I Have No Plans To Accept A Disciple...

"Sorry. I have no plans to accept a disciple. You can just give up now." Duke said confidently.

Hearing Genos's request, Duke actually did not want to reject him but Saitama and Genos are originally meant to be in a teacher student relationship in the One Punch Man comic book. Duke did not want to change history, therefore no matter how Genos begged Duke today he would not change his mind and accept Genos as a student.

Duke also knew his own short comings, if he accepted Genos as his student, Genos would turn from a promising young hero to become a shut in otaku like himself within three days. After all Duke had become a shut in otaku after he gained great power.

"Teacher Duke. Please listen to me. I have a reason to become stronger and for this I am willing to sacrifice my own life. Please teach me how to become stronger.", Genos said passionately. Genos stared intently at Duke, not wanting to give up this opportunity.

Duke sighed and said, "Even if you say that I won't accept you as a disciple.".

"Teacher would you like to listen to my story ?", Genos asked. Seeing Duke's reluctance to accept him as his disciple, Genos decided to tell Duke about his tragic past to win Duke's sympathy.

"Stop !! Don't say anything. I have no interest in your past.", Duke shouted out as he wiped off beads of sweat that flowed from his forehead. Duke knew that Genos had a mouth disease and could say 3,000 words without stopping and once he started, he would be talked to death by Genos.

Genos was disappointed and sat at the coffee table quietly while looking at Duke. Although Genos was prepared to be rejected as an apprentice to Duke, when he was really rejected by Duke as an apprentice Genos felt really sad.

Duke looked at Genos and knew he was a pitiful man that had experienced untold hardships. Although Genos's heart was full of revenge, he was an upright young man that had a good character and integrity. Duke couldn't bear to see Genos sad so he decided to show Genos his true destiny.

"Genos, although I won't accept you as a disciple, I can introduce you to someone stronger than me and let him be your teacher.", Duke said with a friendly smile on his face.

"Teacher Duke are you serious ?", Genos asked excitedly.

"Yeah.", Duke said as he pointed to Saitama who was scribbling on a piece of paper like a mentally retarded child.

"Look at this bald head .... blah.... blah... he is strong. So strong that this bald head is invincible in this universe.", Duke said as he promoted Saitama like a professional MLM sales man. (MLM = multi level marketing).

Genos didn't even turn his head to look at Saitama. "Teacher Duke who do you want to introduce to me ?", Genos asked while still staring intently at Duke.

"That Bald Head.", Duke replied.

"Teacher Duke who do you want to introduce to me ?", Genos asked again with a look of disbelief.

"Sigh... that bald head over there.", Duke replied again.

"Teacher Duke who do you want to introduce to me again ?", Genos repeated himself while asking in a very respectful tone.

".....", Duke said exasperated.

Duke blinked his eyes in disbelief. Why didn't Genos call Saitama teacher ? Duke thought to himself.

While Duke is lost in his own thoughts, Saitama was upset as he was looked down upon by Genos.

"Hey ! Did you look down on me ?", Saitama asked in an irritated tone.

Genos turned his head towards Saitama, did not speak but nodded at his question.

"Let go of me Duke ! I want to teach him a lesson !", Saitama shouted as he was ready to punch Genos.

"Calm down Saitama ! You will kill him ! And I don't have insurance for my apartment !", Duke shouted as he held Saitama back from attacking Genos.

The living room was a mess and Duke held Saitama tightly for fear that he would kill Genos with a punch. Although Genos said something insulting to Saitama, it does not warrant his death. Young people would surely make mistakes, they need to be saved by the older generation. Duke thought to himself. Although technically Genos is older than Saitama or Duke since he is 29 years old... but he looks like a young teenager with his cyborg body, in fact Duke looked older than Genos although he was younger.

Everyone in the living room finally settled down. Saitama sat angrily at the corner and gulped down a soft drink called Fat House Water. Duke glanced at Genos and thought if I didn't know your upright character in the comic One Punch Man I would have kicked you out long ago.

"Genos, it's wrong to judge people by their appearance. Don't you see that Saitama is special ?", Duke asked.

Genos shook his head, he could not see what was so special about the bald headed man.

"Saitama is special because he is different from us which shows us he is super strong...", Duke said as he began his MLM sales man talk again hoping to convince Genos that Saitama is strong.

"....", Genos said as his wondered if Duke's brain is broken for saying Saitama is strong.

"Well let's make a bet. You and Saitama will compete. If you win against Saitama, I will accept you as a disciple. What do you say ?", Duke asked pleadingly.

"Teacher Duke are you serious ?", Genos asked in a joyful tone.

"Yes, I promised. However if you lose you have to apologise to Saitama and ask him to accept you as a disciple.", Duke said.

"Teacher Duke, please wait a moment, I will be back soon. At that time I hope you won't break your promise.", Genos said in a happy tone.
