Chapter 2

A man wearing a black shirt and jeans with a baseball cap and sunglasses entered a club filled with people grinding against each other and loud music blaring through the building. He ordered a drink as he walked around looking for his target Nick Taylor, who he found drinking with some of his shady friends. As he walked past them, he heard him say " After we broke down the door and entered we took his wife and daughter and restrained them and then took our turn with the wife before we killed her daughter in front of her and then killed her " as he revelled in the sadistic joy of what he did. Unbeknownst to him, this statement he made just pushed The Collective closer to complete destruction. The man who was listening in on their conversation angrily left the club for a smoke in a dark alleyway behind the club while waiting for one of Nick's bodyguards who was his friend from the agency who he worked together with for a long time before the friend betrayed him and sold him to The Collective. As he waited, he remembered the day he met Jessica, his beautiful wife at a coffee shop, and that was the first time after he almost died he felt something for someone. At first, she wasn't interested in him due to the fact she just got out of a messy relationship, but due to how persistent he was, she went on a date, which was the first of many. He also remembered nights when he had trouble sleeping due to the effects of the neurosync she always made sure he slept before she slept. He also remembered the day she told him she was pregnant with his girl Abigail he was very happy because he finally had a family because he never had one because he was always moving from one foster home to another. He was brought out of his daydream when he heard the sound of the back door open, and he saw his first target Austin. He approached Austin and asked for a lighter for the cigarette he wanted to smoke. As Austin brought lighter he punched him in throat as Austin was gasping for his breath he took out a rope and restrained Austin and he put against him a wall and he took out his pocket knife and as he stabbed his thighs Austin screamed but no one could hear due to loud noise around club. "Who are you?" Austin asked in pain. But he didn't answer him and stabbed his other thigh, which made Austin scream again. "Please, who are you?" Austin asked again, and this time, he took off his glasses and said," Hi Austin, miss me. "Jack! H-How are you still alive? I thought you blew yourself up in your house with your wife and child, " Austin said with both fear and surprise . " Well you guys almost killed me the first time and I barely survived and now you guys killed my family so did you guys actually think I won't do anything just because you can't bear to see me happy and now I am going make sure everyone who has a connection to the neurosync projects dies" says Jack as he shot Austin in the head. " Goodbye, old friend," says Jack as he poured sulfuric acid to dissolve the dead body.
