Chapter 1

"If only my head wouldn't hurt so much..", Seohyun groaned as she woke up, in a hospital room, in a lousy hospital gown and walked around, looking for water only to find it on the table next to her bed. She drank some water and sat on the bed, trying to recollect what exactly had happened, and why she was in the hospital. Suddenly, the door opened and there, stood a guy, 6ft tall, falling over his shoulders, looking at her in a condescending manner.

"You almost died this time... Are you growing weaker, lil Sis?"

"Shut up. This is the first time this kind of thing has happened. I don't know why I didn't see it coming.. As we started to leave the monastery,I.. I did.. feel weak...", Seohyun sighed as she got up from the bed and closed the door behind him.

"You're saying.. That maybe the prayers... or the monastery.. They have something to do with your powers? Is that it? It can't be though..", he said looking a bit concerned.

"Xiaoling.. I think it is. Maybe the prayers shouldn't have been left hanging. Konlin... he was the one who shot me.."

"Konlin? He was there? How? Why? He's been our father's friend since.. forever!"

"I know it sounds strange, but-"

Suddenly, loud banging was heard from the door.

"Open up!"

The two siblings looked at each other.

"Xiaoling, they're here."

"Already? Fuck..."

"Xiaoling, do you trust me?", Seohyun looked at him with utmost seriousness.

"Not really, but I haven't got much of choice now, have I?". Both the siblings chuckled as they looked at each other. Without any warning, Seohyun grabbed Xiaoling's hand and ran towards the window. 

"Hey.. What the fuck are you doing? Are you insane!", Xiaoling shouted at Seohyun.

"Just trust me, asshole!"

The door opened and two gigantic men entered with guns in their hand. But before they could shoot, Seohyun broke the window and jumped out, taking Xiaoling with her.

"You bitch, if I die, I'll never forgive you!", Xiaoling screamed as they fell from the 10th floor of the hospital building. However, they started to slow down and landed gently on their feet.

"I can levitate, you lil bitch..", Seohyun spoke, annoyed by the constant screaming of her brother.

"Oh, right.. Sorry.."

"Where's the car?"

"What car?"

"Your car, you fucking..!"

"Oh, right.. yeah it's there..", Xiaoling spoke as he pointed at his car.

"Then what you waiting for, Christmas? Let's go!"

The two ran and got in the car. Xiaoling started to drive, and after sometime, both calmed down.

"You can still levitate.. why couldn't you see yourself getting shot then?"

"Levitation is very simple, plus we jumped from the 10th floor, not the 100th. It only came in my premonition that I'll be in the hospital, not how. Although, I should've been able to.. I don't know..."

"I see.. Then, the main question. Your soul. We need to see what exactly is going on with your soul. This is too strange. You're the strongest, you always have been. But suddenly, you can't even protect yourself from serious harm?"

"I think so too.. But then, we'll have to call Vivi and Eunhyeong."

"And Seongje."

"Why him? You know..'

"I know. But he's also required. And you know that."

"I know.. And what about those guys at the hospital? And the hospital?"

"Don't worry. Leave that work to me."

They both sighed. Seohyun looked out the window.

Seongje.. in the end.. why is it that whatever path or road I take.. leads to you..
