Reincarnation; The Tale of Anansi

Reincarnated to gain karma, read as the protagonist's story unfolds... ..... I am writing this story as I go, and fyi, I have never written a story before. Don't expect me to be very consistent, I am not even an author, I'm bored and somehow was just imagining things. Now here I am, typing what comes to my head. *The cover is not mine, typical stuff* Bye:)

A new Home??

After a bit of contemplation, Anansi decided that he would first explore his surroundings so that he could make other plans other than finding a place to stay.

"Jesus, these mosquitoes are killing me". This was something he did not think of, he had been to Jamaica before, where he had his fair share of experience with mosquitos, but this place had too much.

He was taking his time to explore his surroundings in hopes of finding somewhere suitable to stay, possibly for an extended period of time. He also wanted to be able to access water without too much hassle.

'If this is a tropical area it should be easy to find a cave, I just need it to be near water'.

While exploring he was observing everything he could to find any obvious anomalies, after all he was in another world.

Just like the majority of Earth's teenager's, he didn't know a lot about survival in the wild, but he did watch a few videos on certain platforms about wild survival, so he was confident he wouldn't die if he used his head.

When he noticed that there was a tree that he recognized, or it just looked like the tree he saw in one of the survival vids he watched, he immediately went in that direction.

looking at the tree infront of him, he clumsily used one of his spider legs to cut into the bark which to his delight was soft.

He recognized the tree but didn't remember it's name, what he did know however was that the bark of said tree could be used to create ropes if you knew how to.

He cut long rectangular strips of bark off the tree before continuing on his naked journey.

Back to walking, after a few hours he found a small stream that after confirming that there were a few and bugs inside he took a dink and rested for a while.

In the few hours that he was walking for, he passed a few wild hogs that he was sure would become useful later so he noted where he saw them on his map as a marker.

After resting he marked the stream on the map and then began searching the general area for any caves.

He first searched the nearby hill since it was most suitable for a cave in his opinion and all the stories he had read. To his luck he found a small cave entrance hidden behind some bushes at a more rocky area of the hill.

After ducking his head bending over, he entered the cave swatting away a few spider webs, after a few meters of crouch walking, he found a more spacious cave that looked big enough to be comfortable, just needed a crap ton of work done.

He had to get rid of all the bugs and lizards that were taking residence in the cave. 'Pretty sure I saw a centipede somewhere as well'.

He then spent the rest of his day cleaning out the cave using sticks as makeshift shovels and held a few bushes he cut as a broom.

He then carried a lot of dry sticks and twigs into the cave along with the leaves of trees inside the cave. He was planning on making a makeshift bed and lighting a fire before the day ended.

For now though he just finished creating his bed and sat down on it resting his back against the cave wall.

"This is going to be my new home I guess"

Now that I realize this story is going to take a lot of time for new chapters to release, and the chapters are not going to be long...
