Remnant: A Battle Within

“Don’t close your eyes or you all might miss the destruction of the world you cherished the most,” a seductive and cold voice echoed through the dark prison where captives were being kept. The sound of unhurried footsteps on the stone pavement reverberated like a countdown to the world destruction. After the stars fell, the world of Prism was plunged into uncertainty and was in the verge of destruction because of a threat still unknown to its inhabitants. Powers started to manifest, a war that was brewing on the horizon and a threat moving in the shadows, these events will either break or create the world anew. And now fallen from grace, Orion must now come to terms with the chaos that was about to begin. Secrets of how it all began will be revealed. Schemes had been executed. Kingdoms had started to fall. But nothing is what it seems in a world where the known became unknown. Fate will continue its course and it doesn’t matter whether he likes it or not. Will the hero appear or will the villain prevail? ---- P.S. I uploaded a new cover what do you think of it? Join me in my first ever novel here on Webnovel. Heartfelt

Before they could leave, the inn was suddenly flooded with military personnel and wit some onlookers who wanted to know what was happening. "Good day sir, how may I help you?" the person beyond the counter asked politely.

"Where are the people who checked in here yesterday?" one of the men asked while he was casually looking around.

Not wanting to offend these people the owner of the inn once again politely answered, "they left this morning and I haven't seen them return yet."

The man who asked gestured for the other officers with him to go up and check each room. The owner was offended but he still remained calm and once again asked, "what might be the problem officer?" Those guests had given him a generous amount of money, so he might as well defend them.

"We received a report that one of them attempted to hurt someone and a witness told us that he saw those people coming to this inn," the officer answered and did not give the owner anymore attention.
