Chapter Twenty-Five

"Happy anniversary," Becca heard as soon as she opened her door, from behind a ridiculously big bunch of red roses. She looked at it confused, smiling when Luke appeared. 

"It's not our anniversary for another month," she told him now, thinking she must be one of the only women she knew with a boyfriend who was ahead of their anniversary rather than late. 

"Our official one is yes," Luke contradicted her, making her frown again. "But today's a year since we met in 502 Bar," he reminded her, pulling her in to give her a kiss. 

"Oh, you're right, I can't believe I didn't…." she started to gush embarrassed, but he kissed her again to stop her in her tracks.
