chapter 25 Round 2

While inside the white space I refilled my own primeval sea essence with primeval essence stones. Then I used the wills in my head to revaluate my last match.

I had let my guard down to much in the beginning. Just because I saw her I didn't expect any hidden attacks from her. That's why her attack that came from underneath the ground was so effective. If I was using thermal gu I wouldn't have been caught like that. Though I did the same to her later but if she had a good method to track me I would have summoned my featherman self to attack her from the air as I attacked her head on.

Over all I have much to learn, if only I had some more experience fighting other gu masters. Having my weapons out early was a huge advantage to. Had I not took out some weapons beforehand I would have had to hit her with my bare hands injuring myself because of her poison. I couldn't have used well stored gu and brought out weapons without attracting her attention by using the gu.

Thinking so I took out my prized bow and quiver and put it on my back. It really is best to have it and not need it then to not have it and need it. I also took out my large spiked metal bat, if only my attainment was better I would have loved to create a gu like hero gu or another strong human path gu to fight, but I'm being to greedy what I have most would kill for. Even without self-being gu the rest of my gu set could truly be considered a gu master inheritance.

As I was in my thoughts I was once again teleported into a new area. This time I was placed into a large forest and it raining lightly. In front of me was a plain looking woman, that was wearing a beautiful sunset red robe. Besides her outfit nothing about her stood out, but something felt off.

Her entire body posture was odd, she was relaxed as if she was waiting for a friend. She had a light smile on her face with her eyes almost closed. Nothing about her seemed like she was about to fight with her life on the line. Most people would relax at her sight but my instincts were screaming for some reason.

I don't trust many things in my life but my instincts have never let me down and in this world it means even more.

???[ ladies and gentlemen our next match representing Sha clan is Celine Sha, and representing Hu clan is Shuidi zhide Hu. Let's hope this match doesn't end too quick. You know the drill one minute to finalize all bets and the match will begin once the bell rings.]

Hmmmm they didn't mention our paths this time.... this is to fishy. I'm going to bring out my featherman self out from the start to help me fight. I reached into my pockets that had some spiked metal balls and with my other hand I brought out all of my gu for my featherman self.

The second I heard a bell I used jab gu to send the spiked metal balls at Celine. Then I let out a will that solidified my featherman self, I also had thermal vision gu active to watch out for any hidden attacks.

Celine didn't even flinch as the spiked metal balls hit a black shield protecting her from any damage although it did crack a bit, but before I could do anything else the world went dark.

....

Smack..... I was woken up abruptly with my featherman self smacking me in the face. What happened? We were just fighting and then.... where are we?

I looked around and noticed we were on top of a tree. I took off a piece of the will my featherman self had to learned what had happened.

Featherman self pov

The main body fell after my summoning, I immediately took all the gu the main body took out. I then activated big gu and killer whale strength gu. With those two active I was able to carry the main body to the top of the trees for some cover. The opponent shot out some green darts at me but I made sure the main body didn't get hit.

Once I was sure we were at a safe distance. I shook the main body but he didn't respond with no choice left I smacked him in the face.

She managed to make me fall asleep... What kind of killer move is that? I used some of the wills in my head to think about this quickly. The only killer move like that in the story would be lead soul into dream. A dream/soul path killer move, but their shouldn't be any dream path methods in this world. Maybe it's a soul path killer move, even though soul path never had its era its still developed

Thankfully I used my variant self or I would have already lost. I'm gonna have to play this safe, who knows if she can spam that killer move or if it effects my variant selfs. I took off my bow and arrows and gave it to my featherman self. Then using well stored gu I took out two new spiked metal bats, and finally I activated jab gu and solidified my human variant self.

Then I used thermal vision gu in the direction where I last saw her. I could see her slowly making her way towards me, no she was running bit in my eyes she was slow. Does she not have a movement gu? Well she has whatever made me sleep, then a defensive barrier gu and a one that shoots out some green darts. That's three minimum, now let's see if she has a tracking gu.

I sent off my featherman self into the air and ordered him to shoot at her from the air. While my human self ran at her directly armed only with brass knuckles. As for me I activated stealth scale gu and went around slowly.

My featherman self shot arrows at her but her black shield would stop the arrows from hurting her. They would barely crack the shield protecting her. She looked at him for a bit but then quickly looked over at my human self once he was about 15 yards away from her.

So she probably does have a detection gu. Just to be safe I'll be a few more yards away from 15 feet. She smiled once my human self got close, but her smile didn't last. After a few minutes she frowned at my human self, did her killer move that can make people sleep not work on my variant selfs.

She soon shot out green darts at my human self, I ordered him to fall like he died. Once the darts connected my human self fell as if he died right into the ground, she continued to shoot at my human self. While all of that was happening I aimed the best I could with my bat and swung it.

The bat powered by 8 variant human strength phantoms flew leaving only the swishing sounds in its place. The bat went straight towards her and once again her dark shield appeared but this time the strength of the bat shattered it all. Leaving her defenseless and my featherman self shot out an arrow at full force.

It hit her from the top of her head and came out from her throat. Her body began to fall to the ground but before it fell all the way flames appeared all around her. They were a blinding red but they didn't stay long, after a few seconds they disappeared and Celine was standing up and grabbing at her throat as if to check if it was still there.

???[ looks like Shuidi zhide Hu is the winner....]

Before I could hear the rest I was teleported into the white space along with my variant selfs.

Initel's will[ good job boy, I wasn't certain if her attack would work on your variant selfs. Good thing I betted a bit on you, with your odds so low I earned quite a bit.]

Her will was smiling from ear to ear at me. I brought back in my wills and took my gu from my featherman self.

Shu[ What Was that killer move? I couldn't even see it let alone defend against it.]

Initel's will[ it's a rule path killer move that targets the opponents mind and puts them to sleep. She won her last two fights with it, she just put them to sleep and takes them out with no issues.]

Rule path? Well it would make more sense then dream and soul path I suppose, but if I hadn't brought out my featherman self I would have lost. Celine seemed to be a glass canon, she had a unique killer move but without it she wasn't much trouble. She might have had a good defensive gu and a decent scouting gu but the gu she used to attack was to weak. Though if we had to fight in groups I'm not confident at all in winning.

Initel's will[ now the next fight is gonna be exciting.]

Shu[ My next match? Will it be someone like Celine again?]

Initel's will[ well you just beat someone who won two matches in a row, not to mention no one really expected you to win. Yet you did and you even showed two of your variant selfs, and you showed that one could use gu, and now you've won two matches in a row. Your next opponent should match your capability no?]

The next match is gonna be a bitch isn't it.
