The Stranger Man Named Dave
In the car, Skyra sat next to the man who was Rumpaka's accomplice, the woman could only be silent without making a sound and squeezed her hands because she didn't know what to talk about. On the way to the company, Rumpaka secretly asked the man to wait and take him to the company. Finally, she was spared from fear, so that no one could suspect if she went with the boss. Sky didn't think that Rumpaka had prepared it. No wonder she was in the car for a moment, the man seemed calmer than himself, who kept being made uncomfortable thinking about this.
"Didn't Mr. Rumpaka pounce on you last night, Miss?" asked the man suddenly, interrupting Skyra's daydream who was remembering Rumpaka's kindness this morning.
Skyra was immediately surprised to hear the question from the man beside him. Honestly, she didn't understand the meaning of the sentence.
"What do you mean, sir?" Sky asked back by staring fixedly at the man's face.
The man named Dave smiled at the expression displayed by Skyra that looked innocent when he looked at her as if absolutely nothing had happened between the woman and his boss who is famous for being savage, especially when he was with a woman who caught his attention.
"Ehm… I mean, the hot love affair between you and Mr. Rumpaka. Did you do that with him last night, you were in his apartment, weren't you?" the man repeated his words, albeit in a riddle sentence, and felt no guilt at all by the question that made Skyra gasp. Is it appropriate for the man to ask something quite private, it's also good for him to ask because she can answer the truth so that later he won't think anywhere else?
"Of course not, Sir, I didn't do anything with him, we slept separately. He's on the bed, while I'm on the sofa," Skyra replied bluntly with a small smile to eliminate the nervousness that suddenly hit the man's question.
And now it was Dave's turn to gasp as he glanced occasionally at Skyra, Dave had to divide his vision between driving and the girl. However, he did not immediately believe it, because it was impossible for Andreas Rumpaka not to touch the woman who caught his eye. However, he was also surprised that this man doesn't usually bring women to the apartment, if he wants to go on a date, of course, he invites him to a hotel, not to a private apartment. It could be said that the woman beside him was the first woman to successfully enter Rumpaka's apartment, and on closer inspection, her face looked innocent, unlike a woman that Rumpaka easily wanted to touch.
"Are you serious that guy didn't touch you at all?" Dave was still asking.
Skyra looked at Dave, then shook her head slowly. "Yes, there is no hot romance between us, so what, Sir?" Skyra was curious because the expression on the man's face seemed like he was unbelieving her answer, even though she didn't do anything with Rumpaka last night.
"Um… it doesn't matter, but I'm just surprised that man not usually touch women, especially if the woman withdraws his gaze. You are also the only woman invited to Mr. Rumpaka's apartment." Dave even revealed a fact that had been kept secret by him and Rumpaka.
Skyra digested the man's words for a moment because it felt strange. Is not Rumpaka famous as a jerk who would often date several women? That also made him wonder because last night his boss's attitude was different, not scary at all, just the look of someone in love.
"It seems impossible, Sir, I'm not the only girl, because Mr. Rumpaka often has relationships with other women as well. Maybe Mr. Dave is wrong," said Sky reassuring the man.
"But you were the only one invited to his apartment, Miss Sky. I am the closest person to him, and it is not easy for Mr. Rumpaka to bring women to his private apartment, except in hotels. That's why I'm surprised when you don't have a romantic relationship, what are you doing in the room?"
Dave lost control when he asked because he was surprised by how different his boss's attitude was, to the point that he had to resist the urge not to touch the woman he was with, even with her answer if the two of them slept separately in different places.
"We didn't do anything, just slept in our respective places. And I will refuse or even maintain my pride if Pak Rumpaka does that. I'm not a woman who is easy to be teased or touched," said Sky candidly, until now she still maintains her honor as a woman, it's not easy for her to give her virginity to a man, especially a man she just met like Rumpaka.
"Well, you are indeed a different woman and very attractive in his eyes until Mr. Rumpaka doesn't want to touch and hurt you, Miss," Dave said again, which made Skyra even more curious and embarrassed herself. There was no way he could easily like her.
"I know what Mr. Rumpaka's attitude is, there are some women who catch his eye and attention, even from them want the man and are willing to do anything to be seen by him, including Nathania and Maurine, his secretary and former lover. Apart from the two women, several women only accompany him without getting love from Mr. Rumpaka. But, all of them never set foot in the man's luxurious apartment. That's why I was very surprised when I found out if Mr. Rumpaka brought a woman there, it means that you are a woman who looks different in my superior's view he doesn't even touch you at all," said Dave at length.
The woman could only be silent to cover her anxiety over the sentence that was uttered by the man, whether to believe it or not. However, remembering every word and attitude from Rumpaka last night regarding feelings and falling in love with him at first sight, honestly makes him weak, even though for now she doesn't want to fall in love first. But, why did the man say things that made him think constantly? It's hard to trust a man like him, a man who has relationships with some women, mainly when these women are only used as a place of satisfaction.
Over time Dave realized his rambling was wide enough that the woman was silent for a long time and must have been thinking about what he said. Dave felt guilty, he first expressed his boss's feelings, and not necessarily what he expected actually happened, maybe Rumpaka's love for a moment and he misunderstood.
"Don't think about what I said earlier, Miss Sky, just think of it as the wind. Focus on your career," concluded Dave because he saw Skyra's silence on his words earlier.
The man turned his car as soon as he arrived at the Realtek Group Company area, Skyra felt really relieved that Rumpaka's help did not make her suspicious of other employees.
Skyra unbuckled her seatbelt and was about to rush out, but the girl glanced at Dave for a moment, looking relaxed and looking like he was about to leave again. She thought if the man was one of the employees here too.
"You're not out, Mr. Dave?"
Dave shook his head slowly. "Not."
"Oh... I guess you are also employees here," said Sky innocently.
"I am only an accomplice to Mr. Rumpaka and not an official employee at his company. Come in immediately, because soon the clock will show at 08.00. You don't want to find Mr. Rumpaka angry again? Or end up being dismissal, because the man won't give him a chance when it comes to the indiscipline of his employees, let alone being late."
Being reminded by the man about office hours, Skyra rushed out and closed the car door pretty hard, but the woman came back because she forgot to thank Dave for dropping her off.
Dave was still watching the fast pace of the woman who almost entered the office with the corners of his lips slightly raised.
"Why do I believe that Mr. Rumpaka likes that woman, maybe because her attitude looks different from most of the women he has been close to," Dave muttered, who began to notice the changes in his superiors. It wasn't long before the man started driving again.
