(Rebecca pov)

Ethan "You go search the right side while I take care of searching the right side of the rooms to see if we can find anything of use that the healing is running out on us."

Rebecca "Okay but if you hear any screams I hope you come help me I'm the more vulnerable of the two of us now that the lickers are gone."

Ethan "Good...besides I assure you we'll end up getting out of here...so don't think I'll let anything bad happen to you."

Rebecca "Well I hope you keep your word."

Rebecca had made her way to the right section where there were several rooms that appeared to be open.

"This must be a forgotten area of the lab" Rebecca said as she saw the doors corroded with age.

The moisture had corroded the metal of the doors and thanks to that it was not too difficult to force open the 'wooden door unlike the high security door upstairs.

* punch *

"It's locked" Rebecca complained as she watched tried to turn the door handle.

"I hope there's no one on the other side... "Rebecca commented before kicking the door, which couldn't withstand the blow as the hinges holding the door flew off from the forceful impact of Rebecca's blow.

"What a pain!" spoke Rebecca loudly as she grabbed her leg "I'm out of shape from my cop days" Rebecca complained as she sat down to ease some of the pain in her leg.

Smoke had flooded the room because of the door that had fallen down abruptly, apparently the room had not been used for a long time since the dust had accumulated in excessive proportions.

"This place does need an urgent cleaning" Rebecca spoke as she ran her hand over the dust filled shelves that ended up flooding her hand with a large layer of dust as she touched them.

* sound*

Once she entered the room Rebecca was looking through the drawers "How can there be nothing in here" Rebecca complained as she searched in places like the shelves, under the bed or some hidden place, she was looking for something of importance, but as expected the place she was in was nothing more than a scientist's room which umbrella didn't seem to care about.

The dismal condition of the place was proof of how little importance whoever was under here must have cared, there was very little security unlike the rooms on the upper floors where most scientists stayed.

"Rebecca said to herself as she took a better look around, because if it was seen as a system of class rankings, it could be said that those on the upper floors were upper class and those on the floor where Ethan and Rebecca were currently located would be middle class because although the way they lived did not compare with those on the upper floors, they were still not so low class, as it showed that the bed was comfortable and there were still several pieces of furniture for comfort.

Rebecca "Doesn't that tell us then that there is a section below that could represent the lower class, where possibly more dangerous experiments could have been done?"

Rebecca "I should tell Ethan then...if what I think is true we are in big trouble if we keep going down with the possible creatures that could be below us."

"Ethan we need to talk!"Rebecca shouted as she walked out of the room once she got up from the bed she was sitting on a few seconds ago, but as she was leaving the room she didn't realize she had activated something.

"Ethan! Rebecca shouted again as she felt the room she was in start to shake harder, it felt like a major earthquake as she couldn't move and worse she couldn't walk.

* Sound

The room began to change as Rebecca fell to the floor helplessly unable to get up from the great earthquake that was happening at that moment.

"Ethan! Rebecca shouted again for the last time as she fell through the floor which had been opened by some sort of mechanism that had been activated.

Rebecca ? I scream ?

(Minutes later)

"Rebecca you found something on your side!" said Ethan as he finished searching the rooms where he could only find two green weeds he planned to keep it in case they found any red weeds.

"Rebecca? "Ethan asked again, as he started to look around.

Ethan "Fuck!"

"I thought I had imagined it!"Ethan shouted as he ran off towards the part that had been Rebecca's turn to check.

The corridor full of rooms was in total silence when Ethan tried to concentrate his senses to look for some clues about Rebecca, some footprints or something that could lead him to the place where Rebecca was, but the only thing he found were some footprints that led him to a wall without any path.

"Rebecca answer me!" Ethan shouted again, as he waited for some response from Rebecca, but to no avail he remained in the same place.

* Hit *

Angry and with no other choice, Ethan hit the brick wall that blocked his way, looking for a hidden passageway, he hit it a few times until it broke after several blows he had given but to his disappointment he found nothing inside the room.

* punch *

Ethan He punched the wall again in fury as he searched for something to vent his anger with "I had told her I would come for her when I heard her screams "Ethan spoke as he sat on the floor helplessly.

Rebecca's footprints that were on the floor had been wiped away by the dust and the few that remained told Ethan nothing, who could only see how Rebecca's footprints proved that Rebecca had been walking around looking for something of importance in the room.

Ethan "Where did you go Rebecca?"

(Pov Rebecca)

"My head" Rebecca complained, she had woken up after falling and hitting the ground while suffering from a headache.

"I'm going to get back at Ethan...I've been screaming at the top of my lungs and the man won't even listen to me," Rebecca complained as she stood up.

Rebecca "At least in this place if there is some light to see better."

The room Rebecca was in had apparently answered Rebecca's question, as everything in the place she was in was dilapidated, the metal of the walls was rusted and full of blood, apparently it hadn't been maintained in many years unlike the other floors she had been in.

"Now how am I going to survive alone...I was always with someone to watch my back...but now I find myself all alone "Rebecca said to herself as she looked to the sides with great caution.

She wasn't strong enough like Ethan to survive alone and now she didn'ther mates to watch her back so she was completely helpless.
