Marie:"Sebastián who is he and why is Daisy with him?" I had taken Daisy to a few company outings

Me:"Oh that's right you haven't been properly introduced this douche was my only friend and as for the cunt next to him she is my ex-girlfriend who I helped get off the streets before they both decided to screw me over by stealing my appliances and money from my account of course only after they revealed that they were in a relationship on the day I lost my job because of your needl dicked husband"

Adam was utterly furious he had never been so humiliated in his life how dare a lowly minion such as Sebastián insult him but he was a successful business man he couldn't blow up at such obvious and blanton provocation as it was as good as admitting his guilt which if it was just Sebastián it wouldn't have been a problem but because Ai Wu and an unknown woman who seemed to know Daisy which only further hampered his options he needed to reverse his quickly diminishing image especially because Ai Wu was here as he can't approach her in a regular setting as this would be her first impression of him.

Adam:"Sebastián I understand how you must be feeling in this situation, I assure you that none of this was planned it just happened but that is no reason for you to act so immature and throwing a tantrum by spewing vicious insults"

During this whole exchange Daisy just stood there scared because she could no recognize Sebastián as the man she used to know and ashamed as accusations rang true in her mind.

Me:"If you don't like the truth please kindly fuck off I have important business to tend to and it doesn't concern you"

I am doing my best to restrain myself from just using my power to assault Adam and Daisy but because he is higher up the the proverbial totem pole than say Vincent and with money comes power and although he has no direct access to magic, markers had been placed on him by either his friends or his enemies and until I figure out which I cannot afford to cause too much trouble until my business deal with the dark elves is confirmed and I have a clearer picture of the powers that exist here otherwise I'm needlessly putting myself at risk.

Adam:"Fine we will excuse ourselves for the time being hopefully when you have cool head you can think more clearly about this miss Ai Wu I hope that the next time we meet it will be under more pleasant circumstances"

Adam chose to back off as to not appear boorish hoping that he could somehow save face and try to use this incident to reach out to Ai in the future as he is currently regretting tossing Sebastián away too soon just for some ass but doesn't let any of this show on his face as he and Daisy depart.

Me:"With the knob polisher and Daisy gone we have some work to do..."

Ai:"Why didn't you beat them up like you did the short fatty does he have power too?"

Me: *sigh* "No he has tracking spells placed on him didn't either of you that?"

Marie:"I sensed small amount of magic on him I thought it was a low level failed charm device on him" Ai nods in agreement with Marie apparently even their mana senses seem too vague the magic in this world has developed weirdly for my sensibilities

Me:"point is I love me too much to risk my life on him so until I can confidently say that whoever tagged him is no threat to me I won't risk it

Apparently we wasted enough time for the dark elves to finish their interrogation as my cell phone starts ringing I open up my flip phone (That's right the old clam shell) as the girls look at it with open shock and pity as neither seen someone with such an outdated phone it doesn't even have a camera.

Delru:"Good evening Sebastián we have verified the validity of the retribution target and I would like to welcome you as business partner to the dark elves I remember you mentioning something about potions?"

Me:"Yes I would prefer to speak about it face to face if you don't mind"

Delru:"Of course you can come over right now I will always make time for you"

Me:"Alright I will be there in fifteen minutes" then after I hung up I turned to my slaves "come on I have a meeting with the dark elves and you two need to find me a better place to stay than this borderline crack house now that I have a guarantee of income"

Marie:"What kind of budget do you have?"

Me:"Depends what can you two afford?"

Without waiting for them to respond I go upstairs to my room and remove a loose floor board where I used to keep my most valuable possessions which were the watch Adam was so desperate for and an old ring which is covered in writing I still can't read when I was younger I took this ring everywhere to see if someone could translate the text but no one recognized it and some thought it was made up with no special meaning I never showed it to Daisy as I couldn't verify its worth and she had become increasingly difficult to please when were together.

I left to discuss business with the dark elves while I tasked the girls to start scouting new places for me to live as I didn't want to keep running into people I knew before I came back as all of them were pretty shitty to me and quite frankly I was done with that part of my life I no longer cared about pleasing anyone other than myself which is why I decided to work with the dark elves as they are less likely to go against their word than mages and cultivators are too stuck up to listen to anyone other than other cultivators although they have good reason most of the time but even if you ignore that they too restrictive in general unlike the dark elves that only care about results I couldn't go to other groups as they didn't hold enough power what I have planned and I plan on shaking up the foundations of this city.
