Chapter 37 (extra chapter): Reyna

I'm Reyna.

I don't know anything about my parents or their existence.

My childhood was not like how a normal child would spend their childhood.

Alone, hungry, pain, humiliation, suffering…

When I was about five, someone offered me food and talked about adopting me into their family.

He was good looking man and it was first time that someone talked about adopting me so I was really happy and got thrilled.

And I thought about my fate being changed but the moment I thought about it I suddenly felt sleepy and my body getting weakened as my vision slowly turned blurry, darkness completely engulfed me and the last thing I perceived before losing my consciousness was someone's breath and being in a person's arm.

When I woke up I found myself in unfamiliar place. My hands and legs both were fastened by rope.

"Huh? Are you kidding me? Only fifteen gold coin."

I heard the same voice which I heard before losing my conscious.

I looked and that voice seemed to that person who said about giving me a thing called home by making me one of his family.

But why are my hands tied and my legs too and where is this place?

I observed my surroundings.

I saw five children like me near to the door which was on my left side.

My exact location was exactly opposite to them.

They seemed sad and anxious.

"C'mon at least give me five more gold coins."

"Ten gold coin, that's final."

"Fine fine, I'm good with fifteen."

There are children like me tied with rope. And the person who talked about adopting me is talking about money.

So I am getting adopted or sold to that scary person behind that desk.

They are talking about money so I'm really getting sold to him.

I thought he's going to adopt me but actually he's not, instead he took me after offering me food mixed with something that made me lose my consciousness.

He used his good looks to earn my trust and sold me off here.

I got seriously angry.

I'm real angry right now. If I could I want to takeout his bones and crack into pieces fed them to him.

But I'm powerless, hopeless… there's nothing I can do. It was mistake to think that my fate was about to change. If I could do magical stuff, I would have never faced this situation.

It's better to be here than outside. I lost my freedom but At least I can get food as to fill my stomach. Someone to talk about stuff and someone to call friends.

I looked towards other children.

Ah… why was I born anyway? Is my fate to suffer endlessly till the day I die? If so then I just want to die to end my suffering.

I moved my hand to wipe away my tears.

I realized that I can undo or cut the rope with my teeth.

They're taking about their stuff, yes, make sure to not to get noticed by them. Now tear the rope apart with your teeth.

I thought of searching for the knot.

Great. Don't panic and calm down. First undo the knot next undo the feet and make good use the exit door to runaway from here.

I open the knot with my teeth and was time for my legs.

Good, they don't seem to notice me.

I happened to turn towards other children.

They seemed watching me for a while.

They're unlucky that their hands were tied not with rope like mine but with chain.

I turned my attention towards my feet as to unfasten the knot.

I am getting nervous because of them. If they make noises, those two men are definitely going to notice me. They better shut up and keep quite.

But why should they do such thing like saying that I'm trying run away.

If there's someone who gets jealous because of me leaving then she or he'll definitely attract their attention by saying something.

I was getting more nervous about thinking about it.

I opened the door as to make a run for it.

The door made noise which make the frightening looking guy to say welcome but they noticed me.

I moved really fast as to get outside through the door and pushed the door back.

"Wait, where the kid?"

"Huh?"

"Give me back my fifteen gold."

"Damn it."

As I ran I heard.

While observing my surroundings my eye met with a young boy with wooden sword on his hand.

"Wait, you damn brat."

As I heard that I turned left.

I ran through ally to ally with the intention of losing his tail.

After running for some time I finally stopped as to catch my breath somewhere in the ally.

"Huff, huff…"

I was breathing like crazy.

That kid was cute. I don't know why he was with sword sitting front of small stall at the opposite side of the road facing towards me.

His looks was really attractive. I bet he have friends unlike me who don't even have someone to call friend not even animal like cat or dog.

I eat leftovers left for animals. I'm dirty and smell bad.

I can't think off becoming friend with him.

Befriending with him is just a dream. But I can make myself better and request him to be my friend.

But for that I need to be neat and clean, smell good and look cute which is not going to happen in reality.

I hope that I lost him.

I heard someone running towards here.

"Damn it, where did that kid go?"

He's approaching here.

What should I do now?

If I run he's definitely going to notice me and pursue after me since there's only two ally. One is the one which is directly in front of the ally he is coming.

He's this near already.

I took a glance at him.

I've to run no matter what. There's no extra choice.

I saw the same kid I saw earlier coming from the direction I was facing.

"Hey kid? You there, did you see a kid running?"

I signaled him with my head, hands, body as to not to tell him about me.

"Kid? What characteristics?"

"Green colored hair."

"Oh, she, I just saw her running really fast. If you start running now you'll catch her, I think."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, so you better start running if you really want to catch him."

I'm saved but why isn't he running but instead walking.

He supposed to be start running after hearing that kid.

"By the way kid are you hungry? I've got something testy. I'll give it to you since you helped me."

I turned my head left and right as to make the kid cautious about him.

And do a little act about what will happen if he ate it.

"I'm glad to receive that but my parents taught me to not to eat stuff given by stranger even if you're really hungry."

The kid come closer to me with smile on his place. He seemed fully cautious about his surroundings.

"Oh, you're pretty smart don't you unlike the one I was pursuing."

His voice come closer and closer to me.

"So kid, why don't you help me find the running kid. I'll play you well."

"Oh, you're going to pay, really?"

As the kid looked at me I moved my head left right accompanied by my hand.

"Yeah so why don't you hand over the kid your protecting?"

"Protecting? What are you talking about?"

"Yes, the one standing right in front of you."

I nodded my head left and right.

"No, I don't see anyone here besides a good looking man with bad intentions and an empty stone wall."

"You think I look good?"

"Yeah, so why don't you back off and leave the girl alone? I can spear destroying your handsome face."

"Hm… you do have balls to talk like that."

"Yeah because I'm I am."
