The Next Day 3

The next day I woke up a bit late after the party. I got up looked myself in the mirror, since I like to sleep shirtless I could get a good look at my abs. And God and am I handsome. I mean I still look the same as I did in my last life but I guess taking better care of myself helps out alot.

After admiring myself for a bit longer i decided to get dressed and head to my study.

My study looks like an office, with a desk in the centre, unlike an office however there was were alot of canvas on the walls depicting various Kanji symbols.

Jayden uses his study to practice his symbol Power. For a samurai ranger it is equally important to be good at using Symbol Power as it is fighting.

'I should probably read the letter from Mr. Rob before I start practicing.' Jayden thought as he sat down on his desk and took out the letter.

It was one of those old time letters with a wax seal on it, the seal was the Shiba clan crest. Jayden opened the envelope without any effort and took out the letter.

The letter was... empty, completely clean. Even when I held it up against the candle it didn't seem to show any reaction. Just as I thought the letter was just a prank.

A voice sounded in my head."I forgot to actually write something in the letter. My bad." Rob's voice sounded in my head.

"Uhh... Mr Rob is that you?" Jayden said aloud.

"Yeah it's me, just wanted to make sure you didn't end up dead." Rob said in Jayden's head.

" I have been doing just fine Mr Rob. I just got my Samuraizer today." Jayden said.

"Ahh... good now I have somthing that I wanted to tell you relating to your wishes." Rob cut Jayden off and said.

Jayden waited for rob to continue.

"The Nighloks in your universe are going to be more powerful than their TV counterparts." Rob said.

"What why they were already powerful enough." Exclaimed Jayden. He was about to keep talking but decided to shut himself up.

Rob and his wife have been acting like his parents in this world since before he turned 8. He has gained alot more insight into what Rob's thought process is like.

"I did this inorder to fulfill your first wish of the Shiba clan being very powerful clan." Rob replied.

"Because only the power rangers can handle the Nighloks." Jayden said and," Shiba clan is the leader of the power rangers, it is only natural they would be very influential." Rob finished his sentence.

"And for your second wish you will need to find the subway station first. It is in New York." Rob didn't give Jayden enough time to protest.

"And for your third wish, It should activate after you kill your first few Moogers." Rob dispelled Jayden's worries.

"I see... Thank you Mr Rob." Jayden said a heart felt thanks.

"Don't mention it kid it's the least we can do." Rob said.

"Also why did you take the place of my parents in this world." Jayden asked curiously.

"Ayee just felt like it ya know spur of the moment kinda thing." Rob said.

"Okay..." Jayden wanted to keep talking but rob cut the call from the other end.

Feeling like he was missing somthing glaringly obvious he decided to try and distract his mind by reading the book on symbol Power, Kenny has gifted him the day before.

"Master Jayden, the sensors have picked up on Nighlok activity in Panorama City." Kenny said to Jayden.

"I see Master Kenny, please prepare the car." Jayden said. (What you thought he would ride to battle on a horse.)

While Kenny is preparing a car let's talk about why the Nighloks like to attack panorama City rather than some more populated areas like Tokyo.

It is because of the unique location of the panorama City. As we know the Nighloks can use gaps inorder to travel between their world and ours. Because of the unique location of the city is overlaps with the sanzu river, basically making it easier for stronger Nighlogs to travel between worlds.(For more details please read the introduction.)

After gathering himself back up Jayden decided to board the car. It is a black in color SUV sporting a small Shiba clan crest on each of the doors.

It took us only 12 minutes to reach our destination, it was a small beach with multiple guests.

The first step to every ranger battle is protecting the civilians first. Thankfully, the Shiba clan servants are more than capable of handling such a task.

While the servants were clearing the beach, I waited for the nighlogs to appear.

After waiting for a few minutes, the Nighlogs finally appeared in front of us.

From the gaps in between the sand, appeared a few dozen moogers carrying Daos (henceforth refered to as swords.)

"Behold, puny Nighlogs in front of you stands the 17th generation head of the Shiba Clan, the Red Samurai Ranger." Shouted Chen Hao.

Unfortunately, though Moogers do possess some wisdom they are not intelligent enough to actually comprehend what Chen Hao's words actually meant.

As Chen Hao was giving his speech I took this time to take out the Samuraizer and start using Symbol Power and start transformation.

[Transformation]

This is the 2nd time I have used the Samuraizer, the whole morphing sequence will take a little bit more getting used to.

There I stood now in my red ranger armor, taking in all the glory.

Without giving the Moogers a chance to react, I took out a power disc from the disc buckle, then attached it into the spin sword.

Taking advantage of my new found powers I ran into combat.

I slashed my spin sword at the first Mooger, I saw instantly cutting it in half.

The now dead corpse of the Mooger dissipated into dust.

'That was easier than I expected.' Jayden thought.

Now filled with even more confidence, I ran straight towards a group of 3 Moogers this time. Instantly slashing my spin sword and cutting off 1 of their heads clean off.

The other two Moogers ready their swords, unfortunately they are too slow and another one of them got killed.

The last Mooger however managed to slash his sword at Jayden.

'Damn that hurt, I need to be more carful.' Thought Jayden.

As the sword of the Mooger connected with Jayden's body the red ranger armor started to let out sparks from the place that was attacked.

This usually happens when a hit over powers the defences of the morphing grid thereby overcharging it.

Quickly dispatching of the last Mooger, Jayden then takes a fighting stance with the sword over his head.

'There are still 17 more Moogers left', Jayden counts, ' Perhaps this is the right time to change to a lion disc.'

