There was a huge uproar as Jiao stormed everywhere in his empire. He directly attacked Ember state's Long family castle. He wanted to get rid of traitors first. He was confronted by Kai Long, the minister of Ember state. Jiao killed him quickly. The strategy was being supplied with chi and energy from all the warriors continuously. There were support teams moving to and fro, fetching yin water and yang pills to help restore the energy levels in thousands of cultivators.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Loud explosions occurred outside the hazy energy barrier. Jiao was attacking it continuously.

"Can we survive this?" Queen Kyra asked as she sighed, looking at the power Jiao was displaying. It filled her heart with fear.

"I don't know…" Hei answered. "I'm only at level 7 Sage realm. I cannot defeat that monster." His gaze was solemn. "If he breaks in, I'll hold him off. You must take off with the knights via the secret passage. Wind has made arrangements. You will find no trouble in staying in the revolutionary army base.

Kyra shook her head. "I will not leave you behind."

"It is a knight's duty to serve the royals." Hei spoke calmly. "Death in the line of duty brings glory and honor. Please Queen, retreat when the time comes."

"Do not tell me what to do." Kyra frowned.

"…"

"You're the strongest warrior of Blyn." Kyra continued. "You can become the next king! We'll leave together. I'm sure the army can hold Jiao off a while."

"If I may be so bold…" Hei spoke and looked at Kyra. "A knight cannot become a King unless…"

"Unless he marries a queen or princess." Kyra completed his sentence, looking back at him. There was a momentary silence between the two.

"This would be preposterous of me." Hei rejected the idea. "Plus your husband…"

"If he cared about his family or his state, he'd have returned years ago." Kyra said coldly through gnashed teeth. "He's not coming back. I am not going to wait for him either."

"..." Hei remained silent for a while. Kyra proceeded to hold his hand, making his heart jump a little. Hei had been a loyal knight his entire life. Now the Queen herself was approaching him. This felt…thrilling!

Hei took a few breaths before taking a step forward and kissed Kyra fully on her lips. His hands wrapped around her waist and began caressing while Kyra moaned into the kiss. The entire army's heads turned as they witness this happening on the platform where Hei and Kyra were standing.

"I'll stop him. You are no match against an Emperor! Retreat!" Hei howled.

"…" At once everyone was stumped. In front of an unimaginably powerful foe, how many royals would pit themselves against him and let their subjects retreat into safety? Kyra wouldn't have done it. Jiao smiled. "Emperor slash." He said, swinging his scythe and cutting down in air towards Hei.

Clang! Boom! Hei felt a strong force as he was struck with his powerful attack. He felt dizzy. When he came about, he realized that Jiao's left hand was tightly clenching his throat over the armor and…there were multiple Jiao duplicates surrounding him.

"…." Hei kept using his technique anyway. The large stones were spinning and revolving around the Jiaos and Hei, ready to strike.

"Not bad…" Jiao smiled. "Not bad at all. You're a worthy opponent."

"Leave him!" knights hollered from below and immediately struck towards Jiao using their respective techniques.

"Humph! You're liked by your people as well." Jiao added before mobilizing his duplicates to ward off the long-range attacks that the Blyn army was using. But the duplicates didn't descend to fight.

"Join me." Jiao then said, surprising Hei and everyone else. Everybody was a cultivator with keen senses. Jiao was audible enough to them.

"Join me and I'll spare your lives and won't burn down this last city. You can rebuild your state afterwards. I will provide you financial aid and manpower as well." Jiao continued. "In exchange, you will tell me where the revolutionary army's base is. &…where is White Clown."

"…" Hei stayed silent. He had a loyal nature. Jiao was enemy to his allies. Not only was Blyn state allied to revolutionary army but they had a deep relation with Wind too. Jiao didn't know White Clown's identity but Hei did. There was no way he could backstab Wind and the revolutionary army just for the sake of survival.

