Chapter 78:

The baby plains had ended the moment Ethan sped away from the section of the lab where it was believed to be what was needed to finish off the bio-weapon that Ethan had been confronted with earlier who he couldn't finish off and could only run away.

"Things couldn't get any worse "Rebecca complained as she sat down on the floor now that she had gotten off Ethan's back.

Rebecca was frustrated, for if that wasn't enough they now had to face a much more terrifying monster they were running away from.

Ethan "I can't fight with my fists...Rebecca I'm going to need weapons...I thought now that I was this strong I wouldn't need anything more than my brute strength but I was completely wrong."

"For your bad luck we don't know where we can find weapons for these monsters we just found" replied Rebecca to Ethan causing the mood to drop even more.

Rebecca "Now what can we do...I can't think of anything we can do to take out one of the two bioweapons at least to feel safer."

Rebecca had trusted Ethan because she believed he would be strong enough to protect her, but she didn't know enough about the danger that umbrella had caused.

"We'll think of something...we should go "Ethan said as he grabbed Rebecca to get her on his back, they had to get out of that place as fast as possible.

"I'm not a girl for you to carry! " Rebecca complained again as she was once again being carried by Ethan.

"We need to get out of here fast and if I have to wait for you we'll take longer, "Ethan said refuting Rebecca's tantrum.

Ethan "Once we're in a calmer environment we figure out a way to take down the big guy that's following us...since he's the easiest one I felt."

Ethan continued to run through the corridors of the lab in a random fashion, as he sought to get as far away from the roar as he could, to be calmer.

"We'll be quieter here "Ethan said as they entered a small room where some papers sat on a table next to a laptop.

"Apparently this is one of the rooms of one of the scientists, "Rebecca said as she sat down in the chair.

The lickers who were still following me had entered the room and were hanging on the ceiling so as not to disturb me.

"You guys are the best," Ethan said as he looked up at his pet lickers who were hanging from the ceiling.

"You were able to decipher something from that laptop, "Ethan said as he walked over to where Rebecca was standing who was trying to get into the laptop.

"I'll be about 30 minutes or so," Rebecca replied as she concentrated on the laptop.

"Guys I want you to protect Rebecca while I go out and see if I can find anything useful "Ethan said as he watched the lickers nod in affirmation.

Since Ethan didn't have much time, he decided to run around, while looking for something that would be useful in the future like the item Rebecca had used on him to heal him.

"From what I understand that item was something to heal...so it should be in the medical area...so I should look somewhere where there are zombie's in medical suits "after deciding what he would do Ethan pulled out his claws as he ran off killing zombies.

"Now that I think about it if a zombie bites me I'll turn into one or I'm immune...I better not try it "After thinking better about what had gone through his head Ethan began to fight with more caution, since he had only one life and if he turned he didn't want to leave Rebecca alone since he had promised her he would return and he didn't want to leave alone his pets who were by his side almost all the time he was in the lab.

It had been over 5 minutes in which Ethan had run through the halls killing and crushing the head of every zombie he had encountered in his path, but he hadn't encountered a single zombie wearing a nurse's gown.

"This is frustrating! " Ethan said to himself angrily, as the headache returned, it was already becoming irritating for Ethan, who was holding his head showing a grimace of pain.

"What is that...? "Ethan had managed to catch a glimpse of the body of a zombie in a robe on the ground, it was trapped between many zombie bodies, hinting that someone had killed it before, possibly being either Rebecca when she passed by with her companions or her companions who must have passed by not too long ago.

Ethan seeing the direction of where the zombie in scrubs had ended up dead, ran off down the hallway where he was, he still had a few more minutes left before he had to go to Rebecca, so he ran off at full speed while slicing the zombies head off.

"It took me a long time...but I finally found you now I just hope you have something," Ethan said as he stood in front of one of the medical rooms that would be in the lab.

The sound of a bullet echoed in the room once Ethan entered "Every time I enter a place where there is a person I will always be greeted by a gunshot," Ethan said as he continued to enter the infirmary room.

When he entered the room Ethan was met by a girl with short black hair wearing a lab coat, once he saw her the image of someone flashed through Ethan's head but he pushed it aside as he approached the woman who was still holding the gun in her hand.

It was obvious that he had experience handling weapons as he didn't even flinch after shooting Ethan "I see there was someone else here...don't worry I'll grab some things I need and get out of here "Ethan said as he passed by the girl who was standing still thinking about something.

The room of the infirmary apparently had some interesting things, one of them was a great variety of green, red and blue plants that were in a small place away from everything inside a machine that apparently was in charge of preserving them well.

"You're going to take some of this stuff with you "Ethan said bringing the girl out of her reverie who saw what Ethan was pointing to, which was a group of plants.

"Don't worry I won't need any of this...all I was doing here was hiding for the moment, while I got some rest," the girl said as she walked out of the room leaving Ethan alone.

"Don't even ask her name "after the girl left Ethan decided to continue seeing what was in the room.

N/A: What bad luck...when I was writing the chapter the power went out in my house so I had to give the chapter an ending similar to the one I hadmade.