Not thinking any further Jayden opens his disc buckle and takes out the lion disc.

Attaching the lion disc to the spin sword was almost like a other worldly experience. I mean I have used used Symbol Power before, but this a even more enhanced version of that.

Which made sense considering that discs are made by using Symbol Power, a disc allows a ranger quick access to his powers. For example using the lion disk can allow me to lauch red ranger signature move, blazing strike.

Now samurai's only need to attach the right disc to his spin sword. Unlike in old times when rangers needed to write using the Samuraizer.

Let's stop the history lesson however, we are in the middle of fight.

Now filled with the power of fire in me, I ran right into the Mooger's formation and launched a blazing strike.

Just like the skills name i launched a burning inferno of fire at the Moogers.

The Moogers died shortly after.

Shiba Clan House, Panorama City,

Grand Hall,

"Jayden, it was splendid battle, it is truly a honor to be able to see the red samurai ranger back in action." Chen hao said.

"It is thanks to your teaching master Chen." Jayden replied.

"Do not sell yourself short master, it is thanks to your hard work that you have become a master swordsman today." Kenny said from behind, to which Chen hao replied by nodding.

Just as the group was finishing talking Kira walked into to hall and bowed to Jayden.

"Master Kira I have told you not to do that." Jayden said with knitted brows.

"I bow not you master but the position upon which you stand on." Kira said. "You are the Protecter of Earth, it is only natural for me to bow to you."

'Kira has always been a stickler for rules.' Jayden thought while looking back at Kenny for help, only to find Kenny nodding his head in background.

Then he turned his head to Chen Hao saw that he was in deep thought. Realising that his opinion wound wouldn't matter he decided to ask Kira why she came here.

"Why did Master Kira come to find me?" Jayden asked.

"Firstly I would like to congratulate Master on successfully killing the Nighloks." Kira said.

"And I would also like to congratulate Master on successfully becoming a internet celebrity." She continued.

"Did my fight get leaked on the internet." Jayden questions.

"Yes, we have however gotten rid of your face from the video if you were worried." Kira.

"I see could i perhaps see a video of my fight." Jayden asked excited

"Yes, I will send the link to your phone soon." Kira replied.

"Continuing onwards I would like to ask Master Jayden a question." Kira said.

"Please" Replied Jayden.

"Would you like to invite the other rangers." Kira

Jayden went into deep thought and then said," No need, we will call them only if the Nighloks start sending more powerful enemies." Jayden said.

"Are you sure master Jayden, if we invite the other descendants we can let them get used to..." Kenny Started to talk.

"They will be spending the rest of their lives fighting against the Nighlogs anyways, giving them a few more years to fulfill their wishes is the least we can do." Jayden stated.

"But master Jayden..." Kenny wanted to continue.

"My decision is final!" Jayden shouted and started to make his way to his room.

'It is already night time, might as well go to sleep early today.' Thought Jayden feeling tired.

'Although I do agree with master Kenny's comments, I just don't feel like I am ready for the responsibility yet." Jayden thought while falling into his bed.

'Hmmm.... come to think of it isn't the super intelligence power of mine supposed to kick in after defeated the moogers.' Thought Jayden

And just as Jayden was thinking about his powers, he felt like the world around him pause.

Jayden took a deep breath and thought,' What just happened? Did my powers finally kick in.'

Jayden got up from his bed and headed for his study room. All around him the world seemed to be moving slower.

Once in the study room Jayden picked up the book that Kenny had gifted him and started to read it.

The study looked the same as last time, with a desk in the center and canvas all over the walls.

After only 5 minutes, Jayden put down the book.

"I knew I made the right choice by choosing to have super intelligence. my understanding of symbol Power has increased alot in just 5 minutes." Jayden thought.

Jayden took out a paint brush from his desk and stepped towards an empty canvas.

Then he wrote the word Fire Ball in Kanji on the canvas.

Nothing happened to the canvas after that. If somone else was in the room they would have thought that Jayden had messed up.

However Jayden was instead super excited to the point that....

"Yes!!! I F****ing did it." Jayden screaming aloud.

And the next minute,

"Master Jayden are you alright?" Kenny's voice sounded through the study rooms door.

Without replying to Kenny Jayden opened the door to the study.

"Yes Master Kenny, there is something I would like to show you." Jayden said.

Then the pair of Kenny and jayden went to the courtyard.

"Master What do you wish to show me?" Kenny asked

"I created a talisman." Jayden said.

"WHAT?!?!? Master Jayden you must not joke, the way of making talisman has been lost to time." Kenny said looking almost hopeful.

Kenny's reaction is not really unjustified, you must know that the discs that samurai rangers use are just a modernized version of a talisman, if Jayden is able to make a talisman he wouldn't be that far off from being able to make a new discs either.

"Wait and watch." Jayden said being cocky.

Jayden then took out the piece of paper with Fire Ball written on it in Kanji.

Jayden then focused some energy into to the talisman and threw it at a nearby tree.

Instantly the talisman turn into a ball of fire and flew towards the tree.

Unfortunately the power of the fire ball was not high enough to inflict any damage to the tree or even make it catch on fire.

Seeing Jayden being disappointed, Master Kenny patted his shoulder and said," Why are you looking disappointed, you did somthing noone has been able to achive for the last hundred years."

Nodding to Kenny's praise Jayden decided to redouble his efforts in learning symbol powers.

"Please rest Master Jayden, you can continue your research tomorrow." Kenny said to Jayden.
