Chapter 122 - A Grimm Discovery (2)

Shallot: "Damn this is pretty good. This reminds me of a soap opera. I wish I had some popcorn for this."

Blake walked over hitting Shallot's arm.

Blake: "Shouldn't we be moving forward."

Shallot looked at Blake wondering why her mood has been flipping recently. Usually, she wouldn't care if he made jokes at the expense of other people.

They all jumped down into a lower area from the metal catwalk and saw a large door ahead of them. They continued walking forward and a swarm of Grimm came running out. The same business as always, they get blasted, and more come.

There was a difference this time. They could see a shadow come from above with a large figure landing on the ground with the ground cracking underneath it.

It was large standing at 13 feet with the width of a sumo wrestler. It had a bone line mask on its face that resembled a Japanese demon. The mask had a single glowing yellow eye on the forehead of it. Two bone horns at the top of the mask with jagged teeth for its mouth. It had bone-like teeth on the front of its large stomach resembling the upper part of a mouth.

It had two arms that ended in large bone-like hands with feet that seemed closer to that of a rabbit. They all were looking at it when Shallot was ready to just blast this one also when Yang stopped him.

Yang: "That one looks fun. I want to fight it."

Yang was ready and smashed her fist that was in her gauntlets together ready to attack. Yang rushed towards it expecting it to be slow from its size when it lunged at her with great speed. For Team CFVY it looked as if the Grimm disappeared from their vision but Team RWBYS could easily watch it.

Yang sent a punch at the bone-like club that was its hand being swung at her. She made contact punching the club hand away and sent another punch forward aiming for its chest. The Grimm moved quickly avoiding the punch by jumping backward.

Yang followed close to it sending out a flurry of blow with the Grimm swing its arm to send the attacks away.

Velvet: "Is she having trouble with it?"

Ruby looked over to Velvet and shook her head.

Ruby: "She's mostly playing around with it. We can all see it moving and Shallot moves a lot faster. It still isn't a threat at all. She just wants something more durable to beat."

Fox: "Well, Yatsuhashi is the toughest one on our team."

Yatushashi started sweating hearing that hoping that he doesn't have to go against her in the tournament. He knows that Shallot may go easy on him since there is such a strength gap.

While they were talking on the side Yang seemed as if she was getting bored and made a burst of speed disappeared from the others view except for her teammates. She was right behind the Grimm and punch it in the head with a shotgun blast taking it off. She then sent a barrage of punches making its body look like it was made out of swiss cheese.

After the Grimm was defeated a white a black droid holding a minigun came out and started shooting towards Yang. Pyrrha tried crushing it like the others and noticed that she couldn't crush it like before. She couldn't do anything to the droid at all but the gun she was able to.

She crushed the gun it was holding and the droid threw the gun to the side seeing that it was useless. It charged towards Yang with electricity running across it.

Shallot: "Smart plan, if you can't when in a fistfight then use elements."

Nora charged out swinging her hammer into the droid sending it flying but not before the electricity was passed to Nora. Nora was more amped and ready to go.

Nora charged after the droid slamming her hammer down fully encased in the electricity making her reaction speed even higher.

Nora: "Nora Smash."

Merlot: [Comms] "Do you believe things happen for a reason, Oz? I mean, your little prodigies practically washed ashore here on my island!"

Shallot: "Is Merlot talking again? I'm going to have to make a channel where I can listen to what he's saying. I could always listen to the recording since it is still being broadcasted to my device it just can't get through the safety protocols."

Ozpin: [Comms] "I'm not sure what you're getting at."

Shallot: "You know, the more I listen to him the more I think he's going to somehow get us tied up to a chair, then divulge his entire plan to us with a presentation-like display only for us to escape afterward thwarting his plans. He will then scream as he's being taken into custody while screaming I would have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids."

Merlot: [Comms] "Maybe they can be of some use to me after all? How serendipitous. The body of the monkey Faunus will greatly help with my plans for scientific development. The next stage of evolution is so close. Don't you see it Oz, you delivered what I need directly to me."

The large door in front of them opened letting them walk in without any difficulty. They walked in to see that that it looked rather clean on the inside.

Weiss: "At least it's not as filthy inside as it is outside."

Fox: "It doesn't smell bad in here either, but it does smell like a hospital."

They were looking around seeing the entrance they came through shut behind them.

Coco: "He do know that doors... wouldn't stop you right?"

Shallot: "Maybe it's automatic and he didn't do it himself. Like an automatic door at a grocery store."

Yang: "I haven't seen a grocery store with automatic doors before. Usually, those doors are saved for important places."

Yatsuhashi: "I've seen automatic doors for places like that when I visited Atlas before."

Weiss: "They only have doors like that in the wealthier areas of the city."

Shallot: "I thought Atlas was run by the general and he made sure that it was supposed to be futuristic or something."

Weiss looked at everyone waiting for her answer.

Weiss: "No, it's not futuristic, it has better maintenance than most places, and most of the city is taken care of by the machines there, but it shows that it is a place run by the military."

Ruby: "So the general isn't the leader of Atlas but is just responsible for the security."

Yang: "So he's a glorified security guard with the support of the people there along with being the head of the school there."

Weiss was thinking about it and that seemed kind of like what he is. He doesn't have a large amount of political power but others won't disregard what he says due to his semblance that she knows from her sister.

Nora: "Shouldn't we get moving so we can smash some more things."

Ren: "Even though stopping here for a break is appreciated I also want to continue so we can finish our mission so I can lie in my bed."

Nora: "And mama Nora hasn't had her pancakes and wants to get her Ren to cook me food."

Ren just chuckled at that knowing that once they get back he won't get any rest until her stomach is satisfied.
