Opening my eyes with a loud sound of grasping, I stared at an unfamiliar seal. It was white and had no visible spots.

After seeing that the pain in my body was nowhere to be found, I closed my eyes again and started taking heavy breaths before calming my mind down.

After a while, I again opened my eyes and started looking around. I am inside what seems to be a hospital room, and no one is in my vicinity. I am lying on the bed alone.

'How did I get here?' I ask while recollecting my memories.

'I remember being pushed back by the pack to the wolves and getting bitten, then... Wait, what's the situation?'

Remembering the situation, I tried to get up but fell on the bed Sudden aking pain.

Argh!

like every single mussel in my body is being torn. But after falling on the bed, the pain eventually vanished.

Because of the pain, my mind started thinking rationally and calmed down.

But when I was busy looking at the surroundings and thinking about what would have happened, I heard a door opening sound.

Looking at the only door inside the room, I notice a woman wearing a white t-shirt and black pants entering the room. She has silver hair falling down to her waist and crystal blue eyes with a beautiful face that can make any man drool.

Beside her was standing another woman with black hair and green eyes, wearing a pair of glasses and a white coat, seeming like a doctor.

I stared at the duo in disbelief.

'Isn't she Jaina Frost? "What is she doing here?' I said inwardly. In my previous world, Jaina Frost was a figure that every teenager knew. She was an actress and very popular.

Jaina Frost's POV

I am Jaina, AKA Ice Princess, a 6-star ability user.

I was working at my office when I got a sudden call from my friend. Hearing her, a smile formed on my face.

She was talking about trading a 7-star rank item, which can increase defiance by 50%. It was a great deal, and I had to take my hand in it.

The place of meeting is the city of Drake. Which is nearby my house.

I instantly prepare myself and walk out of my house. Entering my car, I drove away for my destination.

After travelling for almost 3 hours, I finally reached the city of Drake.

But my plans got delayed by a sudden outbreak. Near the plaza of the city, a crack has formed, causing chaos. and it seems like people are getting pushed back.

I instantly went there and started aiding them. After completing my job, I was about to leave when I heard a roar coming from one of the parts of the city.

I quickly ran towards it, and soon after, I spotted a kid around 17 years old fighting with some wolves.

I was about to help him, but I saw something unimaginable. His eyes, which were shining with a golden hue, suddenly moved, and one of the wolves got injured. And the face that kid is making is that of someone who has lost everything and has gone through countless hardships.

A sudden excitement crossed my mind, and I started watching him.

But the situation changed after the wolf's leader led everyone to attack him at once. Soon after, the boy was buried under the pact of the wolf.

Seeing that the boy is in danger, I quickly cast a 3-star attack. Ground freeze, and everything froze in an instant.

Walking near the boy, I noticed blood all over the place. I thought it was from the wolves, but after looking around, I got surprised, and a smile formed on my face.

'This guy... not only was he fighting a pact of wolves alone, he even killed a peak 2-star chimaera horse?'

Not many people his age can do so. At an age like that, thinking of killing something is another matter.

"It looks like I have found something interesting."

I stared at his face for a while before freezing his wounds.

Coming Zero's POV

'Not to brag, but in this world she is looking even more beautiful, probably because of Mana." Mana has a natural property that can make anyone who absorbs it live longer and make their skin smoother.

"How are you feeling? ... any abnormalities" Suddenly, the woman wearing a white coat asked while standing near me.

I looked at her for a while, then said

"I only have mussel pain. I think it will go away after taking some rest."

The woman nodded with a smile, then left after checking my condition.

Now only me and Jaina are left in the room. An awkward silence covered the whole room, then it was broken by Jaina.

Bringing out her phone from God knows where and showing me a picture

"Are you the one who killed this?" She asked.

In the photo, there is a monster who has a horse-like body and a bull-like head. I instantly recognised the creature and looked at her with a confused look.

She felt my gaze and she said. "You don't have to be nervous; you can just answer yes or no; I will keep it a secret."

In her voice was genuine concern and curiosity. But cutting off her question, I asked her another question.

"Are you the one who took me here?"

"Yes, I was near that place and found a pack of Mayasma wolves. After killing them, I saw you underneath a pile of wolves and took you here. Don't worry, we have contacted your family; they are also safe."

Fuuu

After hearing her a breath of relief release from my mouth.

"Oh, I see. Wait, then what happened to the crack?" I asked.

"It's taken care of by me," she nonchalantly said.

"I see, as for your question... yes, it was me who killed it," I said after taking a breath of relief.

"As I thought..." she said before lowering her gaze and making a small vow.

"Thanks for your contribution of killing a peak 2 star alone. If it got loose, then many lives would have been lost."

Feeling awkward, I chuckled and said "You don't have to thank me like that; I have just done what needed to be done."

After nodding, she left the room, leaving me alone.

Finally alone, I sighed. "I hope Elly is okay," I said.

Two hours later, the door to the room again opened, and entering the room were three people. One is a small kid at her age of 5, and the other ones are middle-aged men and women.

They are my family.

Running to my bedside, they all stopped; tears could be seen in the corner of their eyes.

"Are you ok, son?" My mother was the one to ask.

In response, I smiled and nodded.

"Yes, that's my son. I am proud of you." And this time, the middle-aged man who is standing beside my mother spoke up.

It was my father, Ronald Elway.

But he had to stop because he felt a chill from his side, where my mother was looking at him with a wide smile, but...

"Honey, it's not the time to talk about that; our son is injured," my mother said.

I can see my father gulping in fear.

'Poor man," I thought, and I let out a forceful smile.

"And you..." Then she looked at me. Unconsciously, I also gulped a mouthful of saliva.

Then her smile turned into a sigh, and she looked at me with a worried look.

"Don't do that again, okay?" She said it with a warm smile.

"Ok," I said, nodding with a small smile.

Then my gaze fell on the little girl who was standing with her cheeks puffing up, seemingly angry about something.

I gave her a smile. "Elly, are you angry?"

Hmph

She turned her head away in a curt manner.

"I am sorry. Okay, I wouldn't do that again," I said in a sorry face, still maintaining my smile.

Looking at me with the corner of her eyes," she said. "Promise me you will bye me, sweets."

"Yes, I promise."

Then her face brightened, and she again asked. " Really?"

I nodded with a smile. And her mood got brighter.

"Kids," I mutter.

Then, after talking for a while, my family left the room.

After a day's rest, it was finally time to leave the hospital.

Thankfully, nothing much happened. At 10 a.m., my parents discharged me from the hospital, and we drove to our house.

Other than Elly keeping asking me to tell her a story, another day passed by.

I am currently sitting on my bed, looking through the internet. Although the technology is not on par with the world I am from, this world has its fair share of reliability. Like dwarfs who specialise in making complex engineering and artefacts that can be used by people.

People use mana to do other stuff, like fuel cars and generate electricity and etc.

No one knows why or how it came to this world, but some people say mana is something that is present everywhere, even in space, where there is nothing but a black void.

The origin of mana is a metaphor for the creation of a universe filled with mysteries.

But as I was thinking, I heard the door bell. Because I was the only one present inside the house, I walked to the door and opened it.

But no one there.

Haa!!

"Is this a prank?"

But before I could close the door, I noticed something on the ground.

Picking it up, I looked at it for a moment. It was a letter with black cover. On its cover, there is a symbol of a golden shield.

"What a strange letter!"

Then I looked at its sender and who it was for.

Seeing the contents, a large frown appeared on my face as I said
