpectedly, they let us in so easily without through inspect... Is the Baron Hiska aware of my identity? Did Baron Jibel or Marish informed of him about this before?

That doesn't seem the case for me though... For now, at least we have our weapons in our cases... Just in case something happens... At least we could fight with it... I hope...

For now, we were invited inside like the way we were at Baron Jibel's manor and we were asked to be seated... We were given a cup of tea each and served with some treats... As both Fesil and Comil were to either gonna take a sip from the tea or about to get some from the treats, I looked at them and gave them a signal not to do so...

As soon as we were left alone, I poured some portion of our tea from the cup to a nearby plant pot and we hid some of the treats in our cases for I smell some sleeping drugs from both of it ...

A few moments later and they came back, We pretended to be asleep and as they were about to grab our cases, we held them down and quickly get our weapons from it...

They tried to get some injections and inject us with some drug but Fesil was way more fast than them and was able to throw his knives at them before they could ever reach for any of us. His knives went through their palm and made them drop their injections.

Two men came and pulled out their guns, As they were trying to aim for us with their trembling hands, I took one of Comil's gun and shoot them in their head. The blood vividly splashes in the air.

It's color was like the ones before that I've seen when I was a child...

The dark blood splattering all over the place as it slowly drench and dye me with the same color of it... The blood being shed at those times are the same color as the ones splashing right now.

"Comil, Fesil, Let's look for Baron Hiska!" I said as we go upstairs.

When we finally reached the top, A man's figure came in sight and surprised us. It was a little boy in a noble's chlothing...

"Are you the Baron's Child?" I asked

The little boy just stared intensely at us as he seems to be holding a pocket watch in his hands.

"Tick Tock...Tick Tock..." He says repeatingly...
