Buying furniture
Wang Zhiyuan never intended to keep the furniture left by the previous owner. His plan was to sell it off for a small profit. The appliances, like the TV and air conditioner, were from decent brands, so he thought he might keep them. However, when he finally received the keys two days later and stepped into the house, all he found was a collection of unsellable junk. Even the cardboard had been sold off.
Bighead, who had come along, joked, "See, you drove a hard bargain, didn't you? They didn't even leave a pot behind."
Wang Zhiyuan retorted, "Didn't the boss say I could recoup some of the overtime I've been doing? Come with me to look at furniture tomorrow."
"Don't rope me into this, I'm not cohabiting with you," Bighead shot back. "Ask Monk. He paid you two years' rent upfront, shouldn't you show some gratitude?"
