Chapter 82

Everything was planned, Rebecca was going to be the one attacking from a distance while Ethan and his pet lickers would engage in melee.

We were at the place where we had confronted the Great Fiambre, apparently it had stayed there when it had become too big to pass through the corridors.

"Do you think if we attack him from the back of the corridors we can win since he won't be able to get in much? "Rebecca said as she looked at the Great Stingray who was standing idle in the middle of the entire facility.

"We can use it as a last resort, in case we can't beat it" ethan said as he prepared to jump up and get the Great Fiambre attention so it wouldn't end up going for Rebecca who wasn't quick enough to escape if she was attacked.

"I'll be attacking from a medium distance until my rifle runs out" Rebecca said as she watched ethan jump.

Ethan ran out while he had with him his lickers who followed him at full speed, "The second round of our battle is here" said Ethan as he ran out at full speed to cut the big stiff who was distracted combining with more bodies apparently.

Ethan's claws grew as large as his licker's, as he went out to attack in tandem at high speed.

In a horizontal slash Ethan managed to cut off one of the stiff's arms, thus detaching it from the body of the big stiff, his lickers didn't stay the same when they began to tear the body of the big stiff.

"Something is going on here...it's very easy the way we are beating the big stiff" Ethan said as he watched the bullets fired by Rebecca do great damage to the stiff.

"Rebecca stop!" said ethan as he backed up next to his lickers.

It was at that moment that everything was witnessed, the body of the large stiff began to grow before exploding into many fragments of flesh and organs.

"What happened here" Ethan wondered again, as he saw the pieces of the large stiff begin to fall to the ground bathing him in his blood.

* Baby laughs *

Baby laughter caught Ethan's attention, as he watched a dog-sized figure begin to grow from the remains of the large stiff.

The figure was disgusting, it looked like a child with multiple eyes, it was like a mix between the big stiff and the baby that Ethan had found dead in the corridors near the artificial intelligence.

The putrid smell began to fill the area, as thick smoke billowed from the creature's body before it went down on two legs.

"Rebecca use the rifle...don't come any closer! " shouted Ethan before being slashed across his chest by the claws of the creature, who began to laugh creepily.

"That creature ate the big stiff..." Ethan said remembering the baby laughter he had felt when they were escaping from the big stiff.

Apparently whatever it had been that was in the car area of the lab had eaten him big stiff and was now much more dangerous than Ethan had felt.

"Ethan are you alright!"Rebecca shouted as she shot at the creature they knew nothing about, causing it to recoil.

"Yeah I'm fine" Ethan replied getting up, the wound was healing slowly, his healing factor apparently had improved a bit as the poison he had felt was the same one the big stiff had used and now it hadn't knocked him out of one.

"That thing assimilates the abilities of any zombie it eats...it's very different from the big stiff that assimilates the mass of its victims...it's much more dangerous" Ethan said as he ran off with his lickers.

Ethan "Laika you're the leader attack"

The shrieks of the lickers were heard when they came out to attack, Ethan didn't have to coordinate them anymore so they only depended on their instincts.

Now that Ethan didn't have to take care of them he could go more freely, so he ran off again to catch up with the bio-weapon.

"Shit!" frustrated Ethan as he couldn't reach the creature who only seemed to be playing with him and in an oversight he was headbutted in the stomach by the creature who threw him into the wall.

Using the creature's jump the 3 lickers ran out while jumping on top of the creature to start biting it, but they started to get sucked into the creature's body.

"Rebecca shoot the creature" shouted ethan as he watched the creature want to absorb the 3 lickers.

The shot came out at full speed, as the creature cleared the licker to get out of range of the bullet's trajectory and went running for Rebecca.

"I'm not going to let you" Ethan said before taking off his shoes to let his nails grow into claws a little smaller than the licker's.

Now with his claws Ethan got more stability so putting all the strength in his arms he ran a little slower than the creature, who in one leap went for Rebecca who was on top.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

Ethan hadn't had the strength in his arms, so he fired with his pistols as he fell, the while it was weaker than the rifle it still generated a loud popping sound that drew the attention of the creature who ended up being pierced by two bullets directly into its body.

"Pongo go get Rebecca and let her get on your back so you can take her away from the area she is in so she can keep shooting" At ethan's orders his licker named pongo took off at full speed as he climbed up the pipes to where rebecca was.

On the other hand the creature fell to the ground once it fell to the ground the atmosphere became calm, the tension began to release from ethan's body as he fixed all his attention on the creature in front of him.

*sigh*

The creature's body started moving again, so ethan went running with his two lickers that were with him, he had already put away his pistols as he didn't have time to load them so the bullets he had in each pistol were precious.

The creature's body began to move slowly, revealing the large holes made by the bullets Ethan had fired.

* Grunt*

♪ Roar ♪

The baby laughter had already disappeared when a roar began to be heard everywhere.

Ethan ignoring the creature's scream brought his claws together to stab the creature in the head, but he didn't imagine that several tentacles would come out of the holes that the bullet had made in the creature and he ended up impaled.

Blood began to spurt out of Ethan's body, when he had apparently been a victim of the creature's vengeance, as he had the wound similar to that of the biological weapon.

* Grunt*

The lickers protected Ethan's body, as they began to jump through the pairs dodging the tentacles.

"¡Ethan!" Rebecca's shout could be heard in the background.

"Going through the same thing what a coincidence...but I'm prepared" Ethan said as he placed the medicinal plants on his wound so that it would begin to close quickly.
