Short Story ─ Halloween

Today was a very special one.

It was Halloween.

I, Razel, was at one of the most boring events of this otome game I came to stop at.

The Halloween party was made by the teachers for the students, it was a way for us to relax because of the constant exams we had.

I don't understand how in this world that exists, but... I'm in a game world so it doesn't matter.

My friends came to pick me up to go together, but I told them to go ahead.

I was bandaging my body since I will go as a mummy.

Because there is no better way to cover my ugly face than bandages.

Once I was done, I made sure to leave the crotch part available so I can go to the bathroom whenever I want.

When I opened the door, two people were waiting for me.

"Aah!"

"Raah!"

Eli and Lily were dressed for the occasion.

Eli as a demon princess, a beautiful dress with horns on her head.

While Lily wore a nun outfit with vampire fangs.

They looked very adorable indeed. I said to them.

"You girls look great you look very lovely."

My words made them blush.

"We're not supposed to look cute, we're supposed to look scary! Raah!"

Lily said first blushing and then showing her fangs.

"That's right. Today is a day to show how wicked we are. Haah!"

I had the impression they just wanted to play with it. After all, Eli and Lily told me that they had never celebrated Halloween.

Eli because of family reasons and with Lily, because the mother superior of the monastery didn't like the celebration.

"Oh, how scary. I'm going to be done in my pants."

Very scared I said it and they seemed to buy it.

"In that case, let's hurry to the party. Then we have to go get candy."

They definitely just wanted to play.

The students and teachers were in costumes.

The principal gave a few words about how hard we tried and then the party started.

I won't lie, it was the first time I had fun at a party organized by the school.

In my previous life, the school didn't organize anything, only the students did, if I was invited it was for the usual group to annoy me.

I was having fun.

At a nearby table I watched the capture targets.

Lambert was dressed as a knight in heavy armor as he tried to catch an apple with his teeth.

He accepted it only because Regulux who was dressed as a French monarch asked him to do it.

Apparently he wanted to make fun of him.

Elsewhere I watched Bellange who looked like a gorilla, no, he was already one, but now he definitely reminded me of that giant ape I saw in movies.

He was using his arms to lift a barrel of carbonated juice, it's something similar to alcohol, but without it being alcohol.

They could use magic, but Bellange wanted to show off his strength.

Then I would see my friends, Cid, Derrick and Cliff talking to a teacher, they were dressed as the three musketeers.

Lastly, I would see Oscar who was dressed like that music singer who died from playing too much with pills. He was saying something to Jake, who was dressed as some kind of robot.

"Jake, I'm telling you that no matter how hard you try, you won't be able to create a bomb using candy and fizzy drinks."

"You're annoying. Besides, there's nothing the great Jake can't accomplish."

*Sigh*

"Why do you want to create one in the first place?"

"I want to play a joke on that serious Lambert, I want to see what kind of face he makes when he's surprised, hahaha."

"How childish you are."

Jake placed several sugary candies in a soda, shook it, then did the same on several....

Hey, what the hell are you doing...

Jake. Jake, stop it.

Hey...

Just as he finished placing the last of the soda bombs, they seemed to synchronize which caused an orange light to occur causing an explosion.

The room was flooded and we all had to run.

"You're a big, stupid jake!"

"Uwaah, I didn't want this to happen to me!"

We ran because of the giant wave of soda that filled the classrooms.

In the end, we got on the roof as the wave of soda multiplied due to it entering the teacher's lounge where a strange potion was being created.

They had to open the doors to let the freshet out and the streets were flooded.

Because of Jake the girls couldn't go out trick-or-treating.

We returned to the Rosenberg mansion located in the capital.

We could not stay at the academy as the smell of sugar and citrus was too strong.

The girls were sad, I was thinking how to cheer them up when Glenn opened the door.

"Good evening, you're just in time."

Glenn was dressed as a giant bunny.

There was music playing inside.

I asked him what happened.

"Madam was preparing a surprise party when you returned in a few hours, but it seems to have been ruined."

In the distance I could see someone approaching.

It was Barbara, she was dressed as a succubus.

No, she was already one, but now she seemed to be masking that identity with the truth.

"I'm so sorry your party was ruined, but don't worry, I'll make sure you enjoy this day without fail my girls."

The girls were happy, they entered the mansion. I followed after them, but Barbara whispered to me before continuing.

"This dress was chosen especially for you, so you didn't sleep tonight, fufufu."

Looks like it's going to be a good witch's night no doubt.
