Reincarnated

I was reborn.

Looking down at my hands I saw ten chubby and short fingers that were not my original hands. In the mirror, the pale parlour of a young boy, no more than five or six, reflected back to me. Those amethyst eyes contained a mysterious and unknown glow in them.

I saw the clothes on me. Although they looked unfamiliar to the fashion I knew it was nonetheless similar. I wore a dark brown suit with posh embellishments and expensive gold embroidery. The colour complimented my ash blonde hair.

Suddenly, the reflection in the mirror smiled.

A smile that didn't belong to a young child appeared on the surface of the mirror.

'Good. This is very good.'

"Nikolai Fontainz Young Master! The coronation ceremony is starting in an hour!" A butler entered the room and scooped me up into their arms. They carried me out of the room and as we past the hallways, I realised this was probably the mansion of a upper class baron.

The boy with amethyst eye's returned to a normal expression as they got carried out of the mansion's room into the red carpeted hall.

When I reached the steps of the front door, I saw three people standing there. There was a middle aged man and woman, as well as a middle aged woman wearing a maid uniform. They hopped onto the carriage with stiff expressions, a look of coldness in their eyes.

'Hm, interesting.'

'I like the name Nikolai.'

'From today onwards, I am Nikolai. Nikolai Fontainz.'
