The Generous Hua Jun

"Uncle Hua, I don't really need anything. Like I said, I see them as my sisters and like any brother out there wish for them to live happily. Just don't forget that you need to keep the insect alive for your safety and never reveal that Meiling's illness has been cured." Ling Hong said as he stretched his body.

"That won't do." Hua Jun shook his head. "Like I said before, I'll atleast give you a place to live and some money to start off."

"Uncle Hua, like I said...." Ling Hong began to refute, but Hua Jun stopped him before he even began. "Little Ling, I've already decided to give you a small villa near Qing Shui Lake which is one of my least costly properties. Consider giving this old man some face and take it."

"Alright then." Ling Hong bit his lip as he agreed.

"Good! I'll send over someone to tidy the place up and act as housekeeper for you. You can move in by tonight and they can guide you around for the next few days. How's that?" Hua Jun asked enthusiastically.

"Okay, but I need to rest for a while so how about we continue afterwards?" Ling Hong said.

"Ah, I forgot that you were also tired. Here, let me show you to the guest room." Hua Jun said and guided him to a room at the end of the hall.

After Ling Hong went to rest, Hua Jun started to make calls to carry out the things needed. He planned to treat Ling Hong very sincerely and give him a good starting point in whatever he intended to do.

He called up Liang Hui and informed shortly about the things that transpired and promised to treat him for a grand meal as without his accidental discovery, they wouldn't have seen Meimei anytime soon.

Next he called his lawyer and informed to start the necessary procedures for transferring No. 3 Lakeside Villa to Ling Hong. He also instructed an assistant to prepare a bank card with 10 million yuan and a Diamond Membership card for all the businesses under Blue Ocean Group. He then asked Brother Sun to prepare a car and driver specially for Ling Hong.

If anyone from the company were to see Hua Jun's actions, they would be stupefied. This was because although he was rich and successful in running his business empire, Hua Jun never offered his senior officials such gifts. If they were to see how generous he was to Ling Hong, they would curse all ancestors of Ling Hong right on the spot.

At this moment, one of the servant girls entered carrying the water and fruits he requested earlier and placed it on the table. When he was pondering on who to send as a housekeeper for Ling Hong, he suddenly saw the girl and his eyes lit up.

"You there. What's your name and rank?" he asked in a rough voice that nearly startled her.

"Replying to Master, my name is Li Xin, just a common servant unworthy of attention." she replied timidly.

"Good then!" he laughed, which caught the girl by surprise. "Girl, you have good luck. A very important guest of mine will be moving into No.3 Lakeside Villa and requires a housekeeper as well as a guide around the city. You shall be assigned to this, so go and pack your things. Brother Sun shall take you there and you will have to prepare the place for the guest to sleep tonight." he said to the surprised girl. He chose her as she was right around Ling Hong's age and thus would be easier to get along with him.

Although she wanted to refuse such a high position, but this was an order from the head of the house so Li Xin didn't dare reject. Also she felt that it would be better than having to bear the insults of Ms. Liu, just that she hoped the so called guest would be not give her a hard time.

She nodded and left quietly to pack her thinks and soon came back with a suitcase. Hua Jun took her outside and explained to Brother Sun what to do. Brother Sun nodded and instructed someone to drive the girl to the villa after passing the keys to her.

Just as Hua Jun walked back into the hall, he saw his wife sitting on the couch waiting for him. He sat next to her and asked quietly "The girls?"

"Meiling was so tired after being cured that she fell asleep after taking a bath. Meimei insisted that she wanted to sleep with her so I just let them be." Ling Xiu said as she munched on some grapes.

Pausing for a bit, she added "I have to say, even though they are not little kids, the sight of them hugging each other in sleep was truly adorable."

"After 14 years, it seemed that the god of fortune had finally smiled upon us. Looks like the reading you got from the priest at Lingjue Temple turned out to be true." he said with joy.

"Hmm, you're right. I'll have to go there personally and make a big donation sometime in the future." she smiled and asked "What about the child? What have you planned to give him?"

Hua Jun then explained all that he had arranged for Ling Hong. She nodded in approval, after all what he had given them was beyond anything money could offer. As she heard him recounting the arrangements, she reacted abruptly as she remembered something.

"How should we go about with the matter regarding Meimei?" she asked her husband.

"Well, my plan was to go at it slowly. A weekend banquet to announce that we had found her, then let her slowly integrate into school with Meiling. We have to make sure it's safe at every turn - even though the plot was uncovered, the enemies are still unknown." Hua Jun said.

"Is it alright to send her to school this early? We don't know if she can do it. For all we know she has not caught up to current High School syllabus given that there was only Junior High in the village." she asked anxiously.

Before Hua Jun could answer, a faint voice travelled from the end of the hall "Uncle Hua and Aunt need not worry, Meimei won't have any problems."

As they looked back, they saw Ling Hong exiting the guest room with a refreshed look on his face. He walked forwards and sat across them, before replying.

"I have been teaching her High School topics and by my guess she should be nearly at the second year portions level, actually above what is required. It's just that she has not much experience with exams so there's just that issue." he said casually.

"What! How is that possible?" they both exclaimed in surprise.

"Back then when I had my accident, I had already cleared the High School Entrance Examinations. But later I couldn't go to school due to my weird issue. Then even though I couldn't do exams, I had self-studied and completed the entire High School syllabus. So when my injury was cured, I wrote them out into books for Meimei." he said, shrugging his shoulders.

The couple sighed. They felt terrified at the talent of the young man and imagined to themselves - what heights could he have reached if not for such a tragedy happening? Hua Jun lamented inside about how things went. Suddenly he was struck by an idea as he looked at Ling Hong.

"Little Ling, if you had been in school then by this time you'll be in the final year of High School, right?" he asked.

"Mmm...I guess." Ling Hong replied.

"Then do you want to attempt the National College Entrance Examination? I could pull some strings so that you could be admitted as a high school student. It's fine even if you don't go to classes, after all there's less than three months left and they won't ask anything." Hua Jun said. He knew that if he did so, Ling Hong could come out at the very top with his skills.

Ling Hong just smiled in response. College? He had never given it much thought. He had only been focused on cultivation and battles for several decades in his previous life. Even after reincarnation, he never hoped to have the luxury of living a normal life.

He was now curious though - should he just try and live out like a normal person instead of going down the cultivation path again? Shaking his head, he put away all these thoughts and thought of what to say.

"I'll decide after giving it some thought." he replied.

"Haha good then! I'm afraid it's already late now, so I'll get Brother Sun to drop you off at the new house. I've already arranged a housekeeper for you, she's around the same age as you so there won't be much issues in communication and she will act as a guide for you. Let's discuss the other matters later." Hua Jun said as he got up.

Ling Hong nodded and followed him, although he had rest he wanted to have a good sleep. He got into the car and they sped off towards the lake area.
