10th Wing

“We need to make a move now,” her voice rasped. But Solas gently shook her head in decline.

“I don't have much time,”

“No...you will live,”

“It's okay, Cassiun I know this is hard but I want to to do one more thing for me,”

Suddenly the floor lit up and a pentagram slowly took shape from the spilled blood. Cassiun's sobbing grew louder as she realized what was going on.

“Don't do this, there's must be another way,” she pleaded.

“No, this is the only way to keep everyone save,” Solas glance at me.

“What about Arakiel?” Cassiun whispered.

“He will be okay if I were to live, father's plan will kill everyone.”

“What do you mean?”

“Cassiun look closely to all the marking on me,” a sharp gasp was the only response Cassiun could mutter after she examined the carving closely.

“Why you? What do you have to do with Lucifer?” I felt Araxiel moving closer to me and cling to my side.

“Father was Lucifer's lover, that's why he wanted to bring him back here,” Solas breathing was getting faster.

“He used me as the sacrifice to summon him...” she started to pant heavily as if her soul is being sucked out.

“Hurry Cassiun, take what's left of my soul and take it to earth, take Arakiel too,” as soon she finished the room started to shake and we were engulfed in blanked darkness.

“Kiel what's happening,” Araxiel started to panic.

“I don't know,” I pulled him into a hug.

A small opening appeared in front of us showing a new scene. It was night and we were no longer in Eden. Somehow I think I've seen this place before.

“Kiel, this is our home” a loud wailing caught our attention.

We followed the cries and a familiar silhouette greeted us. It seems like Cassiun was holding something and it was the source of the sound. As she turned around we could see two bundles of cloth moving in her arms.

“Shhh...it's okay, you're both are safe now,” she whispered as she placed the two bundles under the oak tree.

“Arakiel, I don't know why you were turned into an infant but, please take care of Solas from now on,” she moved to the baby on the right and kiss his temple softly as tears started running down her face.

“Solas I'm sorry, I could have saved you if I knew sooner,” she unclasped the crystal vile and place it around Solas.

My heart started to twist painfully and I could feel that my control was started to slip.

“Kiel, no....you can't,” Araxiel's cool hands hold my face.

I steered my eyes to him and sure enough, he was scared.

“Please don't do this...come back to me,” he whispered against my lips before giving me a soft kiss.

I took a deep breath and count to ten. It helps a little, but I guess Xiel still felt my anger as he pressed his lips more firmly against mine.

“Cassiun!!” father's voice broke our kiss.

We searched for his figure and finally spotted him. He was wedged between the thick bush by the oak tree. Cassiun stood up and hugged him.

“What happened?” He stroked her hair trying to calm her down.

The still sobbing Cassiun told father the whole thing. He quickly picked up the babies and walked to the cave with Cassiun by his side. Once inside, one of the warriors shut the opening. Father sat by the fire and called the elders. He asked Cassiun to retold the story.

“So what should we do now?” Edmund was the first to voice out.

“We can't keep them together here, if they know we have Solas they surely hunt us down,” the others started to murmur.

Some were agreeing with Edmund and some were against him.

“I will keep them, they are my children now,” dad's voice boomed. That totally shuts them up.

“I will raise both Arakiel and Solas.” he looked at each of the elders before continuing.

“Arakiel will still be Arakiel but Solas will be known as Araxiel from now, he is a boy but I can still sense the Eve part in him,” that he dismissed the discussion.

We followed father further into the cave. He's still carrying both of us. He stopped and placed me down. He drew an angelic rune of memory and erase it on my forehead with the red clay from the cave floor. He took a step back with Araxiel in his arms.

“Mater tenebras, et Pater amat obscurum, lux filii, filiea vero; ego Dagon Lycaon interrogabo vos et celare veritatem, concatenata in memoriam in conspectu dei filius sum, Arakiel Wolftik.” (Mother of darkness, father of shadows, sons of light, daughter of truth; I Dagon Lycaon ask you to conceal the truth, chain the memories of the son that I'm offering, Arakiel Wolfrik.)

“ I'm sorry, but this is what I had to do to protect both of you until the time comes,” Araxiel started to cry as if he felt lost.

Father placed Araxiel beside me and shifted into a Grey wolf. He lay down and pulled us close to him letting his warmth lulled us to sleep.

“I guess that's the point when our family took the wolf form,” Araxiel smiled at our sleeping form.

“Yeah, hey...” I turned Araxiel so we were facing each other.

“Listen, I don't care whether you are a male or female, or you were Solas in the past, I love you for who you are, which is my Araxiel,” he smiled before leaning in and pressed his soft lips onto mine.

I wouldn't get tired of his kisses. They felt so good and it gave warmth to my heart. I traced his lips with my tongue which he gladly opens up. Our tongue collided and sparks flew everywhere. He pulled me closed until our chest touched.

“Ahem, sorry to interrupt your moment but...” Our eyes widen at the voice and Araxiel immediately detached himself from me.

“Glad to have your attention, welcome back,” father said with a teasing smile.

“Glad to see you too father,” my voice went off the pitch as that's not was not embarrassing enough.

I heard a little chuckling to my right. Sure enough, Araxiel was trying to hold his laughter. His face and ears were still red from embarrassment from before. I cast my glance around the chamber and the amused faces of the elders greeted me back. I guessed that this sort of PDA was nothing new for them.

“So...” father was back in his seat and had his serious look once more.

“Did you get what you are looking for?” I looked at Araxiel and both of us nodded with an unpleasant feeling boiling up at the pit of our heart.

“I can't understand why you had to seal off my power and memories,” I voiced out.
