After Qin Li saw the scene between the old man and the guy whose actual identity he dreaded, he went back to the main hall. His heart was filled with unease. 

'Why is that bastard close to the former general?' he wondered. 

Arriving at the main hall, he saw his parents talking merrily to some acquaintances. Yet when he approached them, he noticed that they were absent-minded, as if the sight of him made them think of somebody else. 

All of a sudden, he felt an ominous throbbing from his heart. 

Qin Li might not be the brightest, but he was not also out-and-out an idiot. He saw Chen Fang. The venue was not that big for them the latter to run into the Qin couple. 

Qin Li felt some panic in his heart and looked for Mo Xiulan. In their circle, she was the only one he could confide his problems to.

Unfortunately, before he could find her, an accident happened. Somebody pulled him into a dimly lit corridor.
