The audience was silent as they watched the the two competitors on the stage. When they saw the few exchanges between Reed and Larry, it caused theirs jaws to drop. Though the exchange were short, they were able to sense the huge amount of force in Larry's kicks.
Their eyes were wide opened and they were not willing to blink as they did not want to miss a millisecond of this intense fight. Some people among the audience were trying to guess the ranking of Read and Larry. Were they Silver 3, silver 4 or silver 5? No one could tell as they was no distinct way to specify there level. But most of those among the audience believe that Reed and Larry were Silver 4.
On the stage Reed looked at Larry, his eyes showing great anticipation within them. Before the fight between Larry and him started. Reed sensed a small sense of danger, and so he didn't dare to underestimate Larry. But it would seem that he still underestimated him as he caught off guard by the immense power Larry showed when he attacked him. This caused Reed to feel very ashamed of himself, he was a professional contract killer, one of the best in his past life. It was because he thought that he was the strongest in his grade, he felt that he didn't need to be on his full guard and even though he felt a sense of danger, he was still arrogant in the need. Now seeing that his made such a rookie mistake, Reed felt undoubtedly humiliated.
Reed knew that if this fight wasn't a friendly competition and if Larry had a good amount of combat experience, Reed would be severely wounded during the first few exchanges. It couldn't be blamed that Reed still underestimated him as he would never think that the person in front of him was the same level as him since the chances of that were one of a million.
But now Reed knew that he should always be prepared for the worst and to never underestimate anyone. If he were to make the same mistake on the battlefield, it's pretty certain he won't be seeing the next sunrise.
"You're strong," Reed complimented Larry. Reed was being honest when he said that. There was no one else he knew that was his level among his age.
"You're pretty strong yourself," Larry replied back. " But all of this talking won't determine who is the strongest between the two of us, so let's hurry this up shall we.
"My thoughts exactly," the moment Reed finished his sentence he charged at Larry at high speeds, causing Larry's mouth to open wide in shock. This shock only lasted a second as after he recovered, Larry's threw his fist towards Reed which soon collided with Reed's own fist. This collision caused a short air burst with the two fist at the epicenter.
The intense fight between the two commenced once again. When faced with the nonstop punches and kicks coming from Larry. Reed was able to to block most of Larry's attacks while the other attacks he couldn't block, Reed was still able to dodge in the end, and every time he saw an opening. He would attack back. As fight prolonged Reed was able to learn a few things about Larry.
He was able to figure out that even though Larry didn't have any combat experience, his fighting methods were those that resemble close to a military one. Military combat styles were those that were used to dispatch enemies in a quick and efficient manner. Seeing Larry's combat style resemble that of the military, Reed became curious of Larry's identity.
A few minutes has passed as Reed and Larry fought each other. At this point of the fight between Reed and Larry, Reed could've already defeated Larry. But it was because Reed respected his opponent that he didn't end the match immediately since it would hurt Larry's pride. However, even though Reed respected his opponent, he didn't allow him to damage his body a single bit.
Due to such a impenetrable defense, it caused Larry to become very frustrated as saw his every punch and kick he sent at Reed were blocked and dodged with ease. Larry couldn't be blamed for this situations, as the one he was fight was Reed. Someone who has lived a life of nonstop bloodshed and combat for the majority of his life.
It was because of that life of the nonstop bloodshed and combat Reed was able to predict every move Larry made.
With every attack Larry attempted, Reed still in the end dodged or blocked it with ease. Larry got more and more frustrated and as time passed, Larry's frustration reached it's peak.
"Take this!" Larry punched once again towards Reed's chest. This punch was different compared to all the other punches. In this punch, Larry betted all of his strength in this single punch, hoping that this punch would break through Reed's defense and knock him out of the ring.
But sadly, this exact action would be the reason Larry would lose this round to Reed. Seeing the punch coming at Reed, he felt an immense pressure coming towards his chest, but Reed didn't feel disturbed one bit as Reed saw a huge opening in Larry's defense.
As the punch came inching closer, Reed didn't attempt to block or dodge, instead ran towards the punch. The audience couldn't help but be in shock seeing this seen. What was Reed doing? Was he trying to face the punch with just his body? However, right before the punch came into with Reed's body, Reed twisted his body, causing the punch to slip right by his body and sent his own jab at Larry.
Seeing his all out attack missed, Larry knew that this fight was over.
"I surrender!" Larry yelled out, causing Reed to stop his punch that was just an inch away from Larry's chest.
"The winner is Reed Felton!" The announced yelled out with enthusiasm.
The whole entire crowd who were all silent stood up and cheered for Reed. The fight they just witnessed was the greatest fight they have ever seen in their life time. This was a fight that would ingrained in their mind for years and years to come.
Ignoring the loud cheers in the background, Reed had his hand out for Larry to shake.
"That was a good fight, but there are many thing you need to learn," Reed said to Larry. Reed was in no way looking down on Larry. He was being honest. Larry understood that and shook his hand as he said,
"It was indeed a good fight and yes, there are many thing I indeed need to learn. I'll be sure to learn them in the future. When I do, I hope you'll be willing to be my sparring partner at that time."
"I sure will," Reed smiled and nodded. "Though the announcer introduced us both already, I don't think it's acceptable as it was them introducing me and myself. So let me introduce myself in my stead, my name is Reed Felton, I hope that will be good friends in the future."
Though Reed just met Larry, he had a good feeling of him. It was a feeling Reed would have once in a blue moon and every time Reed would have this feeling, he would go with it as every time he has had this feeling, nothing bad has ever happened.
Larry too, felt the same way as Reed. " My name is Larry Boris, and likewise, I do hope that we will be good friends in the future."
The fight between the two has ended as Reed and Larry walked away in opposite directions away from the stage. The crowd was still loud as ever, still discussing about the fight between Larry and Reed. It would seem that this topic won't end in a single day.
The rounds afterwards were incomparable to the match between Larry and Reed, causing the loud crowd to become quieter but there were still those talking about the match between Larry and Reed.
After the final match ended with someone winning, the second round has officially ended.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow and over the course of my thanks giving break I'll try to pull out three chaps. I know I said I would release more. Well it seems that I can't due to College and now work taking up most of my schedule. Plus I can't write everyday since I would kms during the process. So sorry for those hoping for more chaps. However you can think of this situation in another way. If I were to upload as fast as possible, well you're gonna get terrible chapters
