"Are you okay?" said Rebecca, as she continued to fire her rifle at the creature, who was attacking Ethan's licker.

"Yeah I'm fine...concentrate on shooting" Ethan said as he stood up from the rubble he was in, his wound had healed so he went back to fighting.

"I need to adjust to fighting" Ethan said to himself as he pulled the ammo out of his backpack to put it in his pockets, he was going to use his pistols from now on since he didn't have too many heals to be wasting them right now either so he better decided on attacking at medium range since the lickers were handling themselves better than him.

The lickers who had enclosed the creature in a more enclosed area were now jumping from place to place as they began to cut the creature, who was more still than before because of the tentacles it was adapting to.

*BOOOM* *BOOOM*

Gunshots echoed throughout the place again, as Ethan fired at full speed Asia the still creature's body, but to his disappointment the tentacles began to block the bullet, as the creature began to awaken from its moment of calm.

♪ Roar ♪

The creature began to scream, while it expanded its tentacles like spikes in a wide range destroying everything, Ethan barely managed to dodge it, now the roles were reversed and it was no longer beneficial for them to stay in an enclosed area, so Ethan ordered his pets to leave the area they were in at full speed.

♪ Roar ♪

The licker that Ethan had sent to take Rebecca to a better place wanted to take part in the battle, but Ethan wouldn't let him since he had to protect Rebecca now more than ever.

* sound * * sound * * sound * * sound *

Several sounds caught Ethan's attention as he turned around to see that many zombies were coming from the entrance and among them were some mutated ones.

"No way..." said Ethan as he stepped back to dodge a tentacle coming towards him.

* Sound * * sound *

The sounds belonging to the zombies, began to flood the whole place causing everything to shake from the large crowd of zombies coming.

The ground began to shake harder as the zombies and the shots that had been fired on the floor began to destabilize the ground, cracks were not long in coming as the metal platform that was in place of the floor, began to shatter like glass as it failed to withstand the weight of it all.

♪ I scream ♪

Rebecca began to scream as the place she was standing on began to fall down along with the entire platform to who knows where.

As Rebecca was about to fall with all the debris she was barely rescued by Ethan's licker who stretched out his tongue and caught Rebecca before placing it on her back.

The large size of Ethan's licker helped him walk through the falling debris pushing him one by one, as he sought to fall safely.

"Shit everything is falling" Ethan said as he started jumping through the debris along with the more agile and aerodynamic creatures that were there to save themselves as it seemed falling to the ground with the speed they were falling would turn anyone to mush causing instant death.

♪ I scream ♪

The creature who was the one who started screaming was the first to save himself as he released all his tentacles and stayed impaled on the walls avoiding falling into the void where all the debris was falling.

Ethan who saw everything that was going on and the disadvantage they had on the new terrain, better decided to go down with all the lickers and Rebecca who was on the back of one of his lickers towards the end of the new path that originated from the fall of everything.

"Where are we headed?" Rebecca said as she recovered from her near death if not for Ethan's licker.

"We have to go down...we're out of bullets so we should look for more bullets and see if we can find another way out of this lab "Ethan replied as he continued on his way to get some rest as his body was at its limit thanks to the change his body had to make to keep up with the speed of the creature he had faced.

*sigh*

"Apparently some more quiet" Ethan said as he calmed down from the battle he had, the bullets he had left in his guns were still a decent amount, but he knew Rebecca was almost out of bullets so right now she was the most vulnerable of all, so he was thankful this was all over or they would be lost without the assistance of Rebecca who had saved Ethan's licker's lives many times.

"How long do you think it will take us to get down?" Rebecca tried to ask but was interrupted when a normal licker very different from the licker Ethan had with jump in front of Ethan to peel him off the wall causing them both to fall.

"Get off of me!" Ethan tried to get the licker off of him, but the licker had a tight grip on him and he couldn't get out of its grasp, in the struggle attempt the licker's claws began to enter Ethan's skin reaching the dangerous area where Ethan's organs were.

"! Let go of me creature! " Ethan shouted as he felt his death closing in on him.

♪ Squeal ♪

The licker grabbed his claws and tongue to enter in an attempt to commit suicide next to Ethan something that took Ethan by surprise "How can it be that this licker is trying to commit suicide with me? "Ethan said to himself as he saw the strange behavior of the licker.

With no escape option, Ethan's hopes of survival began to fade, but three tongues grabbed him to stop him dead in mid-air.

Ethan's body was being torn in two when his pets grabbed him by the waist.

"Thanks guys" Ethan said as he started kicking the licker who was starting to climb up to attack Ethan.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

The licker wouldn't give up, but luckily Rebecca's shots to the licker's body distracted him long enough for Ethan to pull one of his arms out of the licker's tight grip and then slice off the licker's head with his claws.

Breathing sound

Ethan's erratic breathing was still being followed as he still contemplated his near death by a single licker who nearly sent him crashing to the ground.

"Look we're getting to the end of this endless hole!" Rebecca's voice snapped Ethan out of his daze who was being carried by two lickers who wouldn't let go at any time.

"Thanks kid...really without any of you I would have died in there" Ethan said as he wholeheartedly thanked his pets and Rebecca who got off the licker's back as they climbed down and hit the ground.

Rebecca "Yes, you'll thank me later...now we must know where we are, because if in the upper layer, which is where there should be more security, there were those beings, I don't want to imagine what will be in this place".

They had arrived in an unknown area and nothing was known, only that it was completely silent.
