But it's cheating to use magic just to enhance sword skills.

Wait, can I use my mana energy to flow it around my sword and alter its characteristics like making it very sharp and light or durable?

Hm… is it doable?

If it's possible then I could alter and change its characteristics to adapt certain situations like if there's a hard thing to cut then I can make it very sharp and durable in order to cut it.

Basically I can make it flexible just like water.

I stopped swinging and started looking at my sword.

How am I going to transfer my mana to my sword?

That's right, I just have to concentrate on my mana energy and try to flow it throughout my body to the sword continuously.

No it doesn't make sense. How by just doing it can change its characteristics?

As I closed my eyes I held my sword with my right hand and started concentrating on my mana energy.

I felt the mana gathering in hand even though I was holding sword.

Since I wasn't going to use mana in order to cast magic I just felt pressure or sensation of it accumulating in my hand.

'But how should I transfer the mana energy to the sword?' was the question in my mind.

Then I suddenly felt the sensation in my hand caused by accumulation of mana abating.

Right after that I stopped because I heard cracking noise.

I looked around there's was no one but my friend who turned away her eyes from me to water the moment I looked at her.

Then I started observing my sword.

It seemed that the cracking noise was coming from the wooden sword that I was holding.

So it started cracking because of what?

Is it because my wooden sword is too weak to hold mana?

Or is it because my mana caused too much pressure so that it cracked?

If so did I managed to transfer my mana into my sword?

That's right, I can store no more than one liter water in one liter bottle. And if I try to store more the water just falls off from it.

So my sword reached its limit and it cracked due to that mana energy got out of it through the cracks or my mana only gathered and didn't flow in loop.

And that's why my sword cracked.

That explains the fact but I can be wrong.

By the way to stop the cracking of the sword I need to find a way to absorb my mana back into my body.

But how?

To get my mana flow back to my body I need to use my other hand that way it will follow through my right hand from my body to the sword to my left hand to back to my body in a loop.

Like blood flows throughout my body continuously.

Even if I got successful on that how am I going to use my mana to alter its characteristics, huh?

I think its possible but I don't know how am I going to do it. For now I'm gonna just experiment if my mana travel back to my body from sword.

As I started concentrating on my mana I held my sword in a way that a samurai would hold as if ready to strike or block or attack.

This time I didn't heard cracking noise.

I felt my mana flowing throughout my body to sword to back to my body.

I opened my eyes and started observing the sword.

So my theory about it was right.

But how can I make if flow throughout my sword back and forth in a loop without letting it to return back to my body?

I got it.

I just have to make it flow around my sword without letting it to get absorb by the sword.

Make it flow, don't let it get absorb.

But how?

How am I going to know if it's flowing through it without getting absorb by it?

On top of that did I really succeeded back then?

I don't think so.

I think the mana just got transferred into my left hand from my right hand without flowing through the sword.

I can't see if it's flowing or not because it's not visible.

How can I make it visible?

Wait, can I turned my mana into water and make the water flow though sword?

If I use magic to change my mana energy into water before it reaches and starts flowing through my sword then I can see if its flowing outside or inside.

Nope that's not right.

I have to change my mana into water as it flows on it.

Making my mana flow through something and changing it to something like water, but is it even possible?

Guess, I just have to try if it's possible or not.

I concentrated my mana and let it flowed through my sword as I imagined water flowing throughout it.

I don't think it's going to work.

As I stop concentrating and was about to open my eyes I saw vision of a line appearing in my head.

I opened my eyes afterwards.

"Woah…!"

What I saw was marvelous.

Water was flowing throughout my sword in a loop.

So my mana first starts flowing throughout my sword. After that it starts turning into water from engraving point and it continues to turn and flow throughout back edge to the tip to front edge to back to the engraving point.

At engraving point my mana seems to turn into water and turn back to my mana.

I was also feeling the sensation of something getting absorbed by my left hand.

"It looks cool."

It's turning into mana and flowing back to my body.

And what about the vision, I'm still seeing it.

Maybe the vision is the result of success and the sensation is due to the fact that my left hand is absorbing mana.

I also see the same vision while guiding water ball or snowball.

What if I take off my one hand, either left or right?

Only way to find about is to see it by myself.

"Let's see what happens."

I took off my left hand from the sword.

"Wow…"

"The water seems to follow everywhere I take my hand."

The water was coming towards my left hand from the point I grabbed it earlier and and on the process I noticed the droplets of water dropping on the ground as water reached my hand to turned back to mana as to get absorbed by my hand.

The sensation on my left hand started to fade away and afterwards completely vanished, water that was flowing on my sword fall on to the ground as a result damping it and the line I was seeing just broke and disappeared from my head.

I thought of repeating.

After doing the same thing multiple times I realized I was correct about the vision and my left hand absorbing mana.

Then I thought of something like making stream of water between my hand.

"It'll look interesting, won't it? Water appearing on my right hand and disappearing as it reaches my left hand continuously."

First I've to make my mana flow between my right to left hand and turn it into water as it flows.

If I got successful I'll see the vision of the line inside my head.

Let's call it a link from now on.

I felt the sensation of mana gathering on my right hand's palm.

As I took my left hand near to my right hand, I began to feel the sensation of mana absorbing on my left hand and the link appeared in my head.

My mana is flowing between my hands. Now it's time to turned it into water.

"Oh… wow."

It is doable.

Guess I'll continue researching.

But what should I do next?

I thought for a second.

Can I attack with my sword while water flowing though it?

It's worth a shot.

I swung the sword lightly toward river as water was flowing through it.

"What?"

The water flew alway with great speed the moment I swung the sword which cause river's water to pushed away as a result my friend got shocked.

The impact was so powerful the calmed river got I calmed.

I looked towards my friend and smiled.

She smiled back.

"I'm sorry if I disturb your enjoyment. I wasn't expecting it to do that."

I yelled.

I stopped playing with my sword and made a structure as to see how much damage will the water do to it.

Then I swung the sword toward the structure after flowing water through it.

I swung my sword in a way that as if it's going to slice the wall in a half.

The water went flying towards it and as it touched the structure, water disappeared on a split-second and the structure split in half.

"What?"

"This is dangerous."

"Hope the first swing didn't do much damage to the river."

I thought of testing its power.

I created two dummy by using earth magic.

I wanted to see if one swing is enough to cut through two objects.
