Chapter 14
Kaishin and I are on our way to the church. Aton was driving our carriage while Kaishin and I are driving both the carriage that Baron Jibel lent to us. I was quite nervous for i only know how to ride on a horse.
It was a very rocky road and made the carriage shake all over... At that time, I was enveloped by both fear and excitement. I know that this is weird for a time like this but, I couldn't just help but feel like this and wear smile that I've never even shown before when i was still the lady of our dukedom or even after being a queen.
We are now getting closer to the church... I could hear a slight sound of gunshot and screaming... We hurriedly rushed and saw children shivering in fear while they cry. Other sisters tries to comfort the children.
"Where are the guest that visited here???." I asked one of the sisters that was comforting the children.
The sister said that she doesn't know so we were only left with the choice to look for them inside. They were nowhere to be found!...
Suddenly, Behind our back, One sister jumps to us with a dagger in her hand! Gladly, Kaishin was there to protect me. Her grip to the dagger was so strong that made every slash of it, make a sound.
Kaishin doesn't have any other choice but to attack her back and not shake her off... And so, he took out his knives...
At that time, i could surely tell that the look in his changed... His eyes felt like it was lifeless and every move he does makes me think that he didn't train but was like... he was accustomed to it... His knife then, slashes to every side of the sister with her blood spilling everywhere... He looked like he didn't care at all...
All i could do was to watch him with his dead stare and with his hands dripping with blood. A few seconds later, he looked at me and let out a sad smile...
"Let's go..." he said as he reached out his hand but then, retrieves it back as he grip it tightly...
Later on, we heard gunshots from somewhere and followed it... Later on, we found a secret entrance that leaded us to where Comil and Fesil is... Looks like, They already succeeded in finding the victims but, They look tire... and when i look down, i could see piles of brothers and sisters from the church, lying lifeless in the ground.
Kaishin hurriedly run towards the enemies and slashed their neck with an unknown speed... I too, decided to fight but, i don't have a fitting weapon at all... Just as i were thinking of these, i saw from the hands of one of the brothers that Comil and Fesil killed, is a sword. I hurriedly took it and dash towards Kaishin's side and attacked the enemies together with him.
Without fear, i charged in and faced them without caring of getting my hand dirty... I am no longer the delicate lady that needs to be protected by her people, It is my turn now to protect everyone!
I slashed my sword to the enemies that i face with my resolve together on every slash that i make.
I feel tire... this might be the first time that i held a sword and swing it all over... As i look at Kaishin, Comil, and Fesil... They also look so tired that their eyelids are slowly being shut down by their overflowing sweat. We still haven't been able to attack the priest...
As i think of it, I realized that the priest was nowhere to be found... i tried looking around but he really isn't anywhere so i return my sight to Kaishin and saw him running towards Kaishin, with a sword in his hands. The priest grip it tightly and charge onto Comil... I hurriedly run to her and slashed the Priest's head off... Everyone looked so surprised at that moment that the eyes that felt heavy earlier, are now being opened widely... The head flew and landed on the ground.... The floor that we were standing at... were filled with blood in a mere moment...