"Think well." Jiao said again. "Even if you have potential and promising prowess; you're still only at level 7 Sage realm. Your Queen is merely at level 8 Master realm. You two along with your entire army cannot harm me. I will not only kill you but also massacre your entire state, leaving not even a newborn baby alive…if you reject my offer."

"…" Silence befell the city. All eyes were glued to Hei. Hei had a righteous nature. He was liked by everyone. Hei took a deep breath before speaking, "My answer is…"

Fwoosh! Suddenly one of the figures started burning in fire, the light of which revealed the two people's identity. They were Alexia and Wind.

"So this is the famed Dwarves colony?" Alexia asked as she looked around. It was a desolate area full of rocks, dangerous cliffs and broken arrays. Far away there was a shabby but big building. It was the central hub which contained numerous strategies laid about. For centuries Aerin the elf lady had resided there, developing the central hub into a strategy fortress. But most of these strategies had been damaged during Kol's attack.

"Yes, this is it." Wind said. "This will be our temporary refuge and stronghold. A few of my allies should arrive here shortly."

"I've already been waiting for you actually." Suddenly a voice echoed, alarming Alexia but Wind remained calm. He had already seen the owner of this voice long ago. His range of vision spanned up to 10000 li. This was basically about five thousand miles radius area. The owner of the voice stepped forward in the light of the flames. He had a tall stature, green hair and green eyes. He wore white loose clothes and there was a long sword hanging by his waist. He was a very handsome man. He was…Plant King.

"Glad you're here." Wind smiled and said, not wanting to boast about his technique. Plant King nodded before looking at Alexia and bowing like a gentleman.

"Greetings lady. I'm Plant King, an ordinary cultivator." Plant King said.

"Hello." Alexia bowed courteously and smiled beautifully. "I'm Alexia, princess of Blyn state." She then blinked realizing that she came off as proud while this gentleman had been humble. She shook her head inwardly and sighed.

"I've heard your state is quite powerful." Plant King said. "Thank you for joining us in the revolution."

Alexia shook her head. "It's an honor to battle alongside allies like you."

"Honor is ours." Plant King said with a smile and nodded. After he was done with introductions, his gaze turned to Wind. "Where's Xiao?" He asked.

"Inside." Wind said, raising his hand to show his spatial ring. Plant King frowned as he noticed that the treasure strategy ring was missing from Wind's fingers.

"What happened to the treasure strategy?" Plant King asked.

"It had to be sacrificed to get Jiao off our backs." Wind answered.

"Jiao!?" Plant King exclaimed. "Wasn't he fighting Wu Shang? Then…Wu Shang and also Hyun Jung…"

Wind nodded and sighed. "They are no longer alive."

"…" Plant King felt bitter. He disliked Wu Shang as he was his rival in love but he was still a powerful cultivator who loved Xiao. They were on the same boat and in the same woman often. It had created a slight solidarity between Plant King and Wu Shang. Little did Plant King know that Wu Shang's love for Xiao was due to love drug and he was one of the first few people who had messed Xiao up.

"Xiao could use your aid in healing my father." Wind said to Plant King and the latter understood. He nodded and went inside Wind's spatial ring right away. Wind trusted him now. "Spoken like a true knight." Jiao was really impressed. This state always intrigued him. It was small but robust. It had a lack of character amongst the nobles and yet they all treated their citizens kindly. & now even in the face of adversity and definite extermination, they braved and chose honor over death. If Jiao could gain such a valiant & loyal ally, it'd boost his lost military prowess. As such, Jiao didn't want to go overboard and kill them off just yet. He gave out another offer.

"In that case, instead of giving information on rebels and White Clown…" Jiao spoke and glanced at Kyra who was relieving herself on a platform. She was in complete heat under the effect of ten years of full moon technique.

Hei understood Jiao's gaze. He gritted his teeth and sighed. This was a difficult decision. Should he hand over Kyra to Jiao? Use her to establish peace with Ji Empire?
