41) First test

I came to the spirit realm using spatial magic. Everyone was gathering around in one place so I went there to see what was happening. Autolycus who was one of the people standing there saw me and greeted me. He said that the first test of the spirit king competition has been announced.

"The first test is going to be a survival round where you have to survive on an Island for a month. The catch is that your grimoire is going to be deactivated so you cannot use magic inside your grimoire but can only use your mana. Additionally, there will be dungeons around the island which will contain monsters, traps and ancient grade magic items".

I asked Autolycus where and how did he get this information and he explained " This information was given by the spirit king's butler who was made by the spirit king's magic Alfred. He is the one standing in the middle of the crowd ". I heard Zeus's loud voice so I went there to see what was happening.

Apparently, Zeus got mad at Alfred for only saying this now but Alfred just ignored him. This made him even more angry and he shouted "Do you think you are some big shot? After the spirit king, I am the most strongest god alive how dare you act like you are above me ". After being ignored twice Zeus attacked Alfred out of anger and was sent flying.

Zeus was an ascended rank mage and he was sent flying in a millisecond. That butler is on another level. There were still 2 days so Zeus left in anger. I had an advantage before as all my magics are ancient rank but I cannot use any attack, binding/sealing and creation magics due to them being sealed. If there was any god who has more experience they will have a higher chance of winning.

Shops selling magic weapons which rarely had any customers were being stormed by the participants to look for a magic weapon they could use as magic weapons are not banned. I returned to Earth instead and looked for people who have lived in the wild. I met a few people and copied their knowledge of surviving in the wild.

I also copied their magic. I kept searching for people with good experience and magic for 2 days. The magic that showed the most promise was sense magic which passively increased all their senses by 5 fold. I copied it and upgraded it to ancient rank which increased my senses 100-fold. I returned to the spirit realm.

It was time for the first test. All the participants were teleported to a different dimension. I was all alone in a forest with giant trees. These trees alone are at the height of a skyscraper. I used sense magic to access my surroundings. As I thought passive skills can be used.

There was a huge rock in front of me so I used the mana stone magic on it to try to create the stone model of the world. The rock slowly moulded into a giant island. The size of this island is the size of the whole Clover kingdom. Since the island is so big I couldn't watch the detailed version as I wanted to keep my mana. I just looked where the nearest dungeon and a river are and stopped the magic.

As I thought it seems as long as there is a catalyst of the same element I can use the magic on the element. If I want to use stone magic I need a rock/stone. Then if I need to use water magic I need water. So they didn't make it impossible to clear after all.

Suddenly I heard a huge thudding behind me. It ran so fast that it covered around half of my sensable distance before I even turned around. I turned around and it reached to where I was standing. I thought to myself " I guess I spoke too soon that this is going to be easy "
