"Why are you doing this." The brute man shrunk in fear, he couldn't believe a fervent warrior like himself could not beat a woman as feeble looking as the one before him. "Why ..... isn't it obvious because I feel like it, and you are a scumbag and also you're a tool for me to get the attention I need." The lady said while stroking the Brute man's face . "You are a monster, monster I tell you." The Brute man said regretting not heeding his colleagues warning against crime in this alley. "In order to conquer and get revenge you have to be a lot of things." The lady said with a cold smirk on her face landing the last strike that led to the death of the Brute man while she walked into the night with her wine bottle in her hands and her red dress. --------------------- Watching her mother (The Empress) die in the in the hands of the royal concubine, devastation was an understatement. "How dare you talk to my mother like that?!" Han Jiwoo yelled, she had not noticed Bogsu earlier probably because she was in Lin Wei's arms.
"If you don't want to turn into dust I advise you to shut up, I don't want to degrade my intelligence talking to you" Bogsu degraded Han Jiwoo without any hesitation.
Song Yuan was taken aback at how much audacity Bogsu had to insult the Royal concubine and the crown prince of Chi nation state in front of the Emperor.
He looked at Han Jisung thinking he would say something but Han Jisung kept quiet.
"Bogsu dear, I thought we've already made up already, please don't be angry with me any more." Song Minhyun pleaded with tears dropping from her eyes while Bogsu just snorted, "Green tea bitch." she said before turning away from them as she just was not in the mood to deal with them at the moment.
Song Yuan wanted to defend his sister but kept quiet because he knew that if he did that in the end he might expose himself as the Emperor Song Yuan and it would not be a funny outcome, though Song Yuan wondered what happens in the Chi nation palace he had a spy there but the spy only reported Han Jisung treating Song Minhyun with contempt and nothing about Bogsu maltreating her too.
"Hold up." Han Jisung finally said something after a while, even as much as he wanted Bogsu to take care of these two thorns in his flesh, it would be embarrassing of word got out that he let a mere General bully his family.
"Bogsu, you are a general now and no longer a vigilante." Han Jisung started scolding her but did not carry that stern cold warning that everyone expected and it was surprisingly gentle.
Bogsu rolled her eyes not bothering about what ever Han Jisung said, "You should know there are rules and one of those rules is respecting members of the royal family so behave yourself and remember to treat Han Jiwoo with special respect since you two are getting married after the war." Han Jisung said hoping that Bogsu would comply to him without a fight but she was Bogsu after all.
"I am not marrying that stinky boy, I'm off to prepare for the next battle." She said and left before Han Jisung could say another word.
Song Yuan wondered what Han Jisung was thinking especially when Han Jiwoo left him to die, but what was his business, looking around, Song Yuan swiftly slipped away so that Song Minhyun would not spot him and recognise him.
Lin Wei went forward and bowed waist down, "Please forgive Bogsu on my behalf." Lin Wei apologized before turning around to leave, seeing that they were all alone now, Han Jisung gaze turned cold as he glared fiercely at Song Minhyun.
"I give you till Dawn I want to see that you have left and don't come here anymore." Han Jisung said sternly in a cold voice leaving no room for the protest that Song Minhyun wanted to hold.
"Father don't blame mother, I was in panic and did not know what to do so I called mother in to come help me out." Han Jiwoo said trying to salvage the situation.
"I have said what I have to say, I don't want to see you here by Dawn." Han Jisung said finally turning around and left not taking a single glance back.
"What was that stunt you pulled?!" Song Minhyun yelled at Han Jiwoo and slapped her hard after Han Jisung left.
Han Jiwoo held her face in shock unable to believe that her mother had just slapped her, "Mother." She cried out with grievance as tears gathered in eyes.
"Don't call me mother, you are not worthy enough to be born from me, you worthless child." Song Minhyun cursed Han Jiwoo eyeing her heavily.
"Did you not want me to always rule? It was an opportunity that was why I did not go after father." Han Jiwoo complained feeling completely wronged by her mother, was she not the one that made her dress as a male just so she could have a right to the throne, or the one that thought her that even if she had to use underhanded means, she had to get the favour of everyone so that her ascending the throne would be easy.
"You fool." Song Minhyun cursed again with the rims of her eyes red as she hit Han Jiwoo again, "Did you not think of the possibility of him returning back safe, did you think he is as dumb as you not to know your motive of not coming to save him?" Song Minhyun added each word she said was filled with the disdain she had for Han Jiwoo.
After hearing her mother's words, Han Jiwoo eyes widened in realization of what Song Minhyun was trying to say as she immediately fell down to her knees and hit her head hard on the ground, "I'm sorry for that mother, I promise to do better next time." Han Jiwoo pleaded trying to hold back her tears, she did this thinking Han Jisung would die and she could finally get her mother's appreciation and acknowledgement for ascending the throne but it seems that everything was just a farce and a far fetched dream, a dream that would never happen.
"I don't care about what you do. Just look for a way to convince your father that the delay in his rescue was not caused by you and look for a way to win his trust back or else you would definitely not like me at all in the end." Song Minhyun sneered looking at the worthless thing she called a child, she swore in her heart that if Han Jiwoo did not make things right she would personally deal with her enough to make her regret her actions today, with that thought, Song Minhyun left afraid that Han Jisung might do something nasty if he found her here at Dawn like he said.
